Valence (v. 1.4) Разработано David Simmons |
Valence turns your Android phone or tablet into a remote keyboard and mouse for any computer running a VNC server.
Note: I rely on your feedback about bugs and issues you may encounter with Valence. Please drop me an email if you have any problems, and let me know which VNC server software you are using. Mentioning problems in reviews is not sufficient, since I can't respond or ask more questions about the problem.
The inspiration for Valence was a need to control a home theater PC from the couch, but it can be useful in any situation where a computer doesn't have a keyboard and mouse handy. Your computer must be reachable over the network from your Android device, and be running a VNC server.
Valence now supports right-clicking (by tapping with two fingers at the same time) and scrolling (by swiping two fingers up and down).
For more information about using Valence and configuring a VNC server on your computer, follow the website link below or view the online help (Menu->Help).

[2012-10-23] Mauricio: Gs2 Good stuff |
[2012-10-19] Béla: Great so far! Ideas for what else to add: -full screen mode, without titlebar on top or buttons at the bottom -scroll by swiping the side of the screen -option to remove text from screen and present a completely blank screen, so my AMOLED don't age. |
[2012-10-15] Sam: Exceellent app! Just what i needed for use on out large screen monitor at work. Would love touchpad support for the ASUS TF300 (All transformer range have touchpad). server is tightVNC |
[2012-10-14] heygus: Love it Probably one of the most used apps on my phone |
[2012-10-06] plx: remote key n mouse Remote key n mouse VNC |
[2012-09-28] aj: The best Its really cool.. the benifit comes out when you are relaxing on the bed in your room and your friend out there on your desktop or laptop is searching for a file on it and you are too lazy to get up and show him. You start valence and bingo.... Awesome app keep up the good work. |
[2012-09-14] David: It simply works Do one thing, and do it well. This app does that. |
[2012-08-28] james: The best remote out Finally an app that is strictly mouse and keyboard! No 'server' app needed, connects thru vnc like a charm on all my linux boxes. This is the only app that rivals 'HippoRemote' on iOS, no need to use my iPod touch to control my media center anymore! Thank you so much! Ps. It was hard to find this app, tried atleast 5 others before finding what I needed. |
[2012-08-06] Sean: Absolutely top notch OS-independent? Check. No proprietary server install like other KB/Mouse apps? Check. Native keyboard support? Check! Honestly the use of VNC protocol makes this king. Now its just little things that will make this program top of the heap. |
[2012-07-19] Alberto: Amazing Excellent remote controller for my Mac :-) |
[2012-07-09] RPM: Simply awesome idea. Please add left and right buttons on bottom... then you can drag windows by holding left button and dragging. |
[2012-05-21] Apollon K: Excellent media PC remote Volume rocker keys work, overall responsiveness excellent even w/ full HD. Gave up the infrared remote, feels very restrictive now ... |
[2012-05-17] Philip: Works great to control my HTPC! |
[2012-05-06] Sam: Great app After looking through many apps, this is the best one by far, as I only need a touchpad, not my screen. Also, it works on linux, which is great. |
[2012-04-29] Louis: Stretch vs. Zoom On a honeycomb tablet you have the choice of displaying the app in Stretch or Zoom mode. In Stretch (default) mode the app looks high res but the mouse movement is fast & jerky. In Zoom mode the app looks low res but the mouse works much smoother but also slower. If you're using this on a tablet try both to see which feels better for you. |
[2012-03-27] sfelt: Works well Except when entering server name instead of IP. |
[2012-03-18] Bops: Great piece of work Thanks. works well with Tight VNC server. HTC Desire S |
[2012-02-24] Alek: it works I used TightVNC (on windows7), it works great! |
[2012-02-10] Tim: Cool This is great; I can control PowerPoint on my mac. (Lion) |
[2012-02-07] Patrick: Excellent app!!! No need to dowload a server to the computer you are trying to control, unlike other apps |
[2012-01-30] ambarish: The best VNC based touchpad and keyboard Works great with Mac and Ubuntu, out of the box! No server install needed. |
[2012-01-06] Daniel: Open source 5 stars for that! :-) |
[2011-12-16] Matthew: Seriously Awesome App Ever want to use your phone to control your media PC? There has been a few options out like gmote, but this app works great and uses the vnc protocol. |
[2011-12-16] Mubashir: Excellent app Ignore the comment from a previous reviewer talking about resolution limit. I have tested the app with 1920x1080 resolution without a problem. |
[2011-10-27] James: Finally I needed an Android equivalent of hippo remote, and this gives me exactly the functionality I need. Very functional on Linux, too. |
[2011-09-06] will-i-am: You can only move the cursor over part of the screen. Looks like a resolution limit of 1024x768. Don't bother if your PC res is over that. Lame. |
[2011-08-18] Jonathan: Great app. Mouse is very responsive. Really need a right click function though. Maybee through multitouch gesture. |
[2011-08-14] Joel: Amazing app Surprised at how responsive the mouse movement is. I don't notice any lag at all. I would like to see a scroll function but for a free app, it rocks! |
[2011-08-07] Josh: Good Could use a right click function. And better double click execution. |
