E-mail Notifier for incoming email notification - currently for Gmail and K-9 Mail accounts (only popup for K9).

IMPORTANT:

[May 21, 2012] New Gmail API doesn't allow reading of e-mails' content (only email unread counter is accessible - which is not enough). Unfortunately, that means you still need to downgrade the Gmail version to 2.3.4.1 (or older) if you wish to use E-mail Notifier for Gmail accounts. Other news, we're working on adding more e-mail providers and Android 4.0 UI suport.

Awesome Get it if it does not work just uninstall it and download it again! K-9 works best! But gmail works ok. But use it through K-9.

good app I needed an app that will wake me up upon receiving an email. K9 does this but doesn't let you turn off an alarm once it starts (i wake to Crazy Train... I want to kill the aongonce i am awake). This app would be perfect except it doesnt let me set the volume for the alarm so ifo went to bed in low volume system mode, it would play Crazy Train at low volume, not enough to awake anyone. Develop a volume level override and this app would be perfect.

Just pops up a (not useful) big box "Notification" consists of a large box in the center of he screen with the date and the name of the E-mail account. No preview, no info about sender or message. Not really useful.

It works....Yahoo Thanks to Michael's instructions on Oct 11th, my notifier finally works again. Thanks so much for the instructions!! so happy :-) This e-mail notifier is one of the best apps around. So very versitile....etc.....glad to be back to normal. I have a great Samsung Galaxy S I've copied pasted Michael's instructions: "quick fix. Delete e-mail app. Then go into manage applications/ find g-mail/ delete updates 4 it. U now have ver# 2.3.4.1. Install e-mail app again."
