Titanium Media Sync (v. 2.4.4.1) Разработано Titanium Track |
This unique app allows you to sync a set of folders from your Android device to the cloud and back. It currently supports the Dropbox storage service, as well as your own FTP, SFTP, FTPS servers. The official Dropbox app is *not* needed.
Innovative "setup & forget" sync engine with these features:
• Battery friendly.
• Works on ALL Android devices.
• Will NOT slow down your device when no data changes.
• Will backup your new/modified files (eg: photos, videos) in the background, as soon as possible.
• Adapts to ever-changing connectivity and power conditions.
• Powerful filtering features (by file type, size, etc).
Supports 2 different sync modes (both are one-way):
• Continuous sync from Local to Remote.
• One-shot sync from Remote to Local.
Compatible with all Android versions (1.5 and up).
Limitations:
• Dropbox restricts uploads to 300MB per file: http://www.dropbox.com/help/5

[2013-01-04] A Google User: Fails to sync with dropbox Syncs always fail to drop box even after successful connection every time so doesn't backup?!?! |
[2013-01-04] A Google User: Buy it Works great |
[2013-01-03] A Google User: Avoid Like the Plague Stay away from this app unless you want to donate to an unusable app and have no support from the developers. |
[2012-12-30] A Google User: Dropbox Sync Issues Sorry still have a lot of sync issues with Dropbox. Been like that for a long time now. |
[2012-12-28] A Google User: HTC One X. - Awesome app Brilliant app. Does exactly what it is said. 4 stars because filenames that come in Russian on on phone uploaded to the server in abracadabra. I suppose it's encoding matter. Please fix and I'll rate 5 stars. |
[2012-12-26] A Google User: Good but could use some improvements Works well, syncs new/changed files immediately if sync conditions are met. Creating custom filters is tiresome, built-in filters are not good enough. I'd like an easier way to include/exclude specific folders. A big minus is that custom filters can not be edited and at least in my case, I can not delete custom filters. Scanning the remote directory over (S)FTP is very slow if you have many small files as it tries to CD into every file for some reason instead of using the output from LS -L to tell if the files are in sync. |
[2012-12-25] A Google User: FC all the time Cm10 xperia t |
[2012-12-23] A Google User: Sync....doesn't sync anymore Not sure why and when it stopped but no longer syncs. While it connects and you can browse the Dropbox folder just fine, syncing is completely broken. Completely defeats the purpose of having this *paid* app.Running on the Nexus 4, JB 4.2.1. |
[2012-12-22] A Google User: Compare with Titanium Backup Titanium Backup has Google Drive support. Why not Titanium Media Sync? |
[2012-12-21] A Google User: Bogus app I will give positive ratings, if you fix the issue with dropbox sync. It keeps failing to sync a simple images folder. Plus as a feature request I would like to see Google drive and sky drive if feasible. |
[2012-12-19] A Google User: It's still great I've been a user for over a year and it's still working fine. I basically use it to sync files back to Dropbox that aren't already synced via Dropbox app (pictures and screenshots) and Titanium Backup (Backups). I really would like a scheduled time to sync like Titanium Backup does. I don't want it to be continuous so I set it for whenever I plug into a charger and WiFi. Only problem is that I rarely plug in cause I switch batteries when I'm low. That's why a scheduled time would be better. |
[2012-12-18] A Google User: Syncs on battery, even though I disabled it |
[2012-12-18] A Google User: It was pretty good I have used this app since it first came out (and paid $ for it). It was buggy to begin with, and that never really seemed to change. After fighting to set it up for a long time on my Epic4G It worked ok, then I got a Galaxy 3 and had to re-set up the app to sync. I continue to have issues with file creation on the remote server while trying to set up initial sync. SFTP (SSH). I have tried too many times, resetting the app, retrying and doing everything I could to make this work. The latest rev goes to a black screen then reboots my phone; not good! I am going to have to find some other application to use. |
[2012-12-17] A Google User: "Failed to create remote folder": infamous or not? I have a backup on a server that I want to update with recent changes from the phone. TMS won't even try to sync (either "Local to..." or "ARCHIVE to...") because the destination directory already exists. Seems like a pretty common use case. On the first sync, though, and on restore, it works pretty well. |
