GrooVe Forwarder (v. 1.5.4.155) Разработано snrb Labs |
Note: This application requires a data connection!
Do you use Google Voice? Did you ever wish it was easier to change the Google Voice call forwarding settings in your account (between Google Chat, your mobile phone, your home phone, etc.)? Do you like your Google Voice calls to be forwarded differently based on whether your mobile phone is currently using WiFi or cellular data? Are you a GrooVe IP user and want your Google Voice calls forwarded differently based on the registration state of GrooVe IP? If yes, this app is the answer you have been looking for!
In the "manual" mode, GrooVe Forwarder lets you make changes to your Google Voice call forwarding settings with one click. No need to start a browser, go to the appropriate URL, navigate to the correct screen and then finally make the change!
To make life even easier, GrooVe Forwarder lets you configure how you want your Google Voice calls to be forwarded when your mobile phone is on WiFi or cellular data. Once so configured, the settings in your account will be automatically updated as you move between WiFi and cellular data networks.
In addition, if you are a GrooVe IP user, and you want different call forwarding settings based on whether GrooVe IP is operational (running and registered to Google network) or not, you can configure this once in GrooVe Forwarder. From then on, your Google Voice call forwarding settings will be updated automatically based on the state of GrooVe IP.
Give GrooVe Forwarder a try and save some time and frustration!

[2013-08-22] A Google User: Finally! This should be part of the paid GrooveIP app...but it works flawlessly and fills a big gap in my VOIP setup. Great work! |
[2013-08-09] A Google User: Does what it says For lazy people like myself, people without a PC or people that have no idea how to change gvoice settings this does the trick. Perfect addon to Grove IP but IMHO it should've just been a feature of the paid Groveip app. |
[2013-07-29] A Google User: Great for use with google voice IP calling I use text+ calling and groove forwarder to disable forwarding to my cell when im on wifi automatically. Works great for me and updates within a minute of getting wifi |
[2013-07-13] A Google User: Works great now Finally, It's working instantly. |
[2013-06-27] A Google User: Works perfecty. Kyocera hydro - android 4.2 |
[2013-06-16] A Google User: Awesome $ Excellent+ |
[2013-06-13] A Google User: HTC one unlocked T-Mobile Excellent app work flawless not bad in under$ 1 |
[2013-05-28] A Google User: Too confusing Went through the wizard and had conversations with tech support and never could get this to work right. Finally uninstalled it after missing several phone calls because it wasn't working right. It seems like there are the same settings in 3 different places with no explanation how they relate to or what effect they have on each other. This should be cleaned up and made part of GrooVeIP. |
[2013-05-10] A Google User: This combine with groove IP very awesome now |
[2013-04-18] A Google User: Waste of money It takes 15 minutes or longer to realize it needs to make changes to your Google voice preferences. And in the meantime you'll miss any calls you get during that time. I don't understand why this feature isn't just part of Groove IP to being with. Don't bother. |
[2013-04-17] A Google User: Awesome Works as it should! I'm very happy with it! |
[2013-04-11] A Google User: Used to work Since upgrade to Jelly Bean 4.2 it refuses to login. Now just says cannot retrieve Google voice number. |
[2013-04-08] A Google User: No problems whatsoever Great app. Works as advertised. Looks like the developer has updated the login method. Helpful user guide that walks you through all the settings. A widget for this app would be fantastic. |
[2013-03-29] A Google User: Works once you understand it I use my Google voice number as my main number. This with groove ip allows me to receive calls regardless of whether I get wifi or carrier signal. It took some support via email, but I'm happy so far with both their apps. The developer should consider merging both apps as such cases like mine are probably common. |
[2013-03-28] A Google User: a bit lacking I feel like this should be included with the paid version of Groove IP. It's a pain and sort of confusing have to have another app to so this. It needs OATH sign in like Groove IP has. The settings are aslo confusing as other have said. |
[2013-03-25] A Google User: A little more polish would help. This would be an amazing app if it was possible to create "profiles" that could be activated through programs like Tasker or shortcuts. It covers the bare necessities, but could do so much more. It's also very slow, which may be Google 's fault, but the annoyance from the speed could be negated with the options mentioned above. |
