Meteor Shower Calendar (v. 1.5.2)

Would you like to know when the next meteor shower is? This app will display a list of upcoming meteor showers and the approximate date in which they will peak with specific details on each.

Features:
- A reminder system to automatically notify you when the next shower is coming up!!
- Share this app with a friend
- Share details about an individual meteor shower
- Choose to sort the list of meteor showers by peak, start, or ending dates
- Swipe left/right to see next/previous meteor showers when viewing the details page
- The upcoming sunrise or sunset time is shown at the top
- Enable the "Auto theme" feature and the theme will automatically change to day and night mode before and after sunrise/sunset!
- 4 color themes to choose from: Light, Dark, Daylight, and Night
- If your location uses Daylight Savings Time, enable it in the Settings to add an hour when on Daylight Savings Time
- Conduct a Google Search within the app to read even more about each meteor shower such as its origins and many, many other details and share it with your friends via SMS, Email, Facebook, Google+, Twitter, or any other social network!
- View a Sky Map search to point you approximately where in the sky to look for the meteor shower when it peaks. Compatible with SkEye and beta support for Google Sky Map
- See current Weather Forecast to get ready for the the upcoming conditions
- Shows the Phase of the Moon on the approximate meteor shower peak date!

Permissions:
- Internet needed to show ads
- Coarse location needed to calculate sunrise/sunset time
- Automatically start at boot needed for the notification system

Note:
- App cannot be moved to the SD card due to limitations of the Android OS and the notification system
- Make sure Network Location is enabled in Android system settings for sunrise and sunset times to work properly

Glitch? App used to work fine but today it only shows an ad bar at the top. (Samsung Galaxy S) The ads rotate FINE but nothing else changes. There is "next sunrise" time below the ad, but no amount of swiping the empty space, trying search, closing app, or restarting phone will bring up the list/calendar of showers.

Pretty good app. It could be better, in a few ways. But, for free you can't demand too much. Overall, this app is useful. One of the best features is its ability to work with other apps. In particular, Skeye, Meteor Shower Calender will open Skeye and direct you to the source of the meteor shower.

Solid and stable Great little app with features i would not have expected but that are relevant. Nice job guys. Only thing i see as an issue is there is no notification setting for blocking meteor showers that are not visible from your location. Also the color of the txt could be different if it is not able to be seen from tour location

mobile observ is better.. The app works fine. But I still find myself using Mobile Observatory far more, even for meteor showers. I give the app a 3 because it does what it says. I would had been a 4 if they had added ability to export shower peak time to my calendar.

Very Useful The information is good and sufficiently comprehensive to be very useful. However, the colour themes will not change on this phone : no matter what I choose, it is stuck on blue. Needs to be able export selected showers to calendar. Noten It *is* installed on the SD card.

Needs a few tweaks It would be better if you could pick a hemisphere - select to have only those showers listed that will be visible where you live. I really don't want a listing of those meteor showers I won't be able to see - I get to miss enough showers due to bad weather.

Easy to use..not pretty This is very functional app to find the best dates and times to look for shooting stars. It's easy to use and understand. I downloaded the companion app that even tells you where to look in the sky. That being said, it's not the best looking app in the world. It's function, useful, and free. Five stars!
