This application is quite the opposite from Angry Birds or Talking Larry... :-) You will not find any screaming sounds or self repeats...

What your kid will find here, is a clear English voice for each letter displayed on the screen. The application is interactive and responds to screen touches and gestures (slide up, down, right and left) as well.

The game is designed wonderfully to be child-friendly, and doesn't feature fun at the expense of education or vice versa. You as a caring parent, must give your love ones a chance to hear clear nice voice in English.

This app is now optimized for both phones and tablets, with a special bar to adjust the size of the letter.

برنامج توصيل الدوائر للأطفال هو برنامج للمتعة والتعلم.
الفكرة من هذا البرنامج هي عرض دوائر صغيرة حول إطار الصورة المطلوب رسمها. وعند توصيل الدوائر يظهر الشكل المطلوب وينطق إسمه.

يحتوي البرنامج على أكثر من 80 صورة المليئة بالفائدة والتحدي.
والصور الموجودة في البرنامج تشمل:
حيوانات، طيور، فوكه، خضروات، نقل، رياضة، مخلوقات بحرية، ملابس ... إلخ...
باختصار كل الأشياء الشهيرة المحيطة بالطفل.

ترقم الدوائر المحيطة بالصور إما بالأرقام أو الحروف وعلى الطفل أن يضغط عليها بالترتيب كي يتم توصيلها إلى أن يكتمل الشكل العام للصورة ثم تظهر.

عند الضغط على الرموز يتم سماع صوت بالحرف أو الرقم المضغوط.
وعند الإنتهاء من الدوائر يسمع الطفل كلمة تشجيعية واسم الصورة.

يوجد لون أخضر إرشادي ليعلم الطفل بالدائرة التالية التي يجب عليه ضغطها ويمكن تعديل خصائصا من اعدادات (إظهار دائما، إظهار بعد 3 محاولات، عدم الإظهار).

كما يمكن تحديد سرعة رسم الإطار من الإعدادات (سريع، متوسط، بطيء، أو إظهار الخط الواصل بين الدوائر مباشرة بدون حركة).

ومن الأعدادات يمكن اختيار الرموز للدوائر (أرقام أو حرف)

"Kids Connect Circles" is for entertainment and learning.
The idea behind this application is to show circles that should be connected to create the border of hidden picture.
After completing connecting the circles the picture will
appear and the name will be announced.
"Kids Connect Circles" contains +80 pictures that challenge children to figure out them.
"Kids Connect Circles" teaches children letters, numbers, and names of popular things around them.

Also while the child connects circles the label of the circle is announced (either letter or number).
Guide color helps kid to know the next circle to tap. It could be disabled.
"Kids Connect Circles" provide the user with many options by clicking settings button.

HiTechnic Segway Remote (v. 1.0)

This app was made for those who would like to remotely control HiTechnic's HTWay (a Segway type robot) using their Android device. Go to http://www.hitechnic.com/blog/gyro-sensor/htway/ for building instructions. You will need a Gyro sensor and NXT-G 2.0 in order to build and program this robot.

Once you have built your robot, download and install the "text to number" block available at the bottom of this app's support site: https://sites.google.com/site/mbbackus/robotics/segway

You must also download and install the Gyro sensor block from HiTechnic: http://www.hitechnic.com/downloadnew.php?category=13



Download and then upload to your NXT a modified version of HiTechnic's program for your Segway. The modified version is call HTWayAR (HiTechnic Segway Android Remote) and can also be found at the bottom of this app's support site.

Once installed, but prior to running a program on either device, you must pair your phone with your NXT.



On your NXT:

1) From the top level menu, click the left arrow until you have selected "Bluetooth"

2) Turn bluetooth on. The NXT should display "Turning on" for a second or two. Thereafter, you should see a Bluetooth symbol in the upper left hand side of your NXT's screen.



On your Android device:

1) From your home screen click your menu button.

2) Select "Settings"

3) Select "Wireless & networks"

4) Turn on "Bluetooth"

5) Select "Bluetooth settings"

6) You phone should discover your NXT. If not, prompt it to do so by clicking "Scan for devices" (make sure your NXT is on).

7) Click on the entry that corresponds to your NXT and pair with it.

8) If you've done everything correctly, "Paired but not connected" should appear below your NXT's entry.



Next, start the program on your NXT. HiTechnic's explanation of how their program runs is better than any I could provide:



"When you run the program, the first thing it will do is let you select the wheel size that you are using. There are three options: Small (NXT 2.0), Medium (NXT 1.0), and Large (RCX). Use the arrow keys to choose and the Orange Enter button to select.

The robot will now need to get an initial gyro offset. You can think of this as a Gyro Sensor calibration. In order to get a good gyro offset, the robot will need to be copletely still. If you hold the robot in your hand it will wait until you you put the robot down, and it is not moving, before it will get the gyro offset and go on. HTWay will now start beeping indicating that you have five seconds to get the robot vertical and as balanced as possible. At the end of the long beep, let go." -HiTechnic



Once your robot is balancing, open this app and connect to your NXT. Once connected, you should be able to control your Segway simply by tilting your phone.

Explore world of Lissajous Curves. Edit parameters or change them by sliding horizontally on touchscreen. You change one parameter at a time. Tap bottom of the screen to change active parameter (shown in red). Select "Autocycle" from menu to start animation (phase shift change). Available options include also change of color (green, red, blue, white). Curves are generated as follows:

X = amplitudeX*sin(f1*dT+fi)
Y = amplitudeY*sin(f2*dT)

Try some sample nice parameters:
