Works great but..... I love this app and purchased an android phone mainly because I wanted echolink on my phone. I have simplex node at my house and I can log into it from pretty much anywhere now. Only problem is, I can't get it to work with my bluetooth headset on my S3. I can use handset audio or speaker audio but not the blutooth headset. It would be 5 stars if I could get that to work.

Works fine, except for audio Once I set up port forwarding on my router, the connectivity issues were gone. But the app disables the headphone jack. Something is wrong there. I went over the app settings thoroughly, to no avail. You MUST close the app from the "QSO" screen, or it will keep re-opening.

Will not save any preferences Requires username/password every time its opened, does not retain favorites nor user preferences. Everything must be re-contructed everytime I run the app. Other than that, runs fine on Samsung Infuse.

Got it working! Absolutely would not run correctly the first time I installed it on my Motorola Photon Q. Kept crashing back to the desktop every time I tried to connect. Uninstalled it then reinstalled it and now it works fine. Weird.

Runs Almost Perfectly Well Despite Google Play claiming "This item is not compatible with your device", it runs almost perfectly fine with my 7-inch Android Tablet PC running Ice Cream Sandwich. Unfortunately, it runs poorly on my other Android devices. I would have given this a 5-star rating if the TX screen showed full-screen in portrait-mode.

Needs more development A really nice app. Clear sound on my lg p500 cm9. But you must add bluetooth, another key for ptt(menu button) and ptt on hands free. Also show node numbers

One Major Annoyance Pretty much like the desktop version EXCEPT that you cannot see the text area box while transmitting! All you see is a picture of a microphone. Why not use that screen real estate to display the text box, even if you can't send text? I don't know if this is the limitation of all "smart phones" or the app, but that's why I only give this app 3 stars. I'll still use my desktop or laptop computer whenever I can for EchoLink.

half works August 2012 - did'nt quite work for me. 7 inch tablet with android 4 ICS. It logs in ok. It retrieves the station list ok. But it will not connect, not even to test server. Not in direct, relay, proxy or any other connect mode i tried 'em all. Fail.

Won't connect Droid to iPhone I have a DROIDX2 and my brother-in-law has an iPhone. We've tried all of the different proxies but still can't connect to each other directly. The only way we can connect is through a third party.

T-Mobile problem (Not app's fault) In many situations, this is a MUCH handier way to connect to Echolink servers than using a PC. The program is a little flaky sometimes -- crashes, refuses to exit -- but overall quite useful. (Request: Possible to skip loading list of current stations, and only use favorites? Not sure if info from current list needed to connect, but it sure takes a long time on a slow connection!) T-Mobile problem: Used to work, but recently, cannot connect to any server. T-Mobile doing some funky NAT that's messing up UDP or something? Request hits server and server shows connected, but client never gets ack back, and shows "connecting" until time-out. Works fine from Wi-Fi networks.

Why is Echolink always a pain to use? Been using Echolink for years. Not one version has been easy to setup due to the way it routes data. This one doesn't work either. I've tried all settings, wifi, 3g, 4g, none of.them allow communications. Phone is a new Galaxy Note.
