Kaiten Email (v. 1.203) Разработано Kaiten Mail |
Kaiten Mail is an advanced email client for Android. Based on the award-winning K-9, Kaiten has been completely redesigned to look gorgeous on your tablet. (It looks pretty snazzy on your phone too.)
Kaiten supports IMAP Push, POP3, Exchange 2003/2007 (with WebDAV).
Kaiten supports multi-folder sync, flagging, filing, signatures, bcc-self, PGP, mail on SD, multiple identities, search, configurable notifications & more!
Built by K-9's lead developer, Kaiten is simpler, easier to work with and a whole lot prettier. Frequently used commands are now available in the application's action bar. If you have the screen real-estate, Kaiten's split-screen view lets you see a mailbox and individual messages side-by-side.
If you're having trouble with Kaiten, drop me a line and I'll do everything I can to help you out.
Please note that neither K-9 nor Kaiten Mail currently support Exchange ActiveSync.
Kaiten's name is a play on K-9. It's a Japanese word that means rotation and sounds a lot like K10 or K-10.

[2012-01-02] alex: Great email app Best email app around, definitely worth the money |
[2011-12-30] Mario: Good, but.. ..some features like copy mail from a folder aren't tested by the developer a single time. If you send a mail you get an unread trashed mail? |
[2011-12-30] Lawrence: Very Good Pretty happy with this. Much better than default app or gmail app. Nice I can put all accounts together. I have seen some false numbers on empty folders but that's not a deal breaker. I like that bcc opens contacts but I wish they would stay open instead of selecting one at a time and reopening at "A". All in all I can't write these programs and 5 bucks is probably way less than the effort put forth by the programmers. Dropping a couple of stars. Reasons: constant false numbers for messages. Deleted trash reappearing requiring to be re-deleted. The bcc contacts thing. Overall, good program but these things are becoming a bit annoying. |
[2011-12-30] SANTHANAM: Santy Best email application |
[2011-12-29] Don: Excellent Email App I was a K-9 Mail user for over a year and was pleased with it. When I found they released a paid version I felt they deserved my business. Great customer support when problems are reported. Best email app I seen or tried on the market. |
[2011-12-28] Gaylotta: New User I have tried many email programs and have been disappointed with many. I am hoping to find satisfaction with this one. Here are a few issues. I can't figure out how to get my personal folders. I am having trouble setting up my IMAP account for work . Will I be able to choose the account I want to send from when in compose? I would have s ent these issues directly to the developer but I could not find help in menu options. |
[2011-12-26] Tim: Great other than the useless pinch/zoom. Latest update has removed zoom entirely! However scrolling works far better. |
[2011-12-25] jim: Very Pleased - I've never experienced any issues. Full featured and straightforward. I could only ask for documentation of some form. |
[2011-12-25] Adam: Great developer This app always updates to what I need; awesome!!! |
[2011-12-25] nic: Better than K9, but still room for improvement 1. My exchange account was easy to setup, but didn't work correctly. I found turning off sync on all folders except inbox for the most part has fixed the problem... Push still seems a bit delayed however. 2. Unread and starred on accounts screen is always wrong (more counted than actually unread). Selecting icons even brings me to a blank page. 3. Another gripe: please make it easier to "mark as unread" when looking at an email (currently need to return to list and long press for this functionality). |
[2011-12-25] ABQslim: For me it'd be perfect with an option for conversation view like Gmail. Works very well on Droid Inc2. A few little bugs but I'm sure they'll get worked out. Email identities awesome for swapping signatures. Must have! |
[2011-12-24] Dave: Awesome update! All of the features mentioned in the update work very well. |
[2011-12-24] Marcus: Dec 24 update is great! K9, but looks way better! Is almost perfect on my tablet! Great on my phone too! Great job! Today's update works great! Keeps getting better and better! |
[2011-12-24] Idan: Great app but Im missing a widget to show the mails |
[2011-12-24] Renzo: Nice update BUT still, no highlight for the current message that is being read. Also, no conversation mode. Please fix this and this app will be 10 stars! |
[2011-12-22] Janus: Selecting Text Very hard to accurately select text with precision. Otherwise everything else is good. |
