Mobile scoreboard takes a serial data feed from Daktronics scoreboards using a bluetooth serial adapter connected to an android device. The IOGEAR GSB301 serial adapter has been tested to provide this functionality.
In addition, the Mobile Scoreboard can act as a simulator of Daktronics data for testing devices which use a Dak clock feed, such as a score bug generator or statistics machine. The user just needs to select "simulate" instead of "read" in the menu.
On some faulty android bluetooth hardware, this application may cause the phone to run slowly after terminating the application's process and run slowly until the phone is rebooted. If the device doesn't pair with the bluetooth device, unpair the device, turn off bluetooth, reboot the phone, turn bluetooth back on, pair the device, then run the app and attempt to connect. This is a known android bluetooth issue, and running these exact steps in this order will usually allow the device to connect.
