The Open Elm Project is an Isle of Man based public crowdsourcing project to enable the public to contribute valuable data on the location an health of the Island's elm trees.

The Isle of Man is one of the few places in the UK to have a healthy elm population and which has managed control the spread of Dutch Elm Disease.

However, we need your help so we can keep it that way.

With this app you can submit reports straight from your phone while you're out and about. You can also see which trees have already been recorded via the Report Map, and learn how to identify and spot elm trees.

The Observer is an application for smart phones that allows you to quickly and efficiently report wild plant occurrences. This application makes it easy for you to report the species name, date, and location of over 10,000 California native and non-native plant taxa. You can also add a photograph to a report, and share it with others later to confirm identification. Your reports are transmitted wirelessly to the Calflora database, where you can edit them and see them on a map.
