Listen to your text messages or Caller ID on the go! With Headphone SMS, incoming messages will be read to you by the text-to-speech (TTS) engine through your headphones. It will also announce who is calling.

This app is great for biking, running, or driving. Unlike other apps, this will only read the messages if your headphones or bluetooth are on. You never have to worry about forgetting to turn it on or off, never any embarrassing messages over the loudspeaker. It will also automatically mute your music while the message is read so it can be heard clearly.

For more control you can have the app stop reading messages temporarily with a widget, or tell it to always read regardless of whether headphones are plugged in in the settings.

Explanation of some required permissions:
Modify Audio Settings - Allow users to override system volume settings, route sound only to headphones.
Read Contacts - Allows the app to match incoming phone numbers to the contacts' names.
Read Phone State - When announcing caller ID, this allows the app to know when you have picked up or hung up the call.

The Susie’s Law First Responders mobile app is the #1 way to speak up for animals without a voice in North Carolina.

This app allows you to stay informed about important proposed animal protection legislation.  Most importantly it gives you the power to speak for those who can’t speak for themselves by quickly and easily contacting your state and local NC representatives from your Android device, giving you and thousands of others the collective power to impact the passing of important animal welfare laws.

Susie’s Story:
In 2009, Susie was a puppy found in Greensboro, NC brutally beaten, with 2nd & 3rd degree burns over 60% of her body.  She had a will to survive and recovered while capturing the hearts of people all over the Country.  Susie’s perpetrator received minimal punishment and no jail time.  Concerned citizens knew changes had to be made to make cruelty and killing of animals a Class H felony, bringing incarceration, and helping to put an end to countless cases of animal abuse each year.  After many months of NC citizens calling, and writing letters and emails to their legislators, Susie’s Law PASSED unanimously and went into effect December 1, 2010.
  
This app is dedicated to Susie and all the other animals out there who have suffered as a result of abuse and neglect in North Carolina.

However, this is only the beginning.  North Carolina still has a ways to go in protecting the rights of those who don’t have a voice for themselves.  With this app  you can be a ‘first responder’, receiving timely “Action Alerts”  asking for quick action in the form of emailing your government official to tell them you support a new animal rights bill that is being proposed. You will also be informed when a law is passed or when more help is needed.

Contact Pro Live Wallpaper lets you have instant access to your most frequent contacts, allowing you to see contact information, email, text, or phone the contact of your choice by pressing the contacts image bouncing on your screen. An additional contact button is added for each missed call, with a flashing indication for easy awareness. The contact buttons move around your background as the device tilts. Contact Pro is a live wallpaper, available on devices that support live wallpaper. To "start" the app select it under the wallpaper settings for your device.

Each contact selected (use the settings menu to select contacts) to be displayed will be given a button on the wallpaper, in addition each missed call to the device will also add a contact button with a flashing border to indicate a missed call. The buttons move according to the movement of the device, gravitating to the whichever side of the device is down.

The contact buttons use the contact picture from your contacts, if none is present then the contact name is used. For missed calls with no contact information on the device, the phone number of the missed call is displayed.Tapping on a contact button will expand the individual contact, it's then possible to select a variety of actions. The actions currently supported are contact information, email, phone, text message, and a remove option. For missed calls the information button provides the time and date of the missed call as well as the number called from.

The wallpaper settings provide control for adjusting the size of the contact buttons, from large to small. On an average sized device the large setting allows approximately 10 frequent contacts to be display. Which contacts to display can be set in the "Set Contacts To Show" preference. As many as desired can be selected, however selecting an excessive number can cause the wallpaper to fill with contacts limiting the movement of the buttons. Additional preferences allow the satellite function buttons to be disabled if desired.

Everyone has secrets. And what is the better way to hide your secrets than keeping them as visible as possible. You want to keep your SMSs or emails away from your parent's, girlfriend's/boyfriend's, husband's/wife's eyes? Well, this job gets easier by using My Secret.

A quick comparison
The old way:
* you send a love email to your girlfriend/boyfriend, telling him/her nasty things;
* you accidentally forget your phone on the table while going to the bathroom
* your parents "scans" your phone and finds the email
* you're screwed

The cool way:
* you open My Secret and start typing nasty things for your girlfriend/boyfriend
* you choose an image of an innocent puppy
* you set a Master Password
* you press Create Secret and send the resulted image using your email
* you accidentally forget your phone on the table while going to the bathroom
* your parents will "scan" the phone

Corner case: What if the parents are evil and know how to use My Secret:
* while the parents are looking to the innocent puppy they think that the picture may hide something else
* they try to open this picture using My Secret
* they can see the hidden text, but wait... it is encrypted
* they're screwed as they don't know your Master Password :)



Why not keep your secrets in something "visual" like photos. You will still be able to see your photos in any image viewer/editor and in the same time read the hidden text using My Secret. Everyone else will see just a simple photo. You will know that it hides something more ;)

What if someone uses My Secret to read my photos?
Even that someone else knows how to use My Secret and tries to read the secrets from your photos, you still have the possibility to set a password for your secrets. In this way, no-one will ever know your secret unless it has the password. The application uses military grade encryption to ensure the protection of your secrets (remember, ONLY IF YOU SET A MATER PASSWORD).




User permissions:
* The application needs FULL INTERNET ACCESS in order to display adds.
* The application needs access to EXTERNAL STORAGE read and write secret files.

Most cellular carriers do not allow you to send a text/SMS message to more than one recipient at a time.  Those that do limit the number of recipients, and their native text messaging apps do not make it easy.

Application designed to meet the needs of physically impaired people with very restricted controlled movement.  It features a virtual keyboard aimed to be a means of alternative communication and thus improve their life quality.  All fields and items are scanned, being highlighted as ‘active item’ the one in orange. To access the active item, a touch anywhere on the screen acts as input method. It also includes a voice synthesizer that reads aloud the messages provided by the user to third parties.

It is divided into the following fields:
*Vowels
*Consonants
*Numbers
*Symbols
*Smileys
*Frequent actions (stored by the user himself).
*End (when the user concludes a message to be sent to the speech synthetizer and saved in a database).
*Save Frequent Action (the message will be read aloud by the TTS and will subsequently appear in the frequent action field).
*Delete.

This application also provides a menu with different items: settings, recent messages, about and exit.

Regarding ‘Settings’ menu item, it offers the following possibilities:
*Language (vowel and consonant order, voice synth configuration, etc. depending on the language).
*Type (to select the number of items in the scanning area).
*Scanning speed.
*Speech Synthetizer (enabled/disabled)
*Touch (to access a field or item by simply touching anywhere on the screen, or pressing and releasing anywhere to access the active item).

When selecting the ‘recent messages’ menu item, the system will display the last twenty messages communicated by the user by activating the ‘End’ field on VirtualTEC. The very last message will be the first on the list.

Finally, the menu item ‘About’ simply provides information about the VirtualTEC

To make the voice synthesizer work:
For version 2.1:
- Go to page http://code.google.com/p/eyes-free/downloads/list and download packages "tts_3.1_market.apk" and "com.svox.langpack.installer_1.0.1.apk". Install them on the device.

From version 2.2:
- Go to "Settings> Voice Input and Output", click on "Settings speech synthesis" and then "Install voice data files."
