DnD Buddy (v. 3.44) Разработано Buddy Tools |
Character viewer and editor that supports D&D 4th Edition characters. Supports creating characters from scratch, exported from D&D Insider online or exported from the software version.
This app is optimized for both tablets and handheld screens (it automatically chooses the tablet version if your screen size is larger than 6"). Get the HD and mobile in one app (and install it on both).
Yes, this app costs more than the $2 quickie, but invest in me please? I'd like to work on this more and I hope you would like to sponsor me a bit. If you look at this apps history, you'll see in a short period, I've had many significant upgrades.
I'm an independent developer: help me raise a new generation of gamers that love roleplaying and Dungeons and Dragons games as much as we do!
Features added since release:
-Optimized for both 1200, 1024 and 7" tablets.
-Kindle Fire, Nook Tablet support
-Dice Rollers (three colors, two dice workspaces, "save" configuration coming soon)
-Character art import
-Wild Magic, Heroic Feat details.
-Hardware acceleration
-Edit/Add custom powers
-DnD Insider power/feat/inventory details added
Coming soon:
Also coming, GM mode...
view screen with multiple characters key stats like everyone's perception values, initiative, skills and conditions.
Lastly, I obviously can't test on all devices but I'm quick to fix things if you can guide me a bit. If you want to take part in sending me bugs, go to this twitter handle:

[2012-03-07] Chris: Must HAVE for a D&Der with a tablet! Only thing that didn't work from the Classic DDI Charactor builder was the power descriptions. But once I uploaded to the online tool, then exported it back to a local file, it worked perfectly! I will NEVER use paper charactor sheets again! |

[2012-03-01] Toby: Lots of missing features For a $5 app i expected to figure stuff automatically for me like ny skills or even update stats on level up. There isnt even a damage field for weapons which would benefit from this. By the time i found this out it was too late for a refund! |

[2012-02-09] Mike: Cool app! Works well. I would love it if we could get a version optimized to the touchpad. Also being able to choose different backgrounds or add our own would be nice. |

[2012-02-03] kilbasar: Great Start! Mostly works well, could use some tweaks. Only fills 2/3 of the screen on Touchpad ICS. Please allow changes to background and/or themes (app is functional but ugly). Thanks for the app! |

[2012-01-29] Jason: Decent. A few improvements needed. Nifty program. Works very well with the character builder file. My only two gripes is that it does not short fort, will, ref, and ac. Does not show initiative. A programable dice roller would be awesome as well. Other wise it has a good interface that shows a great deal of information. A conditions tracker is included which is good for me since I keep forgetting those. Edit: I found the initiative, speed, and defense values. My phone simply was hiding it on me in the last tab. Stars increased to five. |

[2012-01-27] Jeremy: Great with one exception I love this app but as of right now, my asus transformer tablet still sustain minor powers and powers that have to do with, for example, strength vs ac you must spend a healing surge etc. My tablet only shows the str vs ac part nothing about a healinh surge. The power im refering to is martyrs retribution. If these are fixed this app would be perfect, cause its already great. I would also love to see artifact description and all info regarding themes and paragon paths, like my adroit explorer only shows the first power, nothing about the abilities when a spend a surge and such |

[2012-01-24] Joe: Awesome App!! This, I think is well worth the money paid. The author updates pretty regularly, and compared to other character sheets I've tried, this is by far the prettiest, most featured of them all. I've yet to find a better one! Great job and keep up the good work. |

[2012-01-24] Sean: Very nice 4E Charater Sheet Using this on my ASUS Transformer, very nice sheet and looks great. Updated to 5 stars after the latest update. Couldn't recommend this app and the author (who supports it greatly) more praise. Something missing? Just ask. Best 4e character sheet app on the market. Highly recommended! |

[2012-01-22] Rob: Great app with a few faults This works great on a Xoom rocking 3.2. Really great that most stuff is on one page and doesn't feel busy. I wish there was a way to update characters or import them from iplay4e/ddi. |

