Wretched, unable to get get anything to work. Everytime I tried to download the packages I received a message saying the download was either out of date or damaged. Unfortunately trying to download the package once took longer than the fifteen minute time limit google play allows for refunds so I just get to eat the cost. Total crap product.

Just right This is what I was looking for. I've seen some negative reviews and they are from people who misunderstand the program. An infant doesn't start out knowing everything. Let it develop. Be patient. Concentrate on each lesson and work through it. Sometimes you don't get one lesson until a few later, when it suddenly makes sense. After three days, I was impressing my wife, who's fluent.

Doesn't work on JellyBean Great app had been using both this and mandarin app on my old phone, but doesn't work on Samsung S3 jellybean as jellybean doesn't support apps running from sd, hopefully won't be long until that's sorted.

The way language should be learned In the same genre as rosetta stone, but much cheaper. Language should be learned with little or no translation, which is the way this app is set up. I'm trying to find similar in portuguese (without english translations) too, but haven't been successful. The app is easy to navigate and it keeps track of your progress.

No proofreading before publishing This app is filled with typographical errors you have to enter without correction in order to get a correct score. It's also hypersensitive to the letters typed without accounting for the need to use alt and shift on the keyboard during the writing lessons making a perfect score impossible in sentences that use ç, é, and à. So long as you're aware this program will teach you improper punctuation, grammar and conjunctions and fault you for corrections, it's okay.

Good over all I love the app and feel like I'm retaining the language so far! The only problem I have is the male speaker. He messes up often and he pauses too much when he speaks full sentences. I'd still recommend it!

Tha natural way of learning This app does exactly what is advertised to do, it teaches you a new language in a very natural way, so you learn by example and association of concepts. The lack of english translations is in my opinion, one of the main features of this method, since it forces you to reason and think in the new language, which is the most effective way of learning.

Great app, needs to expand I love this app. It teaches you words and how to understand someone in an organic way. Should be longer and/or have a sequel. Way better than flashcards. It is the best french language app android has to offer. To truly learn a language, I would suggest pairing this up with books, audio, and maybe a few lessons or outside help.

Vicky Good program for those with a base in french and want to increase vocab. It is not so good for those who want to learn conversational french like 'bonjour' or 'ça va?'. But there is a problem with part of lesson 11 where the audio doesn't match with what is written e.g. the audio says 'un salon' but what is written is 'une chambre'. I also recall some spelling mistakes somewhere when I was trying out the free version. Still worth the 2 bucks. Too bad it ends at lesson 30

Excellent!! You learn the same way a child learns: through associating words and phrases with visuals. Of course, the user does not learn all the ins and outs of French grammar, but the app is very effective for those who want to be able to learn enough French to communicate adequately. I would recommend the google translate app so that you can check what a few words mean if you're not completely sure.

Not quite what I expected... I was expecting a mix of French and English with some very basic explanation of the use of language etc.. but its just 6 pictures per lesson (30 lessons) with the French. Some of the photos are obvious (colours etc). Many aren't, especially with the lack of title to each lesson. I wasn't expecting the world for the price.. but I was hoping for more than what it offers, just having it in English as well would have been nice.
