Torque Pro (OBD 2 & Car) (v. 1.6.74) Разработано Ian Hawkins |
See what your car is doing in realtime, get OBD fault codes, car performance, sensor data and more!
Torque is a vehicle / car performance / diagnostics tool and scanner that uses an OBD II Bluetooth adapter to connect to your OBD2 engine management / ECU
Layout your own dashboard with the widgets / gauges you want!
It can use the GPS to provide tracker logs with OBD engine logging so you can see what you were doing at any point in time
It can also show and reset a DTC / CEL / fault code like a scantool. Helps you fix your car and helps keep repair costs down!
Torque also features:
* Dyno / Dynomometer and Horsepower/HP & Torque
* Can read Transmission Temperatures (vehicle dependant)
* 0-60 speed timings - more accurate than just using plain old GPS - see how fast your car is (or truck )
* CO2 emissions readout
* Customisable dashboard & profiles
* Video your journey using the Track Recorder plugin with onscreen OBDII data overlay - a black box for your car/truck!
* Automatically send GPS tagged tweets directly to twitter (for example if you are going on a road trip)
* Massive fault code database for lookup of fault codes from different manufacturers
* Theme support (choose from different themes to change the look of your dashboard)
* Send logging information to web or email CSV/KML for analysis via excel / openoffice reader
* Heads up display / HUD mode for night time driving
* Compass (GPS Based) that won't suffer magnetic interference
* GPS Speedometer/Tracking and realtime web upload capability - see what you were doing and your engine, at a point in time
* Turbo boost feature for vehicles that support MAP and MAF sensors (VW & Golf / Audi / Seat etc supported)
* Alarms and warnings (for example if your coolant temperature goes over 120C whilst driving) with voice/speech overlay
* Car dock support
* Graph data
* MPG
* Able to share screenshots to Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Email, etc
* AIDL API for third party apps, A simple Telnet interface for developers to talk to the adapter, and an OBD scanner.
* Works on tablet devices like the Motorola Xoom, Dell Streak, Samsung Galaxy Tab and Nook
Works on any vehicle that uses the OBD 2 standard (most vehicles built after 2000, but can work for vehicles as far back as 1996) if in doubt check with your manufacturer first or look for 'OBD2' on written on a big white label in your engine bay
Works on vehicles made by Ford, VW, GM/Vauxhall/Opel, Chrysler, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Audi, Jaguar, Citroen, Peugoet, Skoda, Kia, Mazda, Lexus, Subaru, Renault, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Honda, Hyundai, BMW, Toyota, Seat, Dodge, Jeep, Pontiac and many more vehicle makes, European, US, Far East, etc. Some vehicle ECUs may support more/less features than others
The app needs a Bluetooth OBD2 adapter to work. The adapter is small and plugs into the diagnostics socket on the car which gives your phone access. You can find a list of adapters on: http://torque-bhp.com/wiki/Bluetooth_Adapters (Garmin EcoRoute HD adapters not supported)
If you buy one of the cheap china OBD2 ELM327 bluetooth adapters from ebay / amazon, then make sure you have a good returns policy with the seller
Some of the best reliable OBD2 / OBD adapters are the Scantool.net adapter, the OBDKey, and PLX Devices, OBDLink, Bluetooth, ELM327 and other adapters are supported - search on google for them
More features added every release - there are forums at http://torque-bhp.com/forums/ - if you want something added then let me know and I'll try to add it if it is possible! Vehicle ECUs vary in the amount of sensors supported
*PLEASE NOTE* Any reports of hanging or reboots after quitting the app is due to a bug in HTC devices and Galaxy Tab,this can be triggered by using the Pandora/Vlingo/Other BT apps. Disabling Pandoras new bluetooth settings fixes the problem, but HTC/Samsung need to release a fix.Please contact their support and request a fix,Thanks!