[2013-02-12] A Google User: good idea, but not a super helpful app... Vague menus- I can't tell what the settings are because it resets them every time I go into a menu and gives no confirmation of any update. Also when I lose wifi it doesn't change the setting to non-wifi so then calls aren't forwarded to my cell. Fix those two and I'll give it 5 stars. |
[2013-01-31] A Google User: Garbage Useless... This is already handled by Google voice |
[2013-01-28] A Google User: Fails to login -Galaxy s2, ICS Fails to log me into my voice account. Rebooted phone, doesn't make a difference. Uninstall+reinstall does nothing. No help file and NO REFUND. No one else has reported this problem, but consider yourself warned. And, yes, I keyed the correct user id & password and even generated a Google application-specific password that failed. |
[2013-01-15] A Google User: Very useful Even with my config. Have GrooveIP set to login on wifi and phone to go to airplane mode which stops double rings already. May be useful for some who don't automate airplane mode for that. Real useful part for me is when I manually login to groove IP on cellular to save minutes when they get short and I have spare data. Now double rings are prevented in that case, too :) |
[2013-01-10] A Google User: No thanks It affects where the text messages are sent too (meaning gv won't tell me if I have any new texts when grooveip is running, if they're supposed to be sent to my cell. I have to manually change the settings every time). I just wanted it to change my calls according to the description but leave the messages alone! |
[2013-01-06] A Google User: Exactly what I needed Just set up Groove IP and came across an obvious problem and this app is the obvious solution. I only want to use VOIP over WIFI but not over 3G/4G. This app worked perfectly to change my GV call forwarding settings when disabling/enabling WIFI. |
[2012-12-29] A Google User: Does Exactly what I was wishing for! Samsung SII/Ting dot com (MVNO over Sprint) For those who do not understand the need for this application; 1. The Why, I use GrooVe IP only on WIFI because a) The bandwidth of WIFI allows for good connection/sound b) I do not use my data plan for phone calls because it is not cost effective and quality is spotty. So before this application, when I wanted my calls redirected to my telco phone, I would have to go to google voice page and disable Google Chat and enable my phone number for call redirection. And do the opposite when I am home, so google voice redirects it to Groove IP (App Phone). 2. For the guy Brian who said "worthless" .., 99.99% of the time I do have 3G connectivity, it may not be good enough for VOIP but good enough for this app to send a quick msg to google app changing the settings. 3. If you do the math, depending on your telco plan, VOIP over 3G may not be cost effective, it uses about 600K - 1MB per minute vs using your call minutes. 4. I second the motion for OATH. I was a bit hesitant to enter my google credentials. Knowing it was the same company as grooVe IP made it easier. 5. Happy to pay $0.99 if it means the developer gives this app a little love. |
[2012-12-12] A Google User: Worth it. This function should be standard in the paid GrooveIP, app, but either way, it's worth the money. The new setup wizard is a great addition. |
[2012-12-11] A Google User: Nexus 4 Stock No more double rings. |
[2012-12-08] A Google User: Bionic Simple and easy to use. Love it |
[2012-12-06] A Google User: Don't bother It doesn't work. UI hangs and crashes when you try to update the settings. It just sits there and eats memory in the background. |
[2012-12-01] A Google User: Worthless The purpose of this app is, basically, to avoid a double ring problem of Google Voice calling both your phone and GrooveIp. The idea is to tell GV to stop forwarding to GrooveIP when you loose 3g/4g/wifi so that you will still get calls forwarded to your phone via your cell phone number. However, in order for Groove Forwarder to tell GV to stop forwarding to GrooveIP, there needs to be a data connection..... so you need the data connection you just lost to tell GV to update... uh... so this app is basically worthless. |
[2012-11-30] A Google User: Gimme some Tasker integration And you'll have a real winner. I l-o-v-e not having to use the browser for this, though with more than one phone (e.g. handing calls to spouse) automating things can get confusing. Yes, it would be nice to have the same functionality with 3g/4g as it currently has with Wifi. |
[2012-11-29] A Google User: CRAP! Keeps force closing. Doesn't work. WTF! N4 - Android 4.2.1 |
[2012-11-27] A Google User: Meh Only useful if you use VOIP on wifi only. I use VOIP through 3g/4g as well, and only want call forwarding to my cell number when there is no data connection from wifi or 3g/4g, ie poor signal or emergencies. |
[2012-11-26] A Google User: Obvious Limitation They don't EXPLICITLY tell you this upfront but you have to have a live data connection for this to work. This may seem obvious when you understand what the program actually does --- for those like me who just use GV over wifi <or> cell talk with no 3g/4g service the program is useless. Would have been nice to highlight this caveat. |