[2012-01-15] Jose: Spells and Powers... I like this app a lot , but I do have some issues with it. Isn't there any way to keep better track of spells and powers that you've prepared or used? The only indicator I've found so far is that the spell/power highlights when you click on it. That's somewhat helpful, but it would be nice if some adjustment options opened up instead, asking if you're preparing or using the spell/power. Just a thought. Also, I'm having a hard time finding the file I downloaded on my galaxys1 to use as my character's pic. |

[2011-12-27] TheSheDM: Excellent app & involved developer I am stunned by how excellent this app is. Loaded my 11th lvl character on it and have yet to run into any bugs. I sent a message to the developer and he replied & updated the app! Worth the $$ for someone that actually cares about improving & feedback. |

[2011-12-27] crypto: Works OK with dnd4e files... that's about all... However, there appears no way to get the text of the powers into the program. When I twitter, facebook, or otherwise contact the author for help, he deletes my posts. Most powers have more information to them than just the bonus to hit and damage. Effects are the most important part of the power for just about every character. And this tool not only doesn't have them, it won't let me edit existing powers, or add new ones. I can add feats, just not powers. Don't waste your money, you're better off printing your characters to PDFs and just viewing them on your tablet or phone. |

[2011-12-22] Jonathan: Good app This is a great app. I enjoy it alot. One thing I ran into is that the task of moving back and forth from the adding powers window to the charicther sheet is not very intuitive. I love the healing and damage parts, well done. Will give 4 stars when the dice roller is added. And 5 stars when GUI is updated to a more intuitive interface. All in all a great app and glad I bought it. |

[2011-12-03] DDrock: Clean effective app with fantastic support After watching my friends use an app on their iPad I began looking for one to use on my Viewsonic G-Tablet. I downloaded DnD Buddy and it worked admirably on froyo. Lists all of my powers and feats, has full descriptions (unlike the character sheet printout) and has links to the topics in the compendium. I developed a problem when I installed Flashback Honeycomb: the display was wrong in every mode (either it scrunched together or was missing data). Turns out the g-tablet has an odd screen size and resolution. I wrote the Buddy Tools team and forwarded some screen shots. They reviewed the data and provided me with a couple of beta builds to try (one was over Thanksgiving weekend!). The app again works great for me - even better than before! Thanks for the great work, I look forward to seeing what other features you plan to add. |

[2011-11-01] jono_nz: Great replacement for pen and paper! I bought this some time ago but promptly forgot about it when I didn't see a tablet version. Coming back to it recently I was very pleasantly surprised that not only did it support tablets, it supported tablets WELL. I love the interface of this and will be using it whenever I play 4E games. This is honestly one of the better character sheets out there if you have an Android tablet - much better than iPlay4e. It even links to the compendium if you have access to it. Marvelous! Keep the good work flowing :) |

[2011-10-22] Graham: Update - some issues Used the app (on my phone) for my game last night. Some issues. Class, Race, and Paragon Path features are not shown anywhere. Some powers didn't have all their text show up (Example: Looming Threat [Barbarian 7] doesn't include the Rageblood Vigor rider text). Good for lower levels, but a few too many issues for a complex paragon-or-higher character at this point. I'll stick to iPlay4e for now, but I look forward to future developments. Also needs a way to mark powers/items as used. |

[2011-10-12] Will: disappointed. :( After reading the reviews, I sprang for the cost in the hopes of actually having a mobile-device character sheet. Unfortunately, I am sorely disappointed. The import from the WotC tool is borked. It has none of the powers, none of the magic items and the screens stop after scrolling just a little bit down. When I try to make a NEW character, it only lists the feats, etc that were (partially) imported. no import from online builder, no access to the online insider, basically, it does nothing as advertised |

[2011-10-05] GodEater: Ditched my paper character sheet in favour of this It's a really good app. Sure, it has a few rough edges, but given how often Wizards fiddle with the D&D Insider format, and that it's not actually documented, I can't find reason to complain about that. Keep up the good work! |

