Activarian Network (AN) is a Telluride Vision project using open source software for information collection, visualization and interactive mapping. AN is a tool to easily crowdsource information using multiple channels, including SMS, email, Twitter and the web. AN collects information related to citizen activities taking place in and around public places intended to influence public opinion and/or government policy and makes this information instantly available. AN provides a needed service to a particular community of interest.