[2012-11-26] A Google User: a bit lacking I feel like this should be included with the paid version of Groove IP. It's a pain and sort of confusing have to have another app to so this. It needs OATH sign in like Groove IP has. The settings are aslo confusing as other have said. |
[2012-11-21] A Google User: Useful, but The settings are confusing. It seems that no matter how I set it up, my calls ring through to both cell and gtalk. |
[2012-11-21] A Google User: Does exactly what it's supposed to I don't know what people are saying about settings being confusing, it's super easy. You choose which number(s) to forward to when on wifi, and which number(s) to forward to when not on wifi. Since AutoAP switcher apps don't work any more in Android 4.2 (thanks a loot google), this is the best solution I've found. Especially for those of us using VOIP when on wifi and cell when not on wifi. |
[2012-11-19] A Google User: Works well; could be improved Does what it's supposed to, and is quite convenient. The settings could be clearer, it took a bit of experimenting to tell what's going on, and also it'd be nice if it used the same authentication mechanism as GrooVe IP itself. p.s. Works great in Android 4.2 now |
[2012-11-16] A Google User: Fix needed for 4.2 Login loop after upgrading to Jelly Bean 4.2. Will re-rate when bug is fixed. |
[2012-11-15] A Google User: Didn't work on JB 4.2 Please fix the bug, it didn't work on JB 4.2 |
[2012-11-14] A Google User: Excellent |
[2012-11-05] A Google User: Google nexus jellybeans Excellent app work flawless not bad in under$ 1 |
[2012-10-28] A Google User: OAuth? You added OAuth to GrooVe IP, why not this app? |
[2012-10-11] A Google User: Didn't work with 2-step authentication. |
[2012-10-09] A Google User: Authentication sucks Great app but the authentication needs to be fixed so that it is more convenient to use with Google application specific passwords or otp |
[2012-09-27] A Google User: Update authorization method pls Make same as the main app so typing not required. Tx! |
[2012-09-27] A Google User: it only changes 2 settings should be part of groove ip |
[2012-09-25] A Google User: App does what it saids The app does work, but the setting is a bit confusing. The GrooveIP settings doesn't seem to do anything. Signing in/out of Grooveip doesn't seem to apply the forwarding rules in the GrooveIP section. GrooveIP version I have installed and running is 1.2.26. The only things that appear to affect the forwarding rules seems to be just WIFI and cellular. Also, it would be great if the app can apply WIFI rule only when the phone is connected to certain WIFI SSIDs. |
[2012-09-16] A Google User: Great app Great app works exactly as advertised. I have been looking for something like this for awhile I am so happy they developed this. Keep up the great work! Droid 4 |
[2012-09-15] A Google User: Crashes every time On an LG Optimus V, stock ROM, it crashes every time. It reads settings from my account, then crashes if I try to change any settings. |
[2012-08-24] A Google User: Management Made Easy UI could use a little refinement, but it does its job and does it well with no fuss. |
[2012-08-21] A Google User: Works Pretty Darn Well I imagine that if there was a widget for this app, it would be amazing - 5 star for sure! Thank you for the work so far! |
[2012-08-21] A Google User: piece of junk totally messed up my Google Voice forwarding |
[2012-08-20] A Google User: This is a must have! Makes using GrooVe IP / Google Voice so much easier. Just setup and all is taken care of in the background. On a different note, I thank the developers for offering a free version of GrooVe IP but I think that the paid version should already include the functionality that GrooVe Forwarder provides... |
[2012-08-19] A Google User: Works Great Works very well - but would be nice to be able to choose which WiFi networks trigger the forwarding. |
[2012-08-19] A Google User: Does exactly what it says Groove Forwarder works just as it says. I have it set so when I am on Wifi , I make and receive calls using Groove IP. When wifi is not on, it automatically switches to the native network. |
[2012-08-19] A Google User: Absolutely Brilliant Must have App! |
[2012-08-17] A Google User: Very useful/easy to use Groove forwarder made it Mich easier to use Google voice and Google chat. A must have! |
[2012-08-13] A Google User: Must have Essential. |
[2012-08-11] A Google User: Very convenient. Makes it extremely easy to manage GV call forwarding options. |
[2012-08-02] A Google User: Easy - peasy Does what it says. Makes it so much easier to choose where calls are being forwarded to. |
[2012-07-28] A Google User: Absolutely love it! Does exactly what the description says. It will save me time and frustration every day. |
