Callcentric (v. 1.18) Разработано Callcentric |
The Callcentric Android app allows existing Callcentric customers to place calls worldwide using their Callcentric account and save significant money over cellular carrier calling rates. This is particularly useful to customers who want to save money on international calls, or want the caller ID of their Callcentric account to show up on outbound calls they place instead of their Android phone number.
Just download the app and configure your Android phone number, Callcentric username and password, and you're ready to start calling. When you place a call from the app you will first receive a callback to your regular Android phone number, and when you answer your Android you will be connected to the party you dialed.
• Traveling overseas?
In many places around the world you can obtain a local SIM card either for your un-locked Android or a pre-paid and cheap GSM mobile phone. In many countries inbound calls to your mobile number are free, and by combining this with the Callcentric app you can place calls back home or worldwide for much lower rates than roaming with your phone, placing calls from your hotel, or even using a locally obtained SIM card.
• Use it from other phones!
You can even set a different phone number than your Android phone number in the Callcentric app, and the number you enter will be called first to initiate your call. For example, perhaps you're staying at a friends house and want to place a call that doesn't get charged to their phone? Simply enter the phone number of your friends home phone in the app, and you can initiate a call that will first ring your friends phone, and then when you answer connect you to the party you want to call, all without your friend receiving any charges on their bill.
• Even call Callcentric 1777xxxxxxx numbers!
Using the Callcentric app you can call any other Callcentric customers 1777xxxxxxx number, even if they don't have a "real" phone number. You can also place calls to other VoIP networks using Callcentric and SIP Broker.
• See your Callcentric account balance anytime
Your Callcentric account balance is always shown within the Callcentric Android app.
• Dial as you wish
You can dial manually from the keypad, from your recent call history, or by using the contacts on your Android.
• Want to use Callcentric directly over VoIP from your Android?
There are many 3rd party apps available for the Android that will allow you to use your Callcentric account over Wi-Fi or 3G data and place calls using VoIP softphones.
• A note about charges:
Please note that regular data charges may apply if using the Callcentric app over a cellular data network (2G / 3G), and regular call charges will be applied by your cellular carrier for receiving inbound calls to your Android or the number you enter as "My Number" in your settings. Calls placed from the Callcentric Android app will incur 2 charges on your Callcentric account: 1 for the call to your Android or number you enter as "My Number", and the 2nd for the call placed to the person you are calling, both at standard Callcentric rates.
• Note to Verizon / Sprint / CDMA network based Android customers:
The Callcentric Android app uses data to communicate with the Callcentric network. CDMA networks (Verizon/Sprint in the USA) don't support using data (2G / 3G) and voice simultaneously unless you are connected to a Wi-Fi network. Because of this, CDMA Android customers may have difficulty using the Callcentric app, especially if you are using it while not connected to Wi-Fi AND while in a 2G (1XRTT) data coverage area.

[2013-06-14] A Google User: Useless Wanted account management |
[2013-05-29] A Google User: Very poor customer service Beware of the Callcentric customer service. They only work through emails with slow responses and the customer support staff is not very knowledgable about their service. Service is also prone to outages. You will not recieve what is advertised. Scott Blazo |