[2013-07-11] A Google User: Good app, but the car database woukd be great to have! It is a good question where I could get all the car parameters for this application... Instead, if we could share the data that some people already entered it would be much better. If we could find everything by the name, brand, year, make, then the setup would be unbeatable. |
[2013-07-11] A Google User: Excellent! Very powerful tool for the at home mechanic. I am having O2/Cat trouble.This ap really helps to narrow things down...and its fun to use! |
[2013-07-11] A Google User: Best app of its kind anywhere! Simply put torque is an amazing app! This $5 dollar app does the work of $1000+ setups, and does it well. If you want an inexpensive track recording setup with telemetry data, Torque is for you. If you want an inexpensive multi gauge digital set up, Torque is for you. if you're looking for an inexpensive ODBII code reader with advanced features, Torque is for you. Because Torque is all these things and more! 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T - Samsung Galaxy Note II 2004 Dodge SRT-4 - HP Touchpad |
[2013-07-10] A Google User: Monitor your car Clear codes, watch RPM, track MPGs, log trip data, etc. Everything your car sees/knows you too can see with this app. Very customizable as well |
[2013-07-09] A Google User: Good capability which leans toward the future. For the price this tool is awesome. Works with the $16 adapter on eBay that has the torque odb check emblem on it. My only wish would be to be able to resize the real time data information. More specifically the raw data feed. As of now I have to bring up 7 different bubbles to to view all of the raw data, would be nice to have it adjustable up to the full view of my 10" tablet, without adding 7 windows with different views. - maybe a future update? Other wise best bang for the buck when it comes to diagnostic code and troubleshooting capability. |
[2013-07-09] A Google User: Amazing app! Simple to use! A ton of features and definitely worth the money. |
[2013-07-09] A Google User: Fantastic app This is a wicked app works fine on my ford mondeo 2.0 Duratec no faults as of yet and real time data and logging etc is all good BEST £2.95 I EVER SPENT keep up the good work |

[2013-07-07] A Google User: Great app. Nexus 7 and hhobd scanner. Easy setup, dashboard dials work well, yet to try fault codes. |
[2013-07-06] A Google User: Works great on HTC Sensation Connected no problems to my car (53 plate skoda fabia) got good readings and link to ECU. I need to sit and "play" with it first, to see what the app can really do, but first impressions are great. The trip recorder worked very well !!! |
[2013-07-06] A Google User: Question. Is there any way to control the refresh rate on the PIDS used by the vehicle??? |
[2013-07-05] A Google User: Abs and srs It does not support the protocol for abs and srs which is what a lot of shops need any idiot can check there CEL but can check the ABS AND SRS RESTRAINT |
[2013-07-05] A Google User: Very good app It's an excellent fun app for me. However, i've done some long recordings with track recorder (around 20 mins) and in the midle of the clip it lost some car data. Fix this please and it will become excellent allround. Thanx |
[2013-07-04] A Google User: Buy the kiwi. Don't get hosed, buy the kiwi that torque recommends. I've used this app on 3 devices without any problems whatsoever! Note 2, Tab 2, Xperia. Definitely a must install each time I reset! |

[2013-07-03] A Google User: Works great Audi s 4 |
[2013-07-02] A Google User: Great app. Works with everything I have hooked it up to. I have used it with over 30 different vehicles... Read them all. I think that problems people are having has more to do with type of Bluetooth adapter they are using. I bought a middle of the road on for $35 and have had no problems. |
[2013-07-01] A Google User: Pretty fun App design seems a bit dated somehow. I'm not sure it follows all of Google's design principle guidelines. I like how it's customizable, but it seems like it could be simpler somehow. Otherwise, my cheap Amazon adapter works pretty well for the most part even in my nightly Cyanogen mod build. |
[2013-07-01] A Google User: Amazing! After setting it up I works great and of the stuff you can find out :D |
[2013-07-01] A Google User: Love it Brilliant app works on my focus!! The best! |

[2013-06-30] A Google User: amazing plug and play for my Samsung galaxy note. has all the Ford PIDs for download. Also tried it on a late model kia and picked up all sensor readings and codes. I used an obdii bluetooth reader calked HHOBD reader for $19. you can find these readers for $16 with free shipping on ebay. Amazing data log solution for under $30. |

[2013-06-28] A Google User: Very happy with this app The best improvement that could be made to this would be to mske mspping available offline. |

