I'm Getting Arrested (v. 1.0.2)

I'm Getting Arrested enables anyone, with one click, to broadcast a custom message to SMS numbers in the event they are arrested.

Very easy to setup and operate. Instructions under help menu.

Inspired by a real Occupy Wall Street incident. Free to the 99%.

App is very fresh - so please test, provide feedback and check for frequent updates.

Adding languages with each update. Seeking volunteers for translations ...

Currently Supports:
Arabic, Basque, Catalan, English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish and Turkish

Great but... Using Cyrillic letters breaks a message. Then it would be great if it could insert sender's coordinates into the msg before sending.

Needs a bit more work Could add location. RECENT location, as GPS signal might not be available right while pressing the key. And cut down on political comments - if this app was created "in general" and not for OWS nobody would commented politically. Since there are more than 1000 ways to get arrested where I live this will be very useful. And yes, contact list and social network will be useful.

Great idea but message length too limited Great app for anyone to have in case you are ever arrested but don't see any reason the full text message length is limited to one SMS limit of 160.

Good for group messaging I have no plans to be arrested any time soon. But this could be a good tool to type in a few phone numbers of friends/family that you text often (it will get saved in the app), and then easily change the text message whenever you want to reach out to all of them at once.

Love the concept - but where's the widget? Great idea - going to be very helpful. But is there a way to create a widget that remains available even with a screen lock? I'd also love to see an auto-start after a power off/on.

Needs "wipe" Warrantless serching of phones is a BIG DEAL, and adding a "wipe phone" option seems like a reasonable step to take as you are being arrested.

I see a a lot of potential in this app... I see a a lot of potential in this app. Like someone has said you should be able to add your contacts to the "send message to" and some way to block your phone, hard block it; something you should go to a PC and use a password. I don't like the idea of losing all my data because a cop wants to check my documentation.

Love the Widget.....but I admit that I use this app 4 mass texts 2 my kids 20 18 18 16 & 15 yrs. ITS so dependable IK they get it every time! Love WIDGET also!

Don't use this while you're getting arrested! Unless you've already got your phone in your hands, it would be really stupid to reach into your pocket to pull out your phone if you're being arrested. The cops won't know if you're reaching for a phone or a gun, so you're putting your life in danger.