[2012-12-16] A Google User: Always says sync failed Only works for small folders. Terrible at moving in bulk. Always says sync failed |
[2012-12-15] A Google User: Won't sync basic file. Trying to sync my Note everything folder (under 1mb) using archive, but it will not sync for some reason |
[2012-12-02] A Google User: Bad UI Having some issues getting it to log into my ftp server(prolly an issue on my end), but its just stupid having to re input all the account settings in time and time again...trying different configurations is annoying even with as little fields as there are to fill out...also would like to see 2 way sync and a way to schedule syncs...or even a one click widget to sync |
[2012-12-02] A Google User: App Does Not Work on Nexus 7 The app is synced to my Dropbox. The Dropbox data is recognized by the app, but the app indicates it cannot create a remote folder or it just indicates it failed to sync. The app is currently a big waste of money. |
[2012-11-28] A Google User: Titanium apps I stumbled accross these while upgrading my samsung galaxy sii and I must say they are pure must haves. |
[2012-11-27] A Google User: Good but... Need to add box storage please!! |
[2012-11-27] A Google User: Update: moved to dropsync, much better It worked good until recently, now I get lots of sync errors on two different devices. Reinstalled cleared data and still errors. Emailed the dev over a week ago, but got no reply. |
[2012-11-22] A Google User: Good but could be better I've set mine to run when on-power and wi-fi on. I then use 'Wireless Scheduler' to turn Wi-fi on overnight when I'm charging. Works like a charm! When wi-fi comes on overnight, Media Sync kicks in and everything is backed up. But having this capability built-in would be better. EDIT: Figured how to BU entire SD card, plus set up conditions and filter to exclude media folders, etc. Not intuitive and no obvious instructions/documentation on web site. |
[2012-11-18] A Google User: FINALLY DOES WHAT IT SAYS This latest version seems to work now from remote to local. I wasn't as happy a couple of weeks ago when this thing failed try after try after try..even after a fresh reload of ICS..Let's hope it stays this way. This is the only reason I still haven't ranked it higher than two stars. Surprise me with more and I'll change this review for a third time. Cheers everyone!! Keep up the hard debugging efforts. |
[2012-11-16] A Google User: Epic Failure. It's more reliable to just copy your files manually. The app allows my phone significantly when it is NOT synching. There is no option to schedule synch, say overnight. My SD just died and this app did not make complete backups even though my last manual update was yesterday. |
[2012-11-13] A Google User: Excellent This works VERY well for what it claims to be. It's not a replacement for Dropbox sync - if that's your only intent, the there may be others that are better. This app is meant for power users that want fine grained control over what and when. This syncs to FTP, FTP/S, SFTP, and Dropbox. Set it and forget it. The awesome: Supports public/private key authentication via SSH! The problems: I found that something is up with syncing hidden directories (with a dot in front). The UI flashes erratically and never really uploads anything. Eventually it says, "sync failed." Will update with more findings. |
[2012-11-13] A Google User: Note10.1 Doesn't work on Galaxy note10.1. The app keeps force close all the time |
[2012-11-09] A Google User: Was awesome Dropbox sync still failing on a 160mb file. Any ideas? |
[2012-11-09] A Google User: Move doesn't work, but still okay app I love the concept, but MOVE and SECURE MOVE don't work. Keep getting sync to Dropbox error. This reduces the utility of the app, since I want to clean space on the internal SD card. Otherwise, archive and local work fine. Samsung GS3, running JellyWiz Rom. Please fix and I'll give 5 stars. |
[2012-11-05] A Google User: Sorry but very poor GUI design Dropsync is better |
[2012-11-04] A Google User: Has never worked first app I bought so much for titanium |
[2012-11-04] A Google User: Better than reviews imply Wow, these reviewers are brutal. I love this app. It autosyncs my photos and videos so if I lose my phone or the SD card becomes corrupt I won't lose any precious memories. I also use it to upload all my Titanium backups. Now, I know both the Dropbox app and Titanium Backup have built in functionality to do this, but Media Sync does it from one place and with more options. |
