This app identifies several RSS feeds dealing with the subjects of "survival", "emergency preparedness", "flu - pandemic" and "financial news" then updates the data every time you are connected to the web (WiFi/3G connection is a must) and run the application.   By combining all these feeds into a simple and easy to use application that displays the text in large format on your Android, you can quickly keep up with what's going on at these sites without having to browse, zoom-in, read, pan, zoom-out, scroll, zoom-in, read, pan, zoom-out.... you get the point.  

So what is an RSS feed anyway?  

Wiki explains it this way:
RSS (most commonly expanded as Really Simple Syndication) is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated works—such as blog entries, news headlines, audio, and video in a standardized format.  An RSS document (which is called a "feed", "web feed", or "channel") includes full or summarized text, plus metadata such as publishing dates and authorship. Web feeds benefit publishers by letting them syndicate content automatically. They benefit readers who want to subscribe to timely updates from favored websites or to aggregate feeds from many sites into one place.

Gadgetium GRE Trainer is application for students preparing for GRE Exams. Initially it offers adaptive test using  "adaptive test engine" that has been operational for more than 3 years.

Core Features:
- Adaptive Test Experience for test takers
- Auto Test Material Improvement (the app automatically re-adjusts the difficulty level of questions in test material based on usage statistics). This feature is used by test makers for measuring the test quality.


In Android version, Gadgetium GRE Trainer provides 25 questions in 4 modes:
- beginner: 25 easiest questions, used for beginner to get grip on the test material.
- normal  : 25 distributed questions from easy to hard.
- expert  : 25 most difficult questions, used for final exams and building confidence.
- adaptive: start from easy question, getting harder if you correctly answer the question and falling back to easier one if incorrectly answer the question.

This android version is still in beta. We do appreciate  constructive feedback.

TIPS

- Different tones applied to a word may change the meaning so try to listen to the audio carefully and repeat the words or phrases several times first or practice with the locals to get the hang of it.
- Pronouns are gender-specific, like I for example. For females it's 'Chan' or 'Di-Chan' and for males it's 'Pom'.
- Apart from pronouns there are the words that apply to the end of a sentence where we use 'Krap' for a male and 'Ka' for a female.
- Other things to be aware of when reading the transliterations of Thai words are:
   -'Ph' is pronounced as a soft 'P' as in 'pie'. It is NEVER used to make an 'F' sound
   - 'P' on its own is used for a hard 'P' which can sound almost like a 'B'
   - 'Th' is pronounced as a soft 'T' sound as in 'top'. Thai does not have a 'th' sound as in 'the'
   - 'Kh' is used for a soft 'K' sound, while 'K' on its own is a hard 'K' which is close to a 'G'