[2011-12-21] Alain: Finally dev reactive and efficient. Problem solved. 5 * for Kaiten, definitely the best mail application on Android (and I tried some) Congratulation! |
[2011-12-20] Michael: Needs some Polish still Needs a reliable pinch zoom implemented. Would also be nice to have an option to automatically fit message to window. |
[2011-12-20] Josh: Better than K-9 but... Still needs a lot of work. UI inconsistencies permeate the app and overall design could use some help. Double tap to zoom still missing, pinch to zoom still doesn't work properly, among others. |
[2011-12-20] Damasta: surprisingly excellent! switched from maildroid. pinch/zoom:fine, imap idle/sync:fine, att. opening:fine, ui:fine, all fine! Even the search works reasonably well (no perfect tho). Kaiten manages a 1.2 GB imap account with 160 MB local data for me - at speed! imho best mail client for android, hands down. worth buying and never regretted it. |
[2011-12-19] Ryan: awesome email client really great job w/ the design, functionality. lots of customization choices. best android email client that I could find - back in Sept. 5/5 |
[2011-12-17] ZMAN1001: Very nice These additions were exactly the complaints I had about K9. I like the buttons for reply and send easy to find instead of having to go into the menu. Very easy setup. |
[2011-12-14] Frank: Nice tweaks and fixes to K9. Runs fine on my HTC EVO 4G. |
[2011-12-09] Anonymous: Wont refresh email it worked well for the first 2 days, but it wont refresh my email now. |
[2011-12-08] drm: My New Best App Long time user of K9 email. Find this not to be quirky like K 9. |
[2011-12-08] budchee: very good Finally, an email app with sane UI! thanks |
[2011-12-04] Mark: Best one Tried them all, this is the best |
[2011-12-02] Jamie: Kaiten saved the day Samsung pushed out a 3.2 ROM which broke IMAP email on my Galaxy Tab 10.1. I'm on Exchange Server 2003, and Samsung support says no fix in sight. Kaiten got me back up and working again, and things look great on the Tab. My only wish is that there was a widget for the desktop with at least a rollup of unread message counts, and a mini inbox like the Samsung TouchWiz email widget would be even better. |
[2011-11-29] BlueCoder: Best eMail program ever Works well in all cases. |
[2011-11-29] Mark: mixed I purchased kaiten for both my phone and XOOM and it is a good email client. I have found that since the last few updates (updates in the last few months, as there have been MANY update in the past 6-12 months) cause more fc .. |
[2011-11-29] Iain: This is a basic mail client as suggested. Biggest complaint is that text selection is almost impossible on smartphone (htc sensation). K9 is the same |
[2011-11-28] Steve: Very good email client Please add pull on wifi only option. |
[2011-11-28] Justin: Great email client. No competition. Always improving. Great support and responsiveness |
[2011-11-28] Adam: Brilliant updates Settings import and export!! I've been waiting for that feature for some time! Perfection. |
[2011-11-28] DaWaBZ94: Average Disappointed Push stops working any time Makes this unreliable Regret my purchase :-( Even after multiple updates, still unreliable Uninstall :-( |
[2011-11-26] Scott: Kaiten mail accurate and allows mass erasing of email!! Easy to use. |
[2011-11-24] Nick: Unfortunate K9-mail works great. Can't get this to do more than one imap poll, so no new email ever. Atrix and Transformer both. |
[2011-11-22] the 11/22/2011 Stopped synching.... Worked great on my Infuse for months and now, it stops. No mail unless I manually refresh each acct. Happened to my wifes Evo the same week. Wtf? |
[2011-11-22] Carlos: PERFECT FOR MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS !!! This app is AWESOME....all of my e-mail accounts in one spot. App is light weight and works just as advertised. Split screen looks good on my DROID RAZR. Nice work guys...Jesse in support was great. |
[2011-11-21] Neil: Love K9, so love Kaiten Desperately needs a new icon though, and the ability to set, or remember the position of the vertical divider between message list and message. Cheers |
[2011-11-21] roger: Missing highlight I second Neil's review below, need to have fixed bar in split screen... but what is worse for me and a deal breaker ( purchased both k9 and k10) is the lack of highlight for the message currently being viewed. I receive a lot of messages from same sender and is impossible when you have a column of 10 messages with same header to know where you are and which one you're looking at. I just have to keep going back to android mail client because of that :-(re- downloaded k10 last night onto a new tablet in the hope that latest version might have addressed this problem but no luck....sob sob, so it's back to android for me....i gave 4 stars now, will give 5 if/ when this simple but vital feature ( for me at least) is available. Otherwise faultless app. |