[2011-09-22] Wayne: Great App, but... The app works great on my phone (Galaxy Captivate), but the layout is screwed up on my Tab (original) and it doesn't function. Twitter is currently over capacity (lol), so I'll tweet the errors later. The App works great, and is easy to use and really helps clearup the desk clutter with 4Es character sheets (5 pages for a lvl 3 character.... really?) |

[2011-09-17] Anthony: Shows a lot of promise Love the app but there are one or two areas that could use work. When reimporting existing characters it tends to double up on equipment and powers/feats. I have to completely clear the apps data before I try to import a character that I've previously imported, deleting the character first doesn't help. Also, when scrolling through powers, feats, etc, it frequently skips sideways to the next list (eg equipment, magic items, etc). Otherwise, brilliant application with a lot of potential. |

[2011-09-12] Michael: Cool, but the powers UI needs a rehaul, takes to long to find powers. Needs a section that shows class feature buffs/abilities. |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
[2011-09-11] james: Good Start Very exciting, but not there yet. It imports from character builder pretty well, some things got mixed up. I'd like to be able to track power usage, and the browsing through powers is very difficult. I think a second screen for powers, with a list of all, with used check boxes (that reset after an appropriate rest), and then a description on the bottom. (all of this is with a tablet) Also, HP should reset on an extended rest. I look forward to improved versions. |

[2011-09-08] Gustave: Good start Installed again to support development. Would like powers to not take so long to scroll through. Navigation in general feels a bit sluggish. Archos 43 |

[2011-09-07] Chris: Getting There I was on the market and this app stuck out to me. While I think adding a dice roller to the app would only bulk it up (many dice apps already, Dice Roller being my favorite), The dev really loves this project and is quick to respond (see his twitter). The $4.50 is hefty for an Android app, but he makes it worth every penny. That said I feel this could use some tweeks for users with smaller phone sizes. |

[2011-08-21] Brian: Great! Now with Insider support! Good DnD app just got GREAT with the addition of D&D Insider connectivity. Interface is pretty intuitive and works well, though things are a bit cramped onscreen even on the tablet version. Having powers on a separate page you can swipe to, just for greater visibility, would be a great option. Inventory capability is coming. Nice addition of notes section. Clicking a power "deactivates" it, but some daily/enc powers can be used more than once, would be nice if the interface tracked these. Buy this app! |

[2011-08-10] Deus Hache: Text Fields Great app, but I need to know where my cursor is when typing. I would also prefer the entire screen to scroll instead of just the bottom section |

[2011-07-31] Sergio: Simply Awesome! While still not complete the developer gives not only this app but the users plenty of attention and care. With a couple more updates this will surely be the best D&D app on the market. [To the developer: Would love to see a feature to add character pics, not a must but a definite plus if you could.] |

[2011-07-29] Ducker: Great if one is looking for a manual character sheet, not a character builder. |

[2011-07-25] SupeRaven: Great D&D App I think this is a great app. One of the few I've purchased. I've been waiting for such an app to come out. I'm especially grateful it supports handsets and tablets (recent update). The dev is also working on integrating DDi login support, which will be great. On the tablet, I would like to see the info spread over 2 or more pages (similar to the handset) so its not so crammed together. This would also allow for larger soft buttons, which would make it more usable. |

[2011-07-11] josh: Only problem is it force closes on my Motorola Backflip, small mobile version works on my Galaxy Tab. Cant wait for the full tablet version! |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
[2011-07-10] Skawt: An excellent start Since the abandonment of ksheet by its author I've been looking for a decent replacement. A paid app at least has less chance of the author abandoning it without warning. Aside from inventory, there also needs to be tracking of milestones and action points. There is no way to add healing surges back. The notes page has a problem with the capitalized first character of a sentence; if I want a number 2, it prints an @ symbol instead. Powers need modifiers for all weapons; some players have melee and ranged. |
