[2012-07-09] MacGyver: Great App I have been looking for an app for my Samsung S720C (straight talk version of the Illusion) that would let me use my .LOC file downloads instead of .GPX or manual entry for GeoCaching and this one works Fantastic. Less than 10 minutes after downloading a list of 100 and saving it on the phone we had found our first 2 caches with this app and are taking the app on an all day power caching run. Like others i have GPS status & toolbox installed so i have the "radar" option and it is spot on. 5 Stars for this one!! |
[2012-07-06] Sam: terrible worst app of all time |
[2012-06-11] Michael: Useless Not totaly useless, but since it won't automatically provide data due to TOS I will download an app that does. Uninstalled! |
[2012-06-05] Hilary: Love it!!! I came to this app from Blackstar on a Blackberry, so I was used to having to create and upload pocket queries. As someone who attends events at which new caches are released before they are published, I love the fact that you can quickly and easily put the co-ordinates in as a waypoint and save it with the cache name. I downloaded GCDroid which I couldn't get it to work at all, and Columbus and find each good in different ways. I prefer the simplicity of GeoBeagle and the clear compass, but I like Columbus' ability to list nearby caches for more spontaneous caching forays, although you do seem to end up with a rather long, unwieldy list to negotiate! The advantage of pocket queries is that you determine how many caches on the list which makes it easier to navigate, and you can save each route separately on the SD card. If you are confident using pocket queries and want to be able to log your own co-ordinates, then this app definitely wins out. |

[2012-06-02] Mark: Works great on Honeycomb but not Ice Cream Sandwich |
[2012-04-19] Denise Vajdak: Somewhat useful It can work with GPX files from Opencaching.US and Terra caching, but...I don't like the split screen on cache list. Can't sort cache list. Older versions seemed to work better. |

[2012-04-16] waynehunter48: Junk B |
[2012-04-16] Habanero: best gc app |
[2012-04-13] Nickname unavailable: does not measure-up what, no augmented reality implimentation? |
[2012-04-07] Thevirgo86: Great Needed thx |
[2012-03-27] Brent: Excellent Had it for a week and it has served us well. Jumping threw the hoops to get the pocket queries is a bit of a pain but completely doable. The map and navigator worked great for finding our last twelve caches. Have not figured out the log from phone tool yet, but shall soon. |
[2012-03-27] Dylan: It wont load Sucks |
[2012-03-11] anholt: Replaced it. Trying to get caches in was infuriating. c:geo made it easy. |
[2012-02-04] Ralph: This app only works if you want an account. Also this app has hardly an caches |
[2011-12-27] Rudy: JUST what i was looking for... great (HTC evo 3d) Had a problem with the gpx file created from the LOC file from geocaching. It froze, but i use the original loc file and it sync just fine then. Nice and easy to use. In addition i have GPS status & toolbox installed so i have the "radar" option which transferred the target information automatically. FIVE start on this one. |
[2011-09-02] Jason: Gash! Get c:geo |
[2011-08-23] William: Works great Works great alone or as aid for paperless caching with your main gps. |
[2011-08-15] LVI56: Use for benchmark hunting. Awesome to load the loc files in. |
[2011-08-09] Jeffrey: Revised So after reading forum posts for hours and not being willing to give up, o finally managed to get it to sync. Haven't tried it yet so will stay a 3. |
[2011-08-07] Bailey: Ok but very fun if you have time on your hands |
[2011-07-11] Anonymous: For a starter geocaching app.. its great! Love total paperless. Just get close most of the time and the kids are on it. |
[2011-05-31] abc: I liked the click or tap to go to radar. Please make this an option again. |
[2011-05-20] psko: Meh... Have to manually download data or be a premium member for this appto work. c:geo is so much better. Uninstalling... |
[2011-05-19] Matt L: Great Benchmarking App I am not a cacher but I am an avid benchmark hunter. I was able to load a gpx file of all the benchmarks in my county without problem. After that it was simple to use and even displays the datasheet. All I need in a mobile benchmarking app. |
[2011-05-14] Tom: It doesn't get much easier! |
[2011-05-03] smile: Love this app! I've found over 900 caches with it. Faster than other apps & I can delete caches from the map after i've found them. |
[2011-04-22] harrier: Can't save to sd card ... |
[2011-04-08] James: Ok app used recently for review in my "Geocaching in Australia" magazine. Thanks. |
[2011-03-11] braxton: Loved it a year ago but c:geo while often buggy is superior. |
[2011-03-03] Demortes: Failed to mention... This app failed to mention to use it with the Geo Caching website, you need a premium membership and offers no alternative. Any site that offers GPX files might work with it, but I don't know of any, and don't care to search. Be more forward with people not to waste their time. |
[2011-02-26] Micah: Too much of a hassle to get started c:geo is much better! |
[2011-02-21] Craig: Works very well on Desire |
[2011-02-06] K9NSP: An Android Geocachers best friend. |

