フォニックス（Phonics）という言葉をご存知だろうか。フォニックスとは子供に読み方を教える為に広く英語圏で用いられている勉強法であります。フォニックスには、ある発音がどの文字群と結び付いているかを学ぶことによって、知らない単語でも正しく発音できるようになるという利点がある。残念ながら、英語は多くの言語の組み合わせによって生まれた言葉の為、ラテン系やギリシャ系の言葉独特のルールが存在したり、どの法則にも当てはまらない読みも多く存在する。だが、フォニックスは読み方を教えるのに最も有効な手法といっても過言ではない。

英語で「発音」は英語圏の子供達が発音を習う「フォニックス」を、日本人にわかりやすく、カテゴリー別に教えてくれるアプリです。

カテゴリー別にフォニックスを学んでいくことにより、「カタカナ英語」ではなく、ネイティブ英語の発音で英単語が読めるようになり、さらに知らない言葉でも高い確率で正しい発音ができるようになります。

英語で「発音」は、勉強中のカテゴリーのページを開くとはじめのページで英文字を表記した発音が２回聞け、次の詳細のページでその法則が適応される言葉のサンプルの発音が自分の聞きたい順番で聞ける。その下にフォニックスの法則に基づいて、その文字、もしくは文字の組み合わせをどう読むかを解説。（例外的発音の必須用語においては必須用語の発音のみ。聞き比べするカテゴリーでは言葉の発音のみ）。

目安は一日五分。毎日少しずつ練習することにより、短期間に英語の発音が上達していきます。
