SafeText is the SMS protection application. For the contacts and unnamed phone numbers that you select, it intercepts all incoming and outgoing text messages and encrypts them. No one except for yourself can read them. And only you can open them in SafeText, using your password.

The messages still do appear in your phone's default messaging application, however, they are encrypted. You will receive incoming message notifications as normal.

SafeText is NOT a messaging application. It does not replace the software that comes with your phone and is used to send and receive text messages. Rather, it complements it with a specific, focused privacy feature.

SafeText is NOT a comprehensive security solution. It targets a very specific and extremely popular means of communication, namely, the text messages, aiming at providing better privacy for a phone user.
