The Shapes application is designed and created by teachers for children ages 2 and above. This app is a mini-lesson that teaches shapes using effective teaching techniques to instill shape awareness and recognition. The app starts out by introducing the 8 basic shapes to the child and subsequently follows up with short exercises to reinforce learning.
GOALS:
1) Teach children the 8 basic shapes
2) Develop shape recognition
3) Increase shape awareness
4) Enhance eye-hand recognition
SPECIAL ATTRIBUTES:
- Directed Learning: The voice in the app guides and directs the child what to do throughout the app and offers encouragement and praise.
- Both Audio and Visual learning styles are included.
