Η υπηρεσία αυτή παρέχεται από την Vodafone δωρεάν. Η εφαρμογή στέλνει ενα sms στο 1292 με το νούμερο του αριθμού του κινητού που θέλουμε και μας απαντάει σε ποιό δίκτυο κινητής ανήκει.

Οι συνδρομητές συμβολαίου της Vodafone μπορούν να κατεβάσουν απο το android market την εφαρμογή Vodafone Info για να ενημερώνονται για τα υπόλοιπα ομιλίας, sms και internet.

Most cellular carriers do not allow you to send a text/SMS message to more than one recipient at a time.  Those that do limit the number of recipients, and their native text messaging apps do not make it easy.

Group Text solves this limitation by sending the message to each recipient one at a time.

Whether you need to occasionally text a few friends at once, or you have set groups you are sending messages to on a regular basis, Group Text is for you.

Group Text features include:

-   filtering contacts from all accounts to the ones who could support SMS

-   add, edit, and delete groups of your contacts

-   select one or more groups and contacts to receive your messages

-   message size in characters indicator

-   toasts for the number of recipients when sent and when done.

-   groups store contact references so changes are used when your contacts phone numbers change

How many times have you received a generic text, with a good intentioned friend saying "Merry Christmas" or "Happy New Year!"   How much more would it have meant to you, if instead it said "Merry Christmas [ your name ]"  You might feel special, a personal message to you!

The fact is in this busy life of ours, we simply don't have the time to personalize each mass texting we send out.  But what if you could?

With this easy to use application, you can now personalize any message you want.  Think of the possibilities sending holiday greetings, parties, get togethers, work events, clients,sport activities, even the announcement of a new born!  The list is endless.  What could take hours to send personally, you can now do in a fraction of the time!

Giveahonk (Give A Honk) is a new Android app that will allows everyone to post relevant "honks" from their mobile phone.

For example:
- stuck in a traffic jam
- found a $1,000 suit marked down to $100 at a local store
- just left my parking spot. It's yours if you get here fast enough :-)
- the lines at this shop are out the door. Stay away!
- OMG, just saw Natalie Portman waiting to cross the street

Other people will be able to search for these posts by how close they are to it and how long ago it was posted. If someone benefits from the post, they are encouraged to "like" or tip the Honker. The tip will be given and received anonymously and handled through PayPal.

Since this is a mobile app and privacy is very important, you won't be able to "friend" or "follow" any other person. You will only be allowed to see posts based on location and time. The amount of PayPal tips a person received will be visible and can be considered reputational points.

Why is Giveahonk better than Twitter? For the mobile user who has limited time and attention, do you want to scroll through hundreds of irrelevant tweets or the most relevant Honks?

Future enhancements:
- Built-in hash tags to allow for more relevant Honks & searches
- Adding a picture or video to the post
- Private chat between people (for a fee--handled through PayPal)
- Twitter integration
- iPhone/iPad version