[2011-11-18] mailjasons: I have an HD2, this is by far the best mail client out there, I does lack a few features such as search by contact or conversation though. Maybe in up |
[2011-11-17] j๏ภ-ςค๓єг๏ภ: Works really well on Samsung Galaxy Note Tried endless email clients but at last I found one that's perfect in my opinion. Looks stunning, lots of options available, copes with my numerous email accounts, opens all attachments (inc office docs) and best of all looks the best on the large screen of my Samsung Galaxy Note. Worth the £3 I spent. |
[2011-11-15] Matt: I have tried every other email client I could find...spent some $$ on them... None even come close to this one. Absolutely love this email app! |
[2011-11-14] Viesturs: Best mail app out there Really, really nice mail client for Android. Fast, light on battery and bandwith. So much better than K-9 which is just a resource hog... |
[2011-11-14] noti: Less than two days and already loving this app. Excellent layout, controls and UI. Totally worth the $. Thanks! |
[2011-11-13] Tihunaz K.: Best I've found Very good email app. Tried several others and settled on this. Using a samsung galaxy s2. Previous version K9 is very good too. |
[2011-11-13] Mark: Great app! But... Needs easy-to-use GUI to compose/receive HTLM messages. Enable file multi-select attachments of any file format. Full folder management needed. |
[2011-11-10] Carlo: Carlo The best! I use IMAP of my domain, I can ask the Read receipt! It's wonderful! ! The best money thst I use here. |
[2011-11-08] Tom: Kaiten Mail Excellent Mail Client, worth the price, better feature set than other Mail Clients for Android costing 4x as much. But would like more customization |
[2011-11-05] Rasafrasit: Decent but rough Its usable but from a usability perspective its still very young. Look and feel needs SERIOUS overhaul. |
[2011-11-03] David: Best email app for tablets Have used many email apps, this is the best one for tablets. Very nice layout. |
[2011-11-03] Tommy: New mail Icon Notification icon please. Jesse when can we get a notification icon count for mail recvd. That would make this the best email client. |
[2011-11-03] AzDayton: Kitten mail... The next evolutionary step after dog mail (K9) :-) Really great on Evo4G, Evo3D, Thrive, & Sensation. Love the split screen! |
[2011-11-03] Eric: Fantastic email app! Perfect for my Galaxy Tab 7! |
[2011-10-30] George: Almost perfect One feature I'd like to have is to sent the mail as plain text when encryption is active because HTML breaks encryption. |
[2011-10-29] trptart: Search not working in email Recent updates have rendered the search function useless in my atrix. Please correct this problem. This worked perfectly in previous versions. |
[2011-10-28] angel: Awesome Works well love it |
[2011-10-28] Jay: Love it! Worth every penny! |
[2011-10-27] brandon: Mediocre. Crashes when attaching files on Galaxy 10.1. Look and feel are not near as good as stock app. A few additional features and stock app would be great. |
[2011-10-26] David: Best mobile email client I have been using the free K-9 product by the same company for over a year and Kaiten is even better! Well worth the money to support the development. |
[2011-10-25] Robb: POP3 still buggy Best IMAP client. Worst POP3 client. After various udates POP3 still buggy. Every update deletes any folder stored locally. No response from developer |
[2011-10-25] mike: So much better than standard The developer has a rolling out new changes which are very nice. The display is getting better and better good job. |
[2011-10-24] Anonymous: Attachments Can't open attachments of pdf files or excell. Not good for office use |
[2011-10-22] the 10/22/2011 Good Working great so far but missing only one feature of integration with mobile calendar. Hope next update will include it and would give 5*. |
[2011-10-22] Ron: Exchange user The best available! |
[2011-10-21] Phil: Best Email App but could be better I've tried pretty much every email client in the App Store and Kaiten is the best. However, I have to say it's the best of a bad bunch and could still do with some improvement and polish. It handles my mail effectively but little things let it down - why is move mail to a folder available at the bottom of a message but reply hidden away under another button? I (and I suspect others) reply to mail far more often than I move it to another folder! A bit more thought and polish and it will be a 5 star app! |