[2013-05-24] A Google User: Samsung Galaxy S3 It doesn't make calls!! ... uninstalled and then found another app CSipSimple which is much better. |
[2013-05-05] A Google User: This is only a callback tool -- it won't make calls from your phone. |
[2013-04-27] A Google User: Useless! What nightmare! It is not their click2call VoIP option from your pc website, but dial to make a dual call and get triple billed(call to your cell, call to the recipient, and your cell phone minutes). Does not work if your cell has wifi signal but no cell reception. The account balance does not update after each call, you do not receive calls made to your CC number, no access to vmail or call history. This App is a failure and should be removed. A link to their website login welcome page would be more useful. |
[2013-04-04] A Google User: misbegotten pre-VOIP design what a wasted opportunity. this is just a generic softphone dialer with some dial-back functionality for people whose VOIP usage orbits around their cellular account. what i would have wanted to see out of a "CallCentric App" would have been GUI'ed Android access to my CC vmail, call history and settings as well as vanilla dialing. the "history" only shows the calls seen by the app while running; NOT the call activity seen by the DID. the architect seems stuck in the 1990's cell carrier mindset: the internet is just some pimple on a cell-phone. this GalNote owner sees his Android device as a pocketable internet device that can connect over a cellular carrier, as well as wifi, and that allows voice communication as value-added. this "app" shows all the design creativity of a "Call-Centric complimentary grocery tote-bag". it's a good thing that it's free, although it's still overpriced. |
[2013-03-16] A Google User: Be wise people I registered and did everything but its still as useless and worthless as f*uk...don't waste your time with the app. Its not free and they want your money for everything and they don't reply to emails :-( |
[2013-01-22] A Google User: Works great Works with no problem and save so much money for international calls. Love it! |
[2012-12-24] A Google User: Terrible App It's a joke!!! |
[2012-12-11] A Google User: charge without permission? 911 cost recovery fee? $1.50 ain't much but who gave u permission to charge?! signed up years ago, but at the time there was no such charge. |
[2012-11-28] A Google User: Duh 2 stars for being so stupid as to not name the app properly, like people have time to read the full description before understanding that this is call back app |
[2012-11-02] A Google User: Nice, but... Force closes after I enter all my login details and tap Done. And, its unable to receive calls. |
[2012-10-25] A Google User: Needs more features Works as described but should add the ability to view and listen to voice mail |
[2012-10-19] A Google User: Good for America (with our often national-only mobile calling plans) |
[2012-10-17] A Google User: Works amazing This is NOT a SIP/softphone. If you want that it's already integrated into android 2.5+. This app integrates with android and can be a full dailer replacement allowing seamless callbacks from your contacts list, text messages etc. This allows people with unlimited incoming calls to place outgoing calls without using cell minutes. This works amazing when you are in places that don't have a strong enough data connection to simply place a SIP call because you use your carriers voice network (rather then their |

[2012-10-06] A Google User: stupid app hey callcentric, I am callcentric customer since 2009. please dont wast time on call back apps. users like us need stand alone callcenric app to make calls and receive calls. |
[2012-10-03] A Google User: Great Extra good app... |
[2012-09-13] A Google User: Can't understand the comments about this application... This application is great and works 100%! Htc hero |
[2012-09-09] A Google User: Callback We need a full VOIP software, not callback! |
[2012-08-25] A Google User: Good app Working fine on Galaxy Nexus |
[2012-06-13] A Google User: It sucks!!! |
[2012-04-05] A Google User: Good idea! Does what it's supposed to do. |
[2012-03-30] A Google User: A fantastic app for travel. |
[2012-03-28] A Google User: Not a voip app Just a callback tool that connects you over your regular cell airtime. |
[2012-02-23] A Google User: People are confused. Deserves higher rating. This is the Click2Call app (why didn't they just call it that?) In the settings be sure to enter your *callback number* in the phone number field, NOT your Callcentric number. People complaining it's not a VoIP app are confused... It's not supposed to be! Android has a built-in SIP client that works with the service if that's what you want! |
[2012-02-21] A Google User: At Last. Excellent app! Works great on SG Note Saving $ now on foreign trips. Very convenient. Surprised by bad ratings & misunderstanding of app. Guys, this is not a SIP softphone and you must be a Callcentric user for app to work. |
[2012-02-06] A Google User: Works exactly as described. The title says it all. Works great when combined with an unlimited incoming plan, especially while roaming or for long distance calls. I would imagine the same for a My5 or similar plan. Just a note that this is not a Sip client. IMHO, it's better than a SIP client in that I can have (slightly more expensive, yet) high quality calls when all I have is 3G or Edge. |
[2012-02-03] A Google User: You guys don't understand! ...it's an app for people with a Callcentric account and uses their click2call callback feature so that if you have an mobile phone plan with free incoming minutes then you save your prime minutes and get Callcentric calling card rates. |
[2012-01-14] A Google User: Perfect! Now I can call clients from cell and they know its me and they don't get my real cell number. |
[2012-01-10] A Google User: Pointless not a sip client |
[2011-12-19] A Google User: No funciona. |
[2011-12-04] A Google User: Failed Bad app. Does not function. |
[2011-12-04] A Google User: Best VOIP service on the net I installed this app the day it was released. After I carefully "READ" the instructions, it worked perfectly. The cost reduction of long distance calls is welcomed. For us Canadian users being gouged by our big three, monopolised and condoned by our "Polite Dictatorship Government", this is a must have along with Callcentrics service as VOIP provider. Although there is no tech support by phone, answers by email are usually prompt accurate to correct a problem. I am changing my long distance plan with Fido alias Rogers to balance their charges to this favorable service. Thank you Callcentric. |
[2011-12-04] A Google User: Does not work on tablets Callcentric is a great VoIP service. I am a long time happy customer, but unfortunately this is not a true VOIP client. Will not work on tablets. |
[2011-12-03] A Google User: Not what you think it is I assumed that this is a SIP client that will allow me to make calls from my andriod phone without charging any minutes to my phone. This is not the case. All it does is call back my cell phone (which uses minutes) and then place the call using my callcentric number. In other words, you will be double billed 1st by your phone and then by callcentric. I think that most of the people that have written positive reviews will change their tune when they see their phone bill. |
[2011-12-02] A Google User: . Always call failed on htc thunderbolt on 3g and wifi. |
[2011-12-02] A Google User: Awesome Works great on my Marquee! |
[2011-12-02] A Google User: Not Working LG P500 NOT WORKING. NO SOUND |