[2011-01-30] Richard: Excellent... Works like a charm. Tried many apps .. moto droid |
[2011-01-23] roy: I do like this app but my last 3 syncs are not picking up my finds uploaded to bcaching.com |
[2011-01-06] Nic: I prefer c:geo. This requires too much stuffing around for my liking |
[2011-01-05] 1SG: I've yet to need a standalone GPS inorder to geocache. |
[2010-12-29] jaamzw: @ Justin...use the add waypoint feature. Then just type in coordinates and name it. Easy! |
[2010-12-29] Radu: Yeeess search, that was really needed |
[2010-12-20] james: eeeweeweeewwsyeeeeerrdßesrrrfüsssdsrwkeereerrr |
[2010-12-12] Justin: Might be decent, but doesn't let me just type in coordinates of a cache, and there wasn't a convenient alternative. Gave up: used another app. |
[2010-11-17] John: Great app for the compass this part otherwise I use c geo |
[2010-11-17] J: Great app for the compass this part otherwise I use c geo |
[2010-11-10] Ken: I still prefer g:ceo for the ability of finding live caches at whatever location I'm at |
[2010-11-08] dustin: Perfect, does exactly what we wanted it to do, we have had no problems with it at all! |
[2010-10-23] drmirror: Clearly done with a lot of love to detail but the level of integration is way below of what c:geo offers. Doggie theme seems rather weird to me. |
[2010-10-23] André: Clearly done with a lot of love to detail but the level of integration is way below of what c:geo offers. Doggie theme seems rather weird to me. |
[2010-10-23] Damion: Very difficult to load caches to the app. I tried for 3 days and was not successful. Doesn't give specific enough instructions. I switched to c:geo |
[2010-10-23] Turtle: Wish it still had letterboxes |
[2010-10-19] Andras: Good app. 5* if it can be installed to sd. |
[2010-10-18] Matthew: I like my Garmin better, but works ok for unplanned caching adventures. |
[2010-10-16] Scott: Works great |
[2010-10-14] chris: Clean interface. Accurate. You can use/import gpx files! |
[2010-10-12] the 10/13/2010 How to filter or search? Let's implement move to SD! |

[2010-10-11] Edsonius: My only complaint is the direction arrow will flip 180 degrees...pointing the user in the wrong direction. Very confusing and annoying. |
[2010-10-11] Dennis: Love gb and bcaching combo. Finally found my all in one system. |
[2010-10-10] Audrey: Use to work great but now map is way off on cache locations. |
[2010-10-10] Scott: Force close on Hero |
[2010-10-08] Katherine: Went geocaching for the first time today. Used this app to locate 4 different caches. Accurate enough to find the ones we were looking for. Great work |
[2010-10-06] Bailey: Very good |
[2010-09-26] jmcl: Works very fine for me |
[2010-09-24] Mervyn: The option to turn off screen dimming for this app would be great. I have to keep switching or I blow through my battery pretty quickly. |
[2010-09-22] Kevin: It was great back when there was no options for geocaching on android. But now there are better aps to cache with. Get c:geo instead. |
[2010-09-20] DrJulien: I didn't understand it |
[2010-09-20] julien: I didn't understand it |
[2010-09-19] Colton: Stupid you have to set it up on the internet |
[2010-09-14] avadia: Only a three star rating for now. Haven't actually went out and tried it yet. Going tomorrow with my lady friend. Will update after I return. |
[2010-09-14] Abby: I can't get it to work properly. I click on the geocaching link to obtain a cache but it says gps isn't working when its on and operating just fine. |
[2010-09-14] Avadia: Only a three star rating for now. Haven't actually went out and tried it yet. Going tomorrow with my lady friend. Will update after I return. |

[2010-09-13] TheNoWhereMan: Good app but if I don't want to spend the money from prime service from geocach then is slow. Found app that does this better. |
[2010-09-08] Wayne: Seems like an excellent app. Have used it a few times to get back to a saved location, and it hits it about 4/5 of the time. |
[2010-09-07] Benjamin: It Works great once you get used to it.works best when used with a computer to get locations from geocaching.com. |
[2010-09-07] Ian: Install to SD? |
[2010-09-07] Joshua: Was awesome app.. but now it force closes when deleting caches |
[2010-09-05] Frank: Cool app. Some elements I didn't love but overall very well done. |
[2010-09-01] SpaceDetective: Good caching app. Appreciate the letterbox feature |
[2010-09-01] Larry: Good caching app. Appreciate the letterbox feature |
[2010-08-30] Jim: Needs to cache map tiles like Maverick. Too many FC. Needs better interface for managing caches. A very promising start and quite useful! |
[2010-08-27] Tim: I haves used cachmate on the palm I had for year's. I like this much better.:-) |
[2010-08-26] ashley: Parking and trailhead waypoints should be listed in the cache not separate. Confusing... |
[2010-08-26] Shelly: Best geocaching app there is! |
[2010-08-24] freestylekyle: Love it |
[2010-08-22] Dan: It's okay, but c:geo is a lot better. I don't really use Geobeagle at all as c:geo is a lot more holistic and works on the fly. |
[2010-08-21] Cathy: Love it! |
[2010-08-21] Josh: Force close when deleting waypoints. Moto droid |
[2010-08-20] Cynthia: Not as good as c:geo. Please add your cache at opencaching.us |
[2010-08-20] Jerry: Not as good as c:geo. Please add your cache at opencaching.us |
[2010-08-19] Aaron: Great application although c geo is a but nicer because there us no need to leave the app to view caches. I just removed geobeagle. |
[2010-08-19] James: Very useful but can't do everything from the app. |
[2010-08-18] Bish: Great lightweight app that is made even better when paired with 'find geocaches' :) |
[2010-08-18] Tony: Great lightweight app that is made even better when paired with 'find geocaches' :) |
[2010-08-16] Matt: Decent overall, but a bit clunky. Can't measure up to c:geo in my opinion. |
[2010-08-16] Jennifer: Great app |
[2010-08-13] Turtle: Great app. Could be a little smoother |
