The ACE Smart Auslan service was established to improve access to Australian museums. There are hundreds of museums across Australia offering audio tours but now there is a way for Deaf and hearing impaired Australians to gain access to this information through a smart phone! Visitors use this application (or a preloaded device from the museum) to scan a Quick Response code at each exhibit. The device then plays a video with Auslan sign language translation and captions.
