Biblical Hebrew Vocabulary (v. 1.06) Разработано Sand Creek Software |
The Biblical Hebrew Vocabulary App is designed to help students study and review the 600 most frequent words in the Hebrew Bible. The top 600 words are divided into sets of 25 which can be mixed and matched to create a single list. Once a list is created, students click through the words individually, reveal the English translation, and move to the next word. If they incorrectly identify the Hebrew word, students can choose to send the word to a sub-list for further review.
In addition to the top 600 words in the Hebrew Bible, lesson lists are available that correspond with Thomas O. Lambdin's Introduction to Biblical Hebrew textbook.
The Biblical Hebrew Vocabulary app was designed by Geri Clements, a Biblical Hebrew Instructor at Brigham Young University and a M.S. student in Instructional Psychology & Technology, as a way for her students to always have their vocabulary lists with them no matter where they go. Waiting in lines and waiting for friends can now be leveraged into Biblical Hebrew study time! Just think of the possibilities...

[2013-10-17] A Google User: Great app I love studying hebrew now! |

[2013-09-28] A Google User: Nicely done. Great for reviewing my vocab. |
[2013-09-15] A Google User: Responded to my email promptly and upgraded the software . GREAT! I needed larger font to be able to use the app on my nook HD+ and the developer responded quickly to my email. A fix was created for the app and the developer even emailed me to alert me that the fix had been created. Now using a font enlargement app to increase the android system font size, I can use this great app to study the vocabulary from the textbook without having to hold both the text and a magnifier up close enough for me to see it. How wonderful that the developer responded to the needs of one person and made a change that will probably benefit others! |

[2013-09-15] A Google User: Wish list The larger hebrew & english words are good. Now we need the pronunciation of the Hebrew. Thanks. |
[2013-08-16] A Google User: found a few mistakes but overall a good app if you just need to learn to sight read without knowing the phonetics |
[2013-07-24] A Google User: Great! No transilteration or sound, but what it does is perfect. |
[2013-04-06] A Google User: Help with pronunciation Please I beg you to add in the phonetic pronunciation of the word!! Or maybe even audio pronunciation of the word!! |
[2013-01-19] A Google User: Sufficient Great app to refresh/learn your Hebrew vocab. It is for those who can sound Hebrew words. If you can't read Hebrew, then spend a little time on the internet to learn the consonants, vowels, & their sounds. The sounds are like the English alphabet except for the gutturals. After you get over the letters looking different, it's cake. The app does need a "previous" button or, & preferably, a swipable interface. This would meet the need for a "previous" button & clean up screen clutter. |

[2012-12-19] A Google User: Great Works great. |
[2012-12-17] A Google User: Love it |
[2012-09-27] A Google User: Love it! This app has been really helpful in building my vocabulary. I like the fact that the words appear in random order. The only thing I would suggest is to add a "previous word" button so that users can navigate backwards as well. I find that I touch "next word" by accident sometimes and the only way to go back is to start all over, which is frustrating when you are doing a 100 word flash card marathon and you are halfway through. |

[2012-05-31] A Google User: Great app for learning Really great way to learn words quickly. Only problem is some words are missing Hebrew vowels. Please review and add vowels where missing. Also, why not have a prev-word button next to the next-word button. And I agree that transliteration would expand the reach of this app to those that do not yet know their aleph-bet. |
