Allows you to enter a list of VIP numbers (manually or via
contacts) that are allowed to ring through even when your ringer is off. Silence your phone at bedtime, but still get calls, texts, or MMS messages from your kids. Silence it in a meeting, but still get calls, texts, or MMS messages from spouse, kids, or the boss. Click on the VIP to toggle on/off. Long press the VIP to delete.
NOTE for users of apps like GO PRO and others that interact with SMS messages: Some of these applications block other apps from acting on SMS messages. For this reason, VIP Alert would not receive the SMS, and you would not be alerted. As of version 2.0.3, if VIP Alert is installed earlier than the other apps, it should be able to coexist with these apps. You may need to uninstall the other app and reinstall it.

[2012-10-06] A Google User: Freezes HTC incredible The program works great most of the time, but occasionally will freeze the phone when taking a VIP call and the phone is on silent. Only way to restart is to pull the battery.(HTC incredible, froyo 2.2 o/s) |

[2012-09-18] A Google User: Get only those important calls when you sleep The only thing I don't like is that I can't set call and text settings independently. If call noise and text noise are on, both are on for all enabled VIP's, so I can't say that some VIP's can get through when calling and texting but other VIP's can get through only when calling. |

[2012-06-23] A Google User: SMS vip I'm so unhappy with the change I liked being able to be announced when I received a text from a VIP I had on the list active n phone on silent .. please fix all ppl have to do to not hear a double ring when phone on normal is disable VIP its not that hard ppl r just lazy!!! |
