Cheap/free calls worldwide!
Set up regular calls for free or extremely cheap even without having an Internet data flat rate or data plan! This is possible using the Phone-to-Phone method. You don't pay to call, you just receive an incoming call every time you want to call somebody.

NO DATA PLAN REQUIRED:
This App uses a minimum amount of Data. This App does not transfer your voice using Internet Data (like SIP Apps do), so the data transfered is minimum: less than 5 KB per call! So it's also ideal if you don't have any data plan or flat rate. In this way the sound quality is also PERFECT, since the call is done via GSM network NOT USING DATA.

You can start a call by selecting the contact on your normal address book or using the option to send a SMS and select Phone2Phone to call automatically.

You can also use this App to route intents. Forward dialer intents to SMS Apps and the other way around. Use for example the videocall button to call using this or any other App. Additionally there are 4 customizable Buttons for your favorite Apps.

Make this App your default Android Dialer and/or SMS App, then:
"Internet Call" button: calls using the Phone 2 phone system
"Call.." button: uses another installed App to start a voice call
"SMS.." button: uses another installed App to send a SMS

You can personalize which App to use or simply show every time the list of installed Apps for calling or SMS.


A new alternative way for calling:
HOW TO CALL WITHOUT INTERNET:

If you have a local Land-Line Flat-rate or a local minutes pack, you can use instead of the phone to phone method the local access number to make your international or cell calls. To find out the local access number for your provider in your country, visit your provider website. Some examples below:

STEPS TO CONFIGURE THIS APP:

1) Check the price comparison link and decide which provider is the cheapest for the countries you call
2) Go to the provider website and create an account (ex. www.easyvoip/signup)
3) Validate that account and pop up some credit (I can't help here, each provider is different)
4) Open the App go to Menu->Settings:
4.1) Set your own phone number in international format
4.2) Select "Automatic->provider"
4.3) change "Automatic->User" with your new account username
4.4) change "Automatic->Password" with your new account password

Automatic SMS: As always, following Automatic SMS features will remain free in Smart Receiver Free version. Set SMS to Automatic Mode from main screen to use following features.
* When some person from your phone book contact list calls you, Smart Receiver automatically Sends SMS message to the caller when you reject or miss their call.
* You can also set customized SMS message for each contact in your phone book separately if you want.
* Black List certain contacts by Disabling Smart Receiver for particular contacts. Once disabled for a contacts SMS will not be sent to that contact when you reject or miss the call of that contact.
* Can be used to send SMS even if the caller is not in your phone book. (This feature is Disabled by default,but you can change it in settings).
* This app smartly helps you in giving a good feel factor to your callers by informing them that their call is important for you without your manual intervention when you cannot attend their call.This is a very useful feature for someone who has to attend lots of calls everyday.
* Easily Activate or deactivate Smart Receiver by click of a button on the main screen.

My number can be used to show two fields on demand. It is not linked to the Contact book because you should decide what is shown.

Most of the miss call notifying applications work on default android notification. Once you clear notifications from notification bar notification from application/widget is also gone.

Call Back works differently, it will keep you posted about missed calls until you call back or attend an incoming call from the same number later. So you can clear your default notification and yet have names listed on widget and in the application. Also this application is not only free but also Ad free! ;)

Call Back has the following features-
1. Call directly from 2x1, 2x2 widget from your home screen, by clicking on the call button.
        
2. Call by pressing the call icon in the app (just like in widget).
        
3. Add call reminders.
        
    
4. Different widgets for missed calls and reminders.        
    
5. Long press the contact notification to-      
-open contact details from your cellphone contacts/add contact option for unknown numbers.      
-or, to send a message.      
-or, clear the notification.      
-or, add reminder.      
-or, edit reminder.        
    
6. SETTINGS-      
-Rear View: See notifications of past 'X' number of days.      
-Sort Order: See your notifications as Latest-Call-First or Oldest-Call-First.      
-Black List: Contacts whose notifications you do not wish to be reminded of to 'Call Back'. You can even remove these contacts from Black List.      
-Select whether to show unknown numbers in widget or not.      
-Set refresh delay to suit your phone's speed(This is different from widget refresh rate and won't affect your battery life).        
    
7. Select CLEAR ALL to clear out all notifications from app as well as widget.        
    
8. Go to your phone call log directly from the app, without having to close the app.        
    
9. Similarly, go to the Call Back app, by clicking on the blank spaces in the widget.