[2012-11-04] A Google User: Force Close Opening Settings Downloaded today. Got it working. Update received. Now Force Close when trying to open settings. Please fix. My settings need tweeked and I can't fix them. |
[2012-10-29] A Google User: once you configure it, works great! Not the easiest to just start using, but got it going within a few minutes... sftp'ing to my NAS right now... Nice!!! Droid Bionic to Synology NAS |
[2012-10-28] A Google User: Development stopped? Not enough customer support? Did the development stop for this app? Still stuck on only having Dropbox support and only one-way sync? Cheaper apps are now appearing and they got massive hosts supported, plus two-way sync and a lot of other advanced features. |
[2012-10-26] A Google User: Used to work, back in the days... I finally got around to try if this software has improved, sadly, it has not. You have to basically restart the program after each configuration change for it to apply and it still manages to crash. |
[2012-10-22] A Google User: No cloud storage support other than Dropbox Lots of force closing on gingerbread. Still no support for anything other than FTP / Dropbox. Get with the program developers, work on the crashes and add support for sites like BOX, Google etc. For those who can't wait for titanium media sync fixes, search for "FolderSync" on market and buy it... it supports all the popular online storage sites ;) |
[2012-10-17] A Google User: Doesn't work nexus7 Continually force closes on rooted nexus7... |
[2012-10-17] A Google User: Google drive Why doesn't this app have Google drive yet? Titanium backup had it hours after it was announced, but months later and sync is still without it. |
[2012-10-13] A Google User: Doesn't work I want to connect to my Apple computer. VNC on Android and PuTTY on Windows both connect perfectly but this App just gives a failed to login message. No proper help, no instructions on the web site. Awful! Doesn't remember your account settings so if anything is wrong you have to retype everything. I would give it 0 stars if I could. |
[2012-10-13] A Google User: Piece of Junk I paid for this useless app on the basis that it was developed by the Titanium Backup devloper and so assumed some minor measure of quality. Boy was I wrong. frankly it just doesnt work. I have NEVER gotten it to connect to any kind of ftp server. Requests for support were never responded to. Last time I will ever give these guys money. |
[2012-10-07] A Google User: unsatisfactory crashes repeatedly |
[2012-10-06] A Google User: Slow, barely any options, no button to stop running sync |
[2012-10-05] A Google User: Wrong! When I sync a local empty directory with a remote directory full of my backups I am NOT asking to delete my backups. F***. What kind of sync is that? |
[2012-09-30] A Google User: Incomplete, not worth the money Doesn't offer full 2-way sync as Dropsync does and therefore is simply incomplete in my eyes. Only uploads to Dropbox automatically but doesn't download automatically. No full automatic sync, just 1-way. |
[2012-09-22] A Google User: Slow Takes too long to scan remote (s3 over wifi). |
[2012-09-19] A Google User: Sync "Standard" No probs w/Bionic |
[2012-09-16] A Google User: Drive Would be a great app but no google drive is a joke. |
[2012-09-13] A Google User: the best snyc Media sync is the best way to sync files on Android. |
[2012-09-07] A Google User: Constant upload backup! This is a live sync because if your phone crashes, gets lost, stolen, etc. you can get it back from your cloud or dropbox and your good to go. This a great app, 5 stars, without a doubt one of the best. If you want to download as well then use dropsync. Give this app the credit it deserves. |
[2012-09-06] A Google User: Lacking function and support When will I be able to sync to Google Drive? Two way syncing is necessary...instead of the one way "sync" that just overwrites everything.... |
[2012-09-03] A Google User: Fix remote folder error Changed to 2 stars. Fix the app! No response from customer service |
[2012-09-03] A Google User: Upload or download only The adjustable priority is nice - it doesn't have much of an impact on phone performance when it syncs (and I can set it to sync only when charging, on WiFi, etc.). I wish it did two-way automatic sync like DropSync, though. DInc 2.3 (CyanogenMod 7.2) |
[2012-09-01] A Google User: It works There are still some room for improvements, such as sync only when connected to certain wifi ssid |
