AndroBOINC (v. 6.10.58.rc) Разработано Palo M. |
This is a remote control of (PC) BOINC clients from Android device.
This light-weighted manager for BOINC clients:
- can connect to BOINC core client via WiFi or mobile network
- displays status of client: projects, tasks, transfers and messages
- provides basic controls for client
Configuration of BOINC client can be complex, see detailed instructions in Wiki https://code.google.com/p/androboinc/wiki/HowToSetup
BOINC client can send a lot of data traffic to AndroBOINC, so please be careful about autorefresh feature when you are on mobile network and you don't have flat data plan (included network usage counter can give you hint about data volume).
Please report any issues or propose enhancements via application issues page https://code.google.com/p/androboinc/issues/list
---
The permissions explanation:
android.permission.INTERNET
- To be able to connect to client (of course)
android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE
- To know if connection is over WiFi or Mobile (different refresh rates are configurable)
android.permission.WAKE_LOCK
- To keep screen alive (this option is configurable in preferences)

[2013-05-29] A Google User: Works well for me Sad to see this app isn't working well for everyone, but I found it very easy to use and it's a great app to check your crunching status. |
|
[2013-02-16] A Google User: No instructions, no way to add servers. Can't even Google it. Don't waste your time. Instructions make no sense, the PC versionis so much better. After looking at the wiki this guy made for it I've concluded that the most effective means of dealing with this app is to uninstall and wait till they have compiled together at least a small list of servers. This is a problem this developer will never fix. I can promise that. I have checked back on this app periodically the last year. |

[2012-12-16] A Google User: it works... but the directions for setting it up causes the gpu to be disabled (on windows vista+) |

[2012-06-24] A Google User: Needs improvement This is one of those apps that when it works for your network, it works great, or not at all. I've configured my network and boinc config six ways from Sunday, and in essence, every device on my LAN except the 2 android devices running this can connect to my boinc computer. Even random test servers outside my LAN can see it. I've got 5 different apps that see devices just fine on my network, every day. This just needs improving. |
|
[2012-05-07] A Google User: User friendly!? Please make this app more user friendly for the not THAT technical people! Do we all have to be semi-coders to get this? A simple click should suffice to start sharing your flops to any project you like. I don't want to look up host names and port keys... |
|
