Mere mad mere skole - med bare et klik!

Foreningen ’Skolemad til Nepal’ organiserer gratis skolefrokost til de fattigste børn i den nepalesiske folkeskole. Det koster 1 kr. om dagen at give sund og nærende mad til et barn, som ellers måtte undvære.  

Vi arbejder frivilligt!
Både foreningens danske medlemmer, lærere og forældre i Nepal arbejder gratis. Eneste ansatte er en koordinator som køber ind og laver mad på skolen. Herudover bruger vi et minimalt beløb til at overføre penge fra Danmark til Nepal.

Hvorfor skolemad?
40% af Nepals børn får for få kalorier hver eneste dag. Dette er en af årsagerne til, at børnene har mange pjækkedage og ikke kan koncentrere sig i timerne. Desuden er ’gratis mad’ et argument, som selv forældre, der ikke selv har gået i skole kan forstå. Sidst men ikke mindst er selve organiseringen og dialogen omkring maden med til at gøre skolebestyrelse og lærere mere aktive og entusiastiske omkring forbedringer på deres skole.

Hvor arbejder vi?
I øjeblikket samarbejder vi med to skoler i det sydvestlige Nepal. Skolerne er udvalgt, fordi de  har et meget stort antal børn fra særligt fattige hjem. Læs mere på www.skolemad-til-nepal.dk
