PLEASE, READ CAREFULLY!!!

Droideley is an unofficial Mendeley (http://www.mendeley.com) Android client. It is capable of synchronizing with your Mendeley library and of downloading the stored documents. It also provides a filtering options (folder, author, tag) and it can be used for searching in the global Mendeley database or for browsing Mendeley Groups.

Please, be aware that this development release can still contain bugs but let me assure you, that it CAN NOT harm your Mendeley data.

I would like to assure you that the development is in progress and any suggestions or bug reports from you side will be highly appreciated.

- Synchronizing your whole Mendeley library with your android device
- Ability to download files attached to the documents
- Browse the library through folders
- Filter documents by author or tag
- Quick keyword search in the presented lists (document titles, authors, tags etc.)
- Share documents through all the sharing options provided by your device
- Browse groups and their documents
- Download files associated with documents within groups
- Search the global Mendeley Web database for new papers (voice search option included)

DEVELOPER'S NOTE: Currently, you can experience some problems with the Mendeley authentication phase during the first start of the app. The problem is probably on the side of the Mendeley authentication provider. I was assured that the Mendeley team knows about this issue and that they are looking into it. For the latest news, follow @Droideley on twitter.

Finally, if droideley is not working for you or you would like to try something else, I recommend Scholarley (another Mendeley Android client).

Great Mendeley beta app! There is room for improvement, but works excellent as a beta app. After installation, I had problems login in. However, after restarting my Tablet and waiting for a couple hours it worked. Clearly it is an issue with the Mendeley API, which will resolved in a near future.

Login Errors Used to use this on my Droid X a while back and remembered it was pretty nice. However, I recently tried to use it on my new Nexus 7... Threw an error when logging in. Not sure if it's the app's fault, Mendeley's, or mine on the new tablet, but regardless... doesn't work.

Lacking annotation tools The best Mendeley app available, but it lacks annotation tools. So, no adding comments or highlighting texts with Droideley! That is what makes Mendeley so useful to me and lacking these annotation tools makes this app close to useless. Developers: please add the functions of adding (searchable) comments and highlight text that sync, then I'll definitely give Droideley 5 stars!

Excellent This app is superior to Scholarley. It is by far the best Mendeley app for Android. I don't understand the low average rating. The 1 star reviews must be for older versions because this app works flawlessly for me. Bravo!

Works for me I am able to log in and synchronize the library including all the pdf files, which is exactly what I wanted. I have a Galaxy Nexus with ICS 4.1.

good start - needs work Having my library with me on my tablet is simply great. This beta version fulfils this basic requirement, but there is plenty that can obviously still be done. From my point of view the following would turn this from a good start to a great tool: -1-> significantly speed up sync/download all library pdf's (and no, this isn't a network bandwidth issue...) -2-> ability to sync annotated pdfs back to the mendeley server (i.e. notes made on tablet would sync): at the moment, you have to make a local copy of the pdf if you want to -3-> have some way of seeing the simple, but nice, things from the desktop version: order by date added, recently added, and own publications

Works great! Able to log in. Syncs all documents but progress window disappears if the screen is touched or times out. Better interface than similar programs

Would not open on Tab 10.1 Latest version of Droideley would not even open on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. A previous version would open but then crash when trying to sync. Please please please support tablets more thoroughly!

oapi I usually can't get this app to start. It reports a mendelay OAPI error. This may well be as much Mendeley's fault as this app, but still makes the app un-usable 99% of the time.