[2013-06-27] A Google User: Torque with android and bluetooth device Works better thanhe more expensive OBDII readers/scanners. |
[2013-06-27] A Google User: Extremely useful app! I use this app for lots of monitoring of my car and its been beyond helpful in getting the information I needed. Used with a Bluetooth OBD II scanner from eBay that cost less than $10. Gives fault code info and other info that was needed when I upgraded to stage 2 to ensure everything was working ok. Also use it to monitor and get the best MPG which has changed my driving technique to save gas! |
[2013-06-27] A Google User: Awesome |
[2013-06-27] A Google User: Saves you a fortune Got ripped off by main dealer so bought this product which saved me having to go back. For a total of £11 spent I know that this brilliant app is going to save me and others more in the future. Well done Mr Hawkins. |
[2013-06-27] A Google User: Good |
[2013-06-27] A Google User: Works perfect Until I am able to afford a modis this will suit me just fine, unless you can figure out a way to read spark patterns then I wouldn't need to buy one. |
[2013-06-27] A Google User: Customer Support is Nonexistant After trying to reach the developer through email more than once with an issue with the Track Recorder he never replied. I expected a bit more from him. Update - It's been many many days and still no reply from the developer via e-mail. Update 2 - Have sent yet another e-mail. |
[2013-06-27] A Google User: Just buy it. It's as cool as it looks. |
[2013-06-27] A Google User: super labi skanee visu ko liek priekshaa :-) |
[2013-06-26] A Google User: Does what it says on the tin. B-) Very easy to use and very customisable. |
[2013-06-26] A Google User: Runs great! Using it with a scantool bt adapter in my 2013 Subaru STI, and until I get gauges, this works great. Afterwards, I'll mainly use it for accurate mpg calculations & some trip route logging (Cobb AP will be used for data logging), but as an interim solution, this is darn near ideal. |
[2013-06-26] A Google User: Toyota camry Won't work on my 07 camry Works fine on my 00 mustang and 02 Rsx |
[2013-06-26] A Google User: Best This app could be so much better. Could be a great generic scan tool for real tech's. I would pay much more for this if it would increase developers resources and help. For now this is the best android scan tool. |
[2013-06-26] A Google User: Live it Awesome application. |
[2013-06-26] A Google User: Best app available Very useful tool if you tend to be the do it yourself type of person. |

[2013-06-26] A Google User: Easy, cheap, great tool Love the simplicity of the app. You can buy all you need for this app for very little money. Got my Bluetooth adapter for $20. You can find adapters cheaper but no apps that come close to this! |

[2013-06-26] A Google User: Sweet app, saves a lot of data and car Saves me money and does everything it says. Sweet app that displays everthing abd more, clears codes from rebuilds and fixes. Keep up the great work and saving me money. |
[2013-06-26] A Google User: Fan-frickin-tastic! Love this app! Works just like it's supposed to. Works on every car I've hooked it up to |
[2013-06-26] A Google User: It's okay Seems much slower than the OBD Link app. For my taste, the UI is way over designed. Has cool HP and 1/4 mile time,but I think for a tech OBD Link App is much better and it's a free app! |
[2013-06-26] A Google User: Best app for a car lover ever Well worth the money. |
[2013-06-26] A Google User: Good Good |
[2013-06-26] A Google User: Must buy for DIY mechanic This app paired with a $15 eBay obd2 adapter has saved me literally hundreds, maybe thousands of dollars. I use it for my vehicles and my families. |

