Using this app, you can select an English phrase and view its translation and how to pronounce it in the foreign language.
This app was developed as an entry to the CIO/G6 "Apps for the Army" competition, and is based on the modules publicly available online from the U.S. Defense Language Institute.

[2012-02-01] Dawn: Good app Not exact but good enough. I use it to refresh my memory. You is translated as "anh" here, however "anh" is used when you're speaking to a male who is older than you, or possibly older than you. The trickiest part, IMO, is knowing the right term to use to address the person you're speaking to. Recorded voice is of male with distinct Northern accent. Northerner words are used; Vang instead of Da for Yes. No big deal. Phrases are read once then repeated at much slower work by word. Many thanks to dev. |
