Call Control allows you to originate calls from your Android phone through your BroadSoft BroadWorks powered desk phone and enables easy control of Remote Office, BroadWorks Anywhere, DND and Call Forwarding settings while on the move.
It also supports joining/unjoining of any call centers you are a member of as well as access to your desk phones call log.
IMPORTANT: Call Control requires service from a BroadWorks powered service provider and the account must include the following services
- BroadWorks Anywhere
- Remote Office
- CommPilot Express
- Simultaneous Ring Personal
- Calling Line ID Delivery Blocking
- Do Not Disturb
- Call Forwarding - Always
- Call Forwarding - No Answer
- Call Forwarding - Not Reachable
- Call Forwarding - Busy
- Basic Call Logs
- Client Call Control*
in order to benefit fully from this app.
* Without "Client Call Control" call initiation is not possible.
Note that the default port for OCI/CAP communication is 2208 - or 2209 if SSL is enabled.
Regarding ICS / Ice Cream Sandwich:
The app works well on Ice Cream Sandwich - there are however some manufacturers that are a bit sloppy getting the device profiles updated, resulting in erroneously listing of apps not being compatible. If you have a ICS based device and the app is listed as incompatible, please contact support for a workaround.

[2011-07-18] Paul: Works well - Very useful I've only used this for a few days, but so far it has worked very well. I use this with BroadWorks Anywhere and like the ease of dialing without first needing to dial the portal. It would be even better if it allowed you to dial *11 when your desk phone is already in use, thus moving the call from your desk to your cell. |

[2011-06-21] jimbo: So far so good! :) I really like this app! I use it to dial through the office so that I'm not giving out my private cell #; works great for this. Provider is ISN Telecom (ipFone) & setup was simple Same user & password as the Broadsoft portal and Enterprise Assistant. I'd love to see better dialer integration or "always on mode", silent/auto-answer of ring-back call (a la GV Callback), and it would be great if Remote Office mode didn't have to be enabled all the time to receive callbacks when Ring All is already enabled in Broadworks Anywhere. |