[2013-06-26] A Google User: awesome saved me stress and money |

[2013-06-26] A Google User: Fantastic The best car app available for both monitoring and diagnostics. Even great on the campervan I rented! |
[2013-06-26] A Google User: Ok so far. Needs to be able to read ABS codes too! |
[2013-06-26] A Google User: best app ever got it to work with my wireless ODB II now i can diagnose my car and other cars quickly a must have for DIYers |
[2013-06-26] A Google User: Awesome app This is the best app on Android hands down! |
[2013-06-25] A Google User: HTC one s Works great, but how to switch km to mph? And will we ever be able to reed codes for airbags? Than you great app! |
[2013-06-24] A Google User: Awesome Use it to check dtcs and readiness codes before sending cars for etest |
[2013-06-24] A Google User: Worked first time Super easy to connect and set up. The UI is also easy once you've played a little. Fast speed is worthwhile to prevent readout lag, but results in the occasional data error. It'd be great if you have downloadable car profiles to ensure we set them up correctly. Another good thing could be alarms that trigger when a certain parameter gets above or below "x" value. All in all, great app for the price. |
[2013-06-24] A Google User: Great app, better developer. This app has everything. If you own a car, you need this app. |
[2013-06-24] A Google User: Awesome Best app out for any phone. Most auto parts stores will check out your CEL for free.... but your can't always get to one in time. ... This app saved me more than once. .. 20 bucks is all I spent for this app and a bluetooth obd scanner. .. Worth every penny |
[2013-06-24] A Google User: Nifty big tool. Has every feature we could possibly want from OBDII with Bluetooth. My only concern is the constant pop-ups if you don't have Bluetooth connected. Also, would be neat to 'save passcode' from pass code protected Bluetooth adapters. Would also like to see preconfigured downloadable car setups (not supplied by community, supplied specifically from someone who takes time to research). |
[2013-06-23] A Google User: Very useful Well worth the money |
[2013-06-23] A Google User: Still great after 2 years of use! I got this app & a cheap adapter. So far no prob with the adapter & together they saved me over $300! EVO LTE |
[2013-06-23] A Google User: Very good Needs a direct link to the wiki from the app main screen. Took me forever to find it. I am saving 12 dollars a week in gas. Have not yet figured out if I can turn off my maintenance required light after I change my oil. It did not seem to work the first time. |
[2013-06-22] A Google User: Great Very cool |
[2013-06-22] A Google User: Good but still can improve Overall this apps able to meet expectations for general user, it can be batter if add more PIDs from various car manufacturers, improve search method on sensor(feel tired to scroll) |
[2013-06-22] A Google User: 2010 Pontiac Vibe - works great using cheap ELM327 adapter - detailed info & readouts - even works on new GM GDS2 cars (Chevy Cruze) Awesome App! |
[2013-06-22] A Google User: Incredible! This app, plus a $20 OBD adapter, give you everything you need to monitor your engine and your car's performance. I cleared a transient engine fault on my son's VW, which would have cost at least $45 at the dealer. Highly recommended for the car enthusiast. |
[2013-06-21] A Google User: Still the best Been using torque on my phones and tablets for a couple yrs now. Never had any problems and its probably one of the most useful Apps ever made. |
[2013-06-21] A Google User: So useful For 20 bucks total, bt obd2 reader and this app = car nerd dream |
[2013-06-20] A Google User: Fantastic Tested against a proper mechanics code reader and was identical results! Best app and worth every penny! |
[2013-06-20] A Google User: Samsung Note 2 Hi, Just plugins the device and it works. However, i have encountered some issues/features: 1) whenever i entered the app, it kills my wifi connection. 2) for graphing mode, it reset my X-Y axis setting when i exit the function. Other than these, app great |
[2013-06-20] A Google User: best scanner ever works easy to use!A+ |
[2013-06-19] A Google User: Best tool on the market................ Tried the lite version and was instantly hooked. Thorough in depth monitoring of many of my cars functions. I immediately bought the full version and it worked fine on my Samsung 'phone. My Samsung tablet could not connect, I tried everything. Eventually I e-mailed Ian. His response was incredibly swift, same day. He had already been working on this issue and had updated to Google Play. Quick update and voila, this great app. is now fully functional on my tab. Great app. and superb customer support. Thanks Ian. |
[2013-06-19] A Google User: Decent App Would give this app 5 stars if it had tasker integration, or a better featured alarm system. Its a great app for seeing what's going on with your engine, but the alarms lack options or even a simple tasker integration. I emailed the developer over a year, but he seemed less than interested in adding more features to this app. |
[2013-06-19] A Google User: Good app. Its good.. Slow responce but best app ive,seen so far with lots of add ons..! |
[2013-06-19] A Google User: Best Its one of the best apps out at the moment but I must say that the only way it could get any better is if you are able to do electronic parking brakes, abs and resetting some of the service lights but is the best app out at the moment |
[2013-06-19] A Google User: Best app I've had the app for about 1.5 years and 2 cars and have never had a problem. Great features and awesome value. Worth it for the fault code scanning alone! |
[2013-06-19] A Google User: Very disappointed I purchased this app in order to be able to read the fault codes on my car. However, this was not possible, no fault codes showed up in the app even though there were several on the car. I tried contacting the developer by email, but for a week I have not received an answer. Waste of money!!! |
[2013-06-19] A Google User: Perfect app for any true GearHead Device: Nexus 7 Vehicle: 2013 Fiat Abarth Scanner: Excelvan v1.5 This is a must have for any Gearhead and a great tool for anyone that wants to know what is going on inside their engine. I did research on the forum before I purchased and followed the simple direction to get everything working. The app works well and the layout is smooth. I tried the free version first which felt a little twitchy this is not an issue with the paid version. Overall it is well worth the money to have all the provided information at your finger tips. |