[2012-08-30] A Google User: Crap and Poorly Maintained Piece of CRAP that fails to sync most times even with settings and delay to avoid any cause for failure. Now fails to sync at all. Save your money for a quality app! |
[2012-08-30] A Google User: Needs improvement The features should be updated to match titanium backup's ones AT LEAST. Two way sync would be a dream, too. |
[2012-08-29] A Google User: Still terrible Usability is awful. Setting aren't saved when adding a new host and login fails. Everything has to be re-typed. |
[2012-08-22] A Google User: Crashing on SGS3 and Nexus 7 The app crashes when attempting to sync from Dropbox to local SD when sync is actually selected. |
[2012-08-19] A Google User: buggy Try something else first, this app doesn't seem to be maintained to me |
[2012-08-15] A Google User: Replaced due to lack of support Search for FolderSync or ClickFree Mobile Backup. These are great apps that are actually supported by their developers. Titanium Backup is a must have and still receives updates and new features, but Media Sync has been forgotten. 2*'s because it used to work. |
[2012-08-11] A Google User: Not worth it! Hard to believe the same people make titanium backup. Not near as reliable as titanium backup. Bought it 1 year ago and it didn't work then and doesn't work right now. Don't bother buying! |
[2012-08-09] A Google User: JB? Crash on JB while setting up Dropbox sync. Unusable. |
[2012-08-04] A Google User: Ok but Google drive support would be à nice adition |
[2012-08-03] A Google User: Fails Uploads but doesn't download |
[2012-08-03] A Google User: Good idea, serious issues This app is a good idea, but suffers from some serious flaws. First off, the UI is terrible and completely unintuitive. There is a definite lack of documentation for using this, which only compounds the bad UI design. Furthermore, the SSH key handling is broken. It won't accept keys generated by ConnectBot, which are in a format that it claims to accept. I definitely regret buying this, and wish I could return it... but it has potential if the developer puts some work into fixing it. |
[2012-08-02] A Google User: One way sync only? As best as I can figure out, this program will only automatically sync in one direction: it copies files from local to remote. I find this deeply disappointing. |
[2012-07-30] A Google User: Stopped working after SSH upgrade I upgraded my OS and now Titanium Media Sync cannot connect even though other SSH based tools have no problem. |
[2012-07-29] A Google User: Better It actually works now :) Still, I have since discovered DropSync and prefer that. It operates on a schedule rather than trying to be a live sync which this does (inefficient IMO) I suppose this is good if you need it in sync all the time. |
[2012-07-26] A Google User: Fails to sync on jelly bean The app force closes on CM10 |
[2012-07-24] A Google User: Needs google drive support As above. Not much good to me without drive. Hopefully will be updated and I will change my rating. |
[2012-07-22] A Google User: Might be a great app... ...but that is difficult to determine. What do the following options mean when you drag a folder: Local to ... (continuous sync) ARCHIVE to ... (continuous sync) MOVE to ... (continuous sync) SECURE MOVE to ... (continuous sync) and how do they differ from each other? Why is (continuous sync) appended to each option? Update: I found that the way to find out what these are is to select each and it will tell you. You can then back out and try the next until you've scoped out each. The first one is what 99% of users will want. |
[2012-07-21] A Google User: Good but.. Drive and Box should definitely be added |
[2012-07-20] A Google User: Pretty good Please add feature (widget/schedule/locale or tasker support) to sync manually only, on restrict to certain SSIDs. |
[2012-07-19] A Google User: Does Not Work Does not work. Force quit on connection. Galaxy Nexus 4.1.1 |
[2012-07-18] A Google User: Non functional Unable to create remote folders as other posters said. Makes it completely useless. |
[2012-07-18] A Google User: Needs to support Google Drive and Box as both offer a lot more free space. It's supported in the BU why not here |
[2012-07-18] A Google User: HTC EVO LTE Finally able to create folders again!!! |
[2012-07-18] A Google User: Great service Responsive and quick acting support for fixes. |
[2012-07-18] A Google User: Neat Learning |
[2012-07-18] A Google User: Okay but App needs work. Using FolderSync instead. |
