Roll up, roll up - ladies and gentlemen prepare yourself to witness...
The amazing HeadSpin animated Optical Illusion!
HeadSpin is an incredible optical illusion which creates a strange visual hallucination effect after use. The 'trip' has to be seen to be believed - you cannot achieve these results (legally) in any other way! Don't worry though, it's entirely harmless and will fade after 30 seconds or so :-)
Caution: HeadSpin contains flashing images and should not be used by people suffering from photo-sensitive epilepsy.
How to use HeadSpin
~ Set the duration of the illusion, from 30 seconds up to two minutes - the longer it runs, the stronger the visual effect.
~ Hold the screen 10-15cm away from your face.
~ Gaze into the HeadSpin animated 'whirlpool' until the time is up. Keep staring until it finishes for maximum impact.
~ Look around and be amazed as the hallucinogenic effects of HeadSpin take place before your very eyes!
Tips for great visual effects
~ Look at the back of your hand and see your skin crawl!
~ Try to read some text and watch the words squirm!
~ Close your eyes to enjoy enhanced visuals or check out a favourite photo or painting and see how it looks.
~ The possibilities are only limited by your imagination!
History
HeadSpin is an example of the visual illusion known as 'motion aftereffect', which can be triggered by many different means whenever 'viewing a moving visual stimulus for a time... with stationary eyes, and then fixating a stationary stimulus.' (Wikipedia)
Motion aftereffect from gazing at spinning spirals was first noted by Joseph Plateau (1801–1883) in 1849, however the three zone version used in HeadSpin was created by magician Jerry Andrus in 1977 - a trick he calls the Tri-Zonal Space Warper.
Now HeadSpin brings this amazing optical phenomenon to your Android device!
