Wi-Fi Ruler (a WiFi Manager) (v. 1.7.8) Разработано Dave McKellar |
A Wi-Fi manager that can do all the regular stuff plus:
* Automatically connect to open access points as you walk by
* Skip "open" access points that are actually paywalls
* You can set connect priorities
* Differentiate between multiple access points all called "linksys" or "dlink", etc
* When connected will automatically check your connection (or say OK to click wall if that rule is set)
* Option to exit with or without Wi-Fi enabled
* Plays nice with access points you already have setup
Note: the option "Make Android Wi-Fi entry for APs we don't connect to" is enabled yet. Please just ignore that for now.

[2012-10-18] A Google User: Great app! |
[2012-10-11] A Google User: Won't do what is says it will Highly recommended... hmmm I have 3 wifi networks near my office and I cannot not get the app to forget them. 2 star is all I can afford here |
[2012-10-10] A Google User: Good idea but not work |
[2012-09-13] A Google User: Won't ignore networks I was hoping to be able to mark certain open networks as never to be used, but it still connects to them. |
[2012-08-28] A Google User: Allows blocked connections Good concept, but simply does not work, still connects to.paywall networks |
[2012-08-03] A Google User: SAMSUNG Tab 2 10.1 Until something shows up on my screen.....I cant do this app justice with anything more than 1 star. And because I got little more than a black screen....I'd give it 1/2 a star if I could. So unsuited to the Tab 2. |
[2012-07-12] A Google User: I don't want to connect to paywall Still connects to networks I have labelled paywall. I need them to be ignored. |
[2012-06-09] A Google User: On galaxy s ii Does NOT work on galaxy s II I9100G. Not recommended at all. |
[2012-05-23] A Google User: Awesome Awesome application actually fixed my galaxy S2 Wi-Fi in just a couple of minutes unreal. (Make sure you guys use the right connection option (home, ect) Good job |
[2012-05-05] A Google User: Does what it's supposed to do. |
[2012-04-28] A Google User: Functionality regression. Forgets settings. Used to use this all the time. Now uninstalling because it always fails to save settings and loses passwords, interfering with accessing my home and work networks. bye. |
[2012-04-09] A Google User: Good |
[2012-04-09] A Google User: Useful sometimes. Good concept, but terrible interface. The author needs a graphic designer ASAP. |
[2012-03-24] A Google User: Not helpful Not sure what the point is too be able too identify a point as closed if it wants a password to save it. I just want to exclude points that I don't use. Does any app do this? |
[2012-03-11] A Google User: Awesome now its Wifi |
[2012-03-02] A Google User: Lifesaver Great app, connects to any wifi with no problem |
[2012-02-28] A Google User: Does not ignore limited connections I bought this in the hope that it would prevent my phone from connecting to the plethora of click-walled or pay-walled connections near me when my network was available. It doesn't. Even when it identifies that the connection is limited, and that a remembered non-limited network is available, it doesn't switch connections. |
[2012-02-19] A Google User: Need strength filter! Good app. 5 stars when it is able to switch to the strongest AP |
[2012-02-06] A Google User: Won't allow priorities What I REALLY wanted was an app that would allow me to set a priority connection, so that even if a different connection was detected, it would stay on the one I specified. |
[2012-01-31] A Google User: Rubish Does not remember the forget instruction. Keeps going back to forsaken BTOpenzone! |
[2012-01-16] A Google User: always chooses pay network over home network - why It's a nice concept, except that it works poorly. no matter how many times I tell it that BTFON is a pay network and to not connect to it (both the specific access point and in general), it ignores the setting and does it anyway. So when I'm at home, instead of using my home wifi for free, it tries to connect to the pay network . It also adds that network to the general wifi connection, so exiting out of this application will still leave it trying to connect to BT's paid network over my home one. |
[2012-01-07] A Google User: Works on Evo & Thunderbolt. The best wifi manager. Automatically connects me to all my wifi spots. |
[2012-01-04] A Google User: Good app but big battery hog so had to uninstall Good app but big battery hog so had to uninstall |
[2011-11-13] A Google User: Like this a lot, but sometimes it forgets aps all at once. Not deleting cache or data either.. |
[2011-11-08] A Google User: Login screens Does this allow you to skip landing page login screens by saving the input data first? If it does then I'd give it five stars. |
[2011-10-27] A Google User: Just what I needed This is the best app for reconnecting to your regular or home wifi. Always picks it up quickly without having to manually scan for it. Others don't. |
[2011-09-19] A Google User: Good! Good working on my Samsung Galaxy S2.Thanks! |
[2011-08-15] A Google User: Good app, but an infuriating habit of logging onto subscription WiFi that I don't subscribe to. |
[2011-06-11] A Google User: Does exactly what it says on the tin ! No problems & easy to use....works fine Xperia |

[2011-05-25] A Google User: Sadly it does not work :( I have no clue why it keeps freezing my wifi card and requires a reboot to use it again. Thanks for making it free. |

[2011-03-31] A Google User: Lets you connect to remembered networks automatically in a prioritized order. Great for places that have the same network names around. |

[2010-12-27] A Google User: Does not connect, ever. No option to start on boot. Requires wifi to always be on. Would be useful IF it used cell towers for auto on like wapdroid |

[2010-11-14] A Google User: It defaults to dead and paywall connections rather than the home open connection. This is despite being sat next to the router. |
