Military-related phrases for foreign language learners. With phrases and audio.
Using this app, you can select an English phrase and view its translation and how to pronounce it in the foreign language.
This app was developed as an entry to the CIO/G6 "Apps for the Army" competition, and is based on the modules publicly available online from the U.S. Defense Language Institute.

[2011-10-28] Westrella: Ad free, straight to the point, different speed These are the 3 things I really like about these apps by Robert Theis. First they are read at normal speed, then a second time slower and with different intonation. The Polish spelling is displayed on screen as well as phonetic spelling. The phrases are good too - although geared toward military use, common travellers will also find the medical and general ones helpful. |
