Really disappointed, honestly I have this app on my iPod and it works fantastically. So when I saw it in the droid app store, I bought it thinking that it would be the same great app only with video that I could watch on a bigger HD screen with even better sound quality. As the video started it would work fine however less than 10 seconds into the video the audio and video with fall out of sync and this is happening with every video I tried on it. This app would be amazing if these issues were rectified.

Newer episodes won't play This app is great for accessing all the old episodes but newer ones all throw a "Sorry, this video can not be played" error.

Video cannot be played Guys, you're killing me! I don't seem to be the only one either. App UI could be better, but the content more than makes up for it; when it works :) UPDATE: It seems to be related to WiFi playback. Never have issues using cellular data. Hope this helps.

Easy fix to errors For those with issues with videos not playing go into settings and make sure you select http instead of auto.

Almost perfect This app plays all the videos from the Cinemassacre website, not just the AVGN ones, which is great. So much better than messing with flash and the web browser, which hasn't proved itself reliable. 4 stars for now because the menu system is locked in portrait mode (it switches to horizontal when videos play), which is less than optimal when using a tablet. Let me browse the videos in horizontal orientation and I'll up it to 5 stars. Edit, got a new phone and see that there's no hdpi icon. :-( Double edit: both my complaints were addressed soon after. 5 stars. I did notice a few Monster Madness videos haven't shown up on the app, but most everything else is here. Edit: Immediately crashes when trying to use the app on a Nook HD+.

Great after tweaking settings. Many people have been complaining about some of the videos not playing. I've found if the videos are set to http, they all play just fine. It'd be nice if it just worked, so minus one star. Overall, it seems to work great after the little settings tweak.

I had to take away a star It's not like I'm having any problems with this app, bc the videos work fine for me. It's just what I noticed in the Avgn categories, either videos are placed in the wrong year, or there are no videos there. And the ones placed in a year category do not show up in the large list. It's not THAT big of deal, but when you pay for an app, you expect it to work and not be jumbled up.

Glitched A lot of the thumbnails are missing the appropriate image, and some are completely wrong. The AVGN episodes page is completely scattered, missing episodes in each date. I have tried deleting the application and resetting the database. Nothing helps. Please fix this, I'm on the Samsung Galaxy S3.

Ugly interface, doesn't work properly. Works OK with my Galaxy S3 but occasionally gives me error messages when trying to load videos. Interface is god awful ugly and not all the content from the website is on this app. The screen size also does NOT switch to full screen on my Nexus 7 when I rotate.

Does the job No video? Try changing the protocol for the connection type you're trying to use. All else fails, Http while not pretty is the most compatible.

Quite buggy Videos sometimes drop out even over fast connections. Sometimes when tracking forward the video freezes while the audio continues to play. I would be mad, but I definitely owe James a few bucks for it the years of free entertainment he's given us.

Excellent for the most part I love James' videos but the app seems a bit ropey. Some videos are missing and it really doesn't like to be fast-forwarded or rewound. Once these niggles are sorted it'll be perfect.
