Good but could use some improvements Works well, syncs new/changed files immediately if sync conditions are met. Creating custom filters is tiresome, built-in filters are not good enough. I'd like an easier way to include/exclude specific folders. A big minus is that custom filters can not be edited and at least in my case, I can not delete custom filters. Scanning the remote directory over (S)FTP is very slow if you have many small files as it tries to CD into every file for some reason instead of using the output from LS -L to tell if the files are in sync.

It's still great I've been a user for over a year and it's still working fine. I basically use it to sync files back to Dropbox that aren't already synced via Dropbox app (pictures and screenshots) and Titanium Backup (Backups). I really would like a scheduled time to sync like Titanium Backup does. I don't want it to be continuous so I set it for whenever I plug into a charger and WiFi. Only problem is that I rarely plug in cause I switch batteries when I'm low. That's why a scheduled time would be better.

It was pretty good I have used this app since it first came out (and paid $ for it). It was buggy to begin with, and that never really seemed to change. After fighting to set it up for a long time on my Epic4G It worked ok, then I got a Galaxy 3 and had to re-set up the app to sync. I continue to have issues with file creation on the remote server while trying to set up initial sync. SFTP (SSH). I have tried too many times, resetting the app, retrying and doing everything I could to make this work. The latest rev goes to a black screen then reboots my phone; not good! I am going to have to find some other application to use.

"Failed to create remote folder": infamous or not? I have a backup on a server that I want to update with recent changes from the phone. TMS won't even try to sync (either "Local to..." or "ARCHIVE to...") because the destination directory already exists. Seems like a pretty common use case. On the first sync, though, and on restore, it works pretty well.

App Does Not Work on Nexus 7 The app is synced to my Dropbox. The Dropbox data is recognized by the app, but the app indicates it cannot create a remote folder or it just indicates it failed to sync. The app is currently a big waste of money.

Good but could be better I've set mine to run when on-power and wi-fi on. I then use 'Wireless Scheduler' to turn Wi-fi on overnight when I'm charging. Works like a charm! When wi-fi comes on overnight, Media Sync kicks in and everything is backed up. But having this capability built-in would be better. EDIT: Figured how to BU entire SD card, plus set up conditions and filter to exclude media folders, etc. Not intuitive and no obvious instructions/documentation on web site.

FINALLY DOES WHAT IT SAYS This latest version seems to work now from remote to local. I wasn't as happy a couple of weeks ago when this thing failed try after try after try..even after a fresh reload of ICS..Let's hope it stays this way. This is the only reason I still haven't ranked it higher than two stars. Surprise me with more and I'll change this review for a third time. Cheers everyone!! Keep up the hard debugging efforts.

Epic Failure. It's more reliable to just copy your files manually. The app allows my phone significantly when it is NOT synching. There is no option to schedule synch, say overnight. My SD just died and this app did not make complete backups even though my last manual update was yesterday.

Excellent This works VERY well for what it claims to be. It's not a replacement for Dropbox sync - if that's your only intent, the there may be others that are better. This app is meant for power users that want fine grained control over what and when. This syncs to FTP, FTP/S, SFTP, and Dropbox. Set it and forget it. The awesome: Supports public/private key authentication via SSH! The problems: I found that something is up with syncing hidden directories (with a dot in front). The UI flashes erratically and never really uploads anything. Eventually it says, "sync failed." Will update with more findings.

Move doesn't work, but still okay app I love the concept, but MOVE and SECURE MOVE don't work. Keep getting sync to Dropbox error. This reduces the utility of the app, since I want to clean space on the internal SD card. Otherwise, archive and local work fine. Samsung GS3, running JellyWiz Rom. Please fix and I'll give 5 stars.

Better than reviews imply Wow, these reviewers are brutal. I love this app. It autosyncs my photos and videos so if I lose my phone or the SD card becomes corrupt I won't lose any precious memories. I also use it to upload all my Titanium backups. Now, I know both the Dropbox app and Titanium Backup have built in functionality to do this, but Media Sync does it from one place and with more options.

Used to work, back in the days... I finally got around to try if this software has improved, sadly, it has not. You have to basically restart the program after each configuration change for it to apply and it still manages to crash.

Get with the program developers, work on the crashes and add support for sites like BOX, Google etc. For those who can't wait for titanium media sync fixes, search for "FolderSync" on market and buy it... it supports all the popular online storage sites ;)

Doesn't work I want to connect to my Apple computer. VNC on Android and PuTTY on Windows both connect perfectly but this App just gives a failed to login message. No proper help, no instructions on the web site. Awful! Doesn't remember your account settings so if anything is wrong you have to retype everything. I would give it 0 stars if I could.

Piece of Junk I paid for this useless app on the basis that it was developed by the Titanium Backup devloper and so assumed some minor measure of quality. Boy was I wrong. frankly it just doesnt work. I have NEVER gotten it to connect to any kind of ftp server. Requests for support were never responded to. Last time I will ever give these guys money.

Constant upload backup! This is a live sync because if your phone crashes, gets lost, stolen, etc. you can get it back from your cloud or dropbox and your good to go. Good idea, serious issues This app is a good idea, but suffers from some serious flaws. First off, the UI is terrible and completely unintuitive. There is a definite lack of documentation for using this, which only compounds the bad UI design. Furthermore, the SSH key handling is broken. It won't accept keys generated by ConnectBot, which are in a format that it claims to accept. I definitely regret buying this, and wish I could return it... but it has potential if the developer puts some work into fixing it.

Might be a great app... ...but that is difficult to determine. What do the following options mean when you drag a folder: Local to ... (continuous sync) ARCHIVE to ... (continuous sync) MOVE to ... (continuous sync) SECURE MOVE to ... (continuous sync) and how do they differ from each other? Why is (continuous sync) appended to each option? Update: I found that the way to find out what these are is to select each and it will tell you. You can then back out and try the next until you've scoped out each. The first one is what 99% of users will want.

works prefectly I used auto upload to dropbox for quite a wile, but I am in the process of moving my usage from Dropbox to google drive for all my personal stuff. currently Titanium media sync doesn't have drive suport yet. but for now using SSH at home and syncing with a folder in my Google Drive seems to be working fine for me. pretty solid app hasn't failed on my yet, adding Google Drive support would make this app pretty much perfect.

Disappointing Based on the description and my experience with TiBu, I expected this to be a function sync-via-FTP solution, but the word 'sync' is misleading. This doesn't sync, it pushes. Choose a source folder on your device, choose a target folder on FTP, watch device delete everything in the FTP folder, re-upload it all, then only upload from the device. If there's a way to make this actually 'sync' between two folders, it's hidden well. I hope the developer can resolve this, or at least make an accurate description. 'Titanium Media Folder Overwrite' maybe?

Very promising Took a few minutes to work out how to apply filters. Just synchronized my 2 gig dropbox ebook and video folder - t just worked, no complaints. I disconnected a number of times dyring my comkute abd it wasnt phased. Would like to see encryption added but if titanium backup is anything to go by then I can only see this app getting better and better. A lot of thought has gone into this app.
