When reception is good the phone reduces power & EMR (Electromagnetic Radiation). If reception is weak, the phone uses max power and emits maximum EMR. This app shows when it may be unsafe to put the phone to the ear. It helps reduce SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) - the rate at which radiation is absorbed by the human body. Installs on external SD card for Froyo.
Note that in order for the app to identify signal strength, it may need to access fine location services.

If you like to get ads filing up your notifications, then again this app is for you. Never even made it into the app, so I can't tell you if it's good or not. So maybe to some it would be worth it, but not to me. |