[2011-10-19] Rob: Not better than k-9 Not a bad program controls different than k9 but the difference is not worth 4.95. Stick with k9 |
[2011-10-18] Citlali: Love this! Thank you so much for this program! Loving it for my Samsung Tablet! |
[2011-10-18] Wayne: Best email app - period!! Best email app. Much more functional than the app built in to android. And if you have a big screen like bionic, you will really like it. |
[2011-10-17] Giovanni: Awsome Super app works greate and look Awsome, the only thing I miss is to set pic time pollo schedule and not pic. Thanks |
[2011-10-16] Dan'l: Thank you! Icon not quite as butt ugly on my home screen. |
[2011-10-12] ne14abeer: Runs constantly. Would be perfect but app continues to run even with everything set to manual update. |
[2011-10-10] Art: Not getting emails Still haven't got a response from the developer. 4 days ago. Don't buy! Not getting all emails. Using Bionic. |
[2011-10-08] padron: Kaiten Mail works well with Google Apps email for business using own domain and IMAP. I have Android 2.1 on a Motorola Milestone. KM is worth the $5. |
[2011-10-07] Artem: Please change the icon Great client. The only thing I don't like about the application is the ugly(sorry, but it is)grey icon...Please fix or maybe add an option to change it |
[2011-10-07] borhunt: Crashes connecting to exchange Use same settings as k-9 and the app crashes. Sent logs. Why would I pay for an app that work s crasher than it's free predecessor? And help debug? |
[2011-10-06] Ric: Quirky. PITA to navigate. Bloatware. Decent looking graphics. |
[2011-10-05] Eric: Good, but... Have to delete mails twice until they disappear. Please fix. |
[2011-10-02] Larry: A very good mobile mail app I paid and i am satisfied... |
[2011-09-28] the 9/30/2011 Icon Grey icon is ugly. Please replace |
[2011-09-27] Michael: Falls short on 3 areas You should have a second email client like maildroid to open attachments. Can't create seperate sent folder. Trash shows msg count even if empty. |
[2011-09-26] paolino: Works well, best available |
[2011-09-23] richard: Excellent Very good. Only thing is I cannot open attachments. Need to save and download then open from folder. Also copy paste not so good, but think that's the |
[2011-09-23] Stephane: Infinitely better than stock mail apps Using it with both gmail and exchange (IMAP). Love app very much, lots of customization option. Somewhat poor documentation however. Would love it if in split view, the current message would be highlighted. |
[2011-09-17] tungl: Very good Simply the best mail client for Android, but *please* do something about the icon to make it easier to distinguish - and look less ugly. |
[2011-09-17] John: I thought it was excellent but now duplicates each email while other email apps don't. Desire hd. |
[2011-09-16] Rendy: Very good. Motorola Atrix. |
[2011-09-16] Corey: Excellent app and support App is top notch, no question. Sent a message to support and got a response in less than 5 minutes. These guys are on their game. |
[2011-09-15] Dandroid5: Superb Love this. So much better than stock on GSII ... I would like a widget next please similar to the HTC one... Full 4*4 with 2 line preview ... Thanks |
[2011-09-14] Jesse Vincent: I want to help you with Kaiten! If you have trouble with Kaiten, please email support@kaitenmail.com rather than leaving a review here. IF you email me, I can help fix it. (I'm also happy to offer you a full refund any time in the first week if you're not happy with Kaiten) |
[2011-09-13] Debbie: Bought & uninstalled. K9 has more logical UI. Email list & email share screen; slide bar to determine where email starts. Bar location not remembered. |
[2011-09-12] the 9/12/2011 I'm really likeing this.does a bit more than the stock email.that's a plus.well see... |
[2011-09-11] Chris: Good Great mail app but the icon is so ugly! |
[2011-09-09] Vijay: Only solution for push email. |
[2011-09-09] william: Best ever! Ok, so my yahoo mail app was glitching like crazy. I noticed it was happening to everyone and just not me. So I searched around and found Kaiten Mail. I didn't want to pay without trying so I downloaded an apk and tried it out. It was not auto syncing. So I emailed them and within a couple of hours they responded. Kind staff quick help. So I bought the app and am super satisfied. The customer service was extremely helpful and fixed my problems! BUY THIS NOW!! |