[2012-07-17] A Google User: Galaxy Nexus Set up dropbox and appear to have logged in, but I get an error when trying to set up a folder to sync: "Failed to Create Remote Folder" This is a brilliant idea, but until it works, I'm hosed. Will change rating once you fix it. |
[2012-07-17] A Google User: Can't create dropbox folder It logs ok on dropbox, I can see my files and all, but gives error when I try to sync a folder to dropbox (cannot create folder on dropbox). As I see on reviews other people are having the same problem. Is there a fix on the way? Thanks Thomas |
[2012-07-16] A Google User: Fails to create folder in dropbox App is worthless and I spent too much time trying to figure it out so now I can't get a refund |
[2012-07-14] A Google User: There is a bug in the latest version! There is a bug which prevents folder creation on dropbox in the latest version. |
[2012-07-13] A Google User: Cant make folders on dropbox It fails to create remote folders on dropbox Any idea why? |
[2012-07-10] A Google User: Seems like a great idea But crashes quite a bit when connecting to FTP especially when something is mistyped, instead of an error the app just crashes |
[2012-07-10] A Google User: Mark Best app ever |
[2012-07-08] A Google User: works prefectly I used auto upload to dropbox for quite a wile, but I am in the process of moving my usage from Dropbox to google drive for all my personal stuff. currently Titanium media sync doesn't have drive suport yet. but for now using SSH at home and syncing with a folder in my Google Drive seems to be working fine for me. pretty solid app hasn't failed on my yet, adding Google Drive support would make this app pretty much perfect. |
[2012-07-07] A Google User: Disappointing Based on the description and my experience with TiBu, I expected this to be a function sync-via-FTP solution, but the word 'sync' is misleading. This doesn't sync, it pushes. Choose a source folder on your device, choose a target folder on FTP, watch device delete everything in the FTP folder, re-upload it all, then only upload from the device. If there's a way to make this actually 'sync' between two folders, it's hidden well. I hope the developer can resolve this, or at least make an accurate description. 'Titanium Media Folder Overwrite' maybe? |
[2012-07-07] A Google User: Cannot Create Folder in Dropbox App completely broken, will not create a folder in dropbox and this breaks the app for me. |
[2012-07-05] A Google User: Unbelievable Useless. The configuration cannot be saved correctly. The connection was done once and then never. What Titanium programmed here is absolute ridiculous. |
[2012-07-03] A Google User: Buggy Crashes constantly on Razr Maxx. More trouble than its worth |
[2012-06-30] A Google User: Not good Every time I try to setup sync it wants to delete my dropbox folder. I don't want to re-upload all my pictures. They are already in my dropbox folder and on my phone. Just sync them without deleting the same files in my dropbox folder. Makes no sense. |
[2012-06-30] A Google User: Didn't work on Evo 4G LTE I contacted customer support. Their initial advice didn't work. They didn't respond to my email from that point on |
[2012-06-28] A Google User: Google Drive When will this product be able to be synced with Google Drive? I read reports that it has been implemented but I don't see any upgrades and I have the full paid version. |
[2012-06-27] A Google User: Problem I haven't used the app in a few weeks, but when I went to use it today it errors out trying to add any remote folders. I un installed and reinstalled and made sure debug was off just in case this was a problem and I'm still having the issue. |
[2012-06-23] A Google User: Awesome Dev creates quality software and supports his customers. You won't regret buying this app! |
[2012-06-23] A Google User: Very promising Took a few minutes to work out how to apply filters. Just synchronized my 2 gig dropbox ebook and video folder - t just worked, no complaints. I disconnected a number of times dyring my comkute abd it wasnt phased. Would like to see encryption added but if titanium backup is anything to go by then I can only see this app getting better and better. A lot of thought has gone into this app. |
[2012-06-21] A Google User: Works great. Wish you could limit to certain access points. |
[2012-06-18] A Google User: ممتاز Good for sync-ing photos and other media files. The Dev deserves the support |
[2012-06-18] A Google User: Good, but Needs WebDav support. Even ES has it... |
