No more interruptions during meetings, important events or just trying to get a good night's sleep.

Smart Silencer allows you to select contacts that are able to ring through while all other contacts or non-contact numbers go to silent. This includes phone calls, text messages (optional) and emails (optional).  In addition, you may now silent all contacts and override your list of selected contacts. Activate for a duration (5 minutes to 12 hours) and Smart Ringer will turn you ringer back on automatically. Never forget to turn your ringer back on again. All silenced call history, text messages and email messages remain intact.  Smart Silencer may be turned on and off manually or on a configurable time schedule. The status of Smart Silencer can be viewed on the top of your phone at all times (little bell in notification area).  If you are a widget fan, just place the Smart Ringer widget on your home screen and get immediate status.  Single click the widget and update your settings,  status or ring contacts list.  Never touch you phone volume or vibrate setting again.

DROID 1 users may have issues.  You must run with "Silent all other notifications" option checked on the Smart Silencer settings tab.  This is not true on all Droid 1 phones.  SAMSUNG Galaxy users must with this option shutoff.

Crashes my phone I have an EVO 4G LTE. You might want to think about making a trial version so people can c if it even works on their phone before buying it. Needs superuser access. The ring is so low you can barely hear the contacts and there is no way to make it louder. Getting my money back.

Disappointed I have GoSMS for my messaging and I've been looking for an app that will let certain people ring through. I e-mailed the creators of this app asking if it will work with GoSMS and was told they didn't know, and I should buy it to find out. Obviously it didn't work, because I uninstalled it shortly after. Very disappointing.

Works as Described App works exactly as described. So far my only gripes are that the app stays in my notification bar during my specified time, so my phone blinks as if I have a new notification. Also, would like the option to allow texts from allowed contacts. Otherwise, works great, and is easy to use.

Is there a problem with Samsung and this app? Update! Developer has addressed the issues with my Samsung phone and the app is working well now. I noted another minor issue and I am sure that will be addressed in the future. 5 stars now because I now have a needed app that works and for developers follow through.. Great App and support --- --- --- --- --- ( Old: I took a chance and bought this for my Nexus S 4G (4.0.4). It works but does not allow ring through from my designated contacts meaning it blocks everything. I paid for this even though there was no trial version because I read that the dev was responsive and helpful and fast in fixing issues. I hope this is the case as it is useless until fixed. I noticed that many users with samsung devices have the same problem.. I should have checked furthoer. After latest update it still doesn't work)

Works Great, but Not As Smart as I'd Like I really love this app; it gives me peace of mind that I won't miss an emergency call from my kids late at night when I'm alseep. HOWEVER, I can't stand that to add contacts, you must scroll through them, rather than use a searchbox; the process of adding people (especially just to add a single one, later, especially if they're name comes later in the alphabet) is a pain in the butt. On the bright side, once it's set up, it works great; I just wish it were a little smarter/more efficient.

Has problems on the HTC Sensation I initially installed this on my TMO HTC Sensation 4G with Gingerbread. After installing, my phone was upgraded to ICS. Under _neither_ OS, however, did the app work properly. It causes the HTC Sense interface to hang whenever you access the app. It also doesn't recognize start / stop time settings unless you actually open the app to refresh it. So, for example, in the morning if you forget to open the app your ringer stays silent. These may not be problems on other phones, but it makes the app very buggy on my HTC phone. I give the developers two stars for a good concept. They might get three stars if the bug report I emailed to them a couple of weeks ago received any response, but it did not. I'm looking for a better option.

Excellent App. -- performs exactly as advertised Program does exactly as stated. Bought it for my phone and the wife's. Had a few questions and suggestions for the dev. and received courteous and very prompt e-mail responses. Would like to see a separate WEEKENDS settings and the ability to block e-mail, text, v-mail alerts w/o muting inbound phone calls or w/o having to create a ring-thru contacts list. Still a very useful app even w/o those "tweaks". Highly recommended!!