[2011-12-02] A Google User: Force close on evo |

[2011-12-02] A Google User: No sound |
[2011-12-02] A Google User: Not working on MT4G Call is connected. Not hearing anything on my end. Cannot get back to Dialpad or contacts once connected. Hope this gets fixed. I very much like callcentric otherwise. It is my primary carrier for a long time. Please iron out the issues. |

[2011-12-02] A Google User: No Sound on Nexus One CM7.1 |
[2011-12-02] A Google User: Not ready |
[2011-12-02] A Google User: Need to be improved. Does not work on my phone. |
[2011-12-02] A Google User: Work as expected Works as expected, after reading the help page. :-) For some reason the dial pad doesn't have alphabetic characters. |
[2011-12-02] A Google User: Works Good app. Works as I'd expect. Saves me money versus calling on my expensive PAYG UK mobile. As another review said - needs alpha-characters on keypad - that's about it. |
[2011-12-02] A Google User: Not Working XT860 4G Nice design, user interface, work in progress, more updates required, jh |
[2011-12-02] A Google User: Every call failed! Although this app reported that it registered correctly on Callcentric's servers, every call attempt failed. Try the Linphone app. It works perfectly. |
[2011-12-02] A Google User: Not Good Not a SIP client, does not take advantage of WiFi, only uses cell carrier. Will use if SIP client added and WiFi. |
[2011-12-02] A Google User: What in the world....... I've been using callcentric to call from my Nexus One for a while now, using a built-in SIP client, integrated into the stock dialer. But I wanted to compare this app in terms of call quality. Half of the time it will not connect properly and I get music... and I think I found out why that is... it's calling the wrong number for some reason. I was home alone and calling home... and someone picked up! It even got my country code wrong as it was an american woman I was speaking too. Call quality was good tho. |
[2011-12-02] A Google User: Not a callcentric client, folks. |
[2011-12-02] A Google User: Stupid and pointless You need to receive a call-back to your main callcentric phone to be able to dial a number; why not simply dial from your main callcentric phone?!? |
[2011-12-02] A Google User: Uses Click to Call - Not a SIP Client This uses Click to Call and requires a callback to the mobile phone. Not sure what the rate advantage is except for international. Also will not work when no mobile service. I much prefer a SIP client such as 3CX or the native Android SIP Client. Hopeful for an update to pure SIP. |
[2011-12-01] A Google User: Good application |

[2011-12-01] A Google User: Excellent! OMGWTFBBQ!! Ponies too! :) Just what I needed! |
[2011-12-01] A Google User: Not on MyTouch 4g Does not work on my phone. Will change star when it goes. Thanks for the effort. |
