多読というのはSSS式多読の3原則に従って、自分のレベルにあった英語の本をたくさん読んでいくうちに自然と英語の力が身につく学習法のことです。

■SSS式多読のルールはたったの3つ。
SSS式多読の3原則
1.辞書は引かない
2.分からないところは飛ばして前へ進む
3.つまらなくなったら止める

まずは、簡単な絵本や童話からはじめて、100万語を目指しましょう。
100万語というのは途方なく聞こえますが、隙間時間を使って1日30分確保できれば1年間で到達可能です。そのためにも無理せずに自分に合ったレベルの本を選び、楽しく続けていくことが重要です。
子供のころ簡単な絵本から読み始めたのと同じように、子供たちが母国語を学んでいく過程と同じですね。辞書をひくのも面倒なのでぶっとばしてよみすすめ、つまらなくなったら無理せずに休むのも同じですね。

この英語多読の楽しみをたくさんの方に知ってもらうには、実践が一番と考えて制作したアプリなので、実際に多読を体感できるものになっています。
多読に興味のある方やこれから多読を始められる方を対象にSSSのレベル0に近く優しい絵本を2話、さらに有料版『1万語英語多読(1)』から1,000語程度の絵本を1話収めています。
英語だけで書かれた本を読み終え、その達成感をこのアプリで経験できます。
きっと多読について「ちょっと面白いかも」、「続けられるかも」という気持ちを共有いただけると思います。
また、多読3原則を崩してしまう辞書機能やメモ帳などの機能を排除しています。


たくさんの方に英語多読を実践してもらいたいとのおもいからリリース後もしばらくはアプリのダウンロード数が1,000を超えるたびに1話追加していこうと考えていますので、3話読み終えたあとも更新を楽しみにしていてください。

※レベル的にはSSSの読みやすさレベル0〜1に近い絵本を用意するように心がけていますが、パブリックドメインの絵本を使用していますので、古い言い回しや難しい単語などもあり、難しく感じるかもしれません。
ただ、単語一語一語を訳すのではなく、なんとなく全体をつかむのが多読です。挿絵も入っているので英語でも内容や雰囲気をお楽しみいただけると思います。

※一部難しい単語には英英訳が記載されています。本文中にグレーで括弧書きされている個所が英英訳の部分になります。


もっと英語で本を読んでみたい方のために、有料版にて『1万語英語多読』シリーズをリリースしています。
英語多読の唯一といってもよい欠点?がとにかくお金がかかることです。
よみやすさレベル1(1,000語程度)の本が1冊500円くらいするので、1万語読むのにも結構なお金がかかります。

Even though Mr Rawles has perfectly formatted the website to be phone friendly, there is no need to use your phones web browser to try and navigate through the blog. Everything you need is in this app and will load rather quickly, even with a limited connection.

If you click on external links within SurvivalBlog, it will use your phone's browser to pull them up, so you won't have to leave the last part of the article you were reading, as long as the app is still running on your phone.
