Usage Notes:
Please note that this app requires that your phone/tablet has license for Google applications.  If your device does not have a "Contacts" app, this app is unlikely to work on your device.  If you are not sure about the licensing, try our Ad-supported "Contacts3" app first.

For Android 2.3 users, this app does not automatically clear "missed call" notifications as was done in earlier Android versions. This was because Google has added further security restrictions in the 2.3 release of Android. Users will have to clear the "missed call" notifications manually.

This app is great for biking, running, or driving. Unlike other apps, this will only read the messages if your headphones or bluetooth are on. You never have to worry about forgetting to turn it on or off, never any embarrassing messages over the loudspeaker. It will also automatically mute your music while the message is read so it can be heard clearly.

For more control you can have the app stop reading messages temporarily with a widget, or tell it to always read regardless of whether headphones are plugged in in the settings.

Explanation of some required permissions:
Modify Audio Settings - Allow users to override system volume settings, route sound only to headphones.
Read Contacts - Allows the app to match incoming phone numbers to the contacts' names.
Read Phone State - When announcing caller ID, this allows the app to know when you have picked up or hung up the call.

The Susie’s Law First Responders mobile app is the #1 way to speak up for animals without a voice in North Carolina.

This app allows you to stay informed about important proposed animal protection legislation.  Most importantly it gives you the power to speak for those who can’t speak for themselves by quickly and easily contacting your state and local NC representatives from your Android device, giving you and thousands of others the collective power to impact the passing of important animal welfare laws.

Susie’s Story:
In 2009, Susie was a puppy found in Greensboro, NC brutally beaten, with 2nd & 3rd degree burns over 60% of her body.  She had a will to survive and recovered while capturing the hearts of people all over the Country.  Susie’s perpetrator received minimal punishment and no jail time.  Concerned citizens knew changes had to be made to make cruelty and killing of animals a Class H felony, bringing incarceration, and helping to put an end to countless cases of animal abuse each year.  After many months of NC citizens calling, and writing letters and emails to their legislators, Susie’s Law PASSED unanimously and went into effect December 1, 2010.
  
This app is dedicated to Susie and all the other animals out there who have suffered as a result of abuse and neglect in North Carolina.

However, this is only the beginning.  North Carolina still has a ways to go in protecting the rights of those who don’t have a voice for themselves.  With this app  you can be a ‘first responder’, receiving timely “Action Alerts”  asking for quick action in the form of emailing your government official to tell them you support a new animal rights bill that is being proposed. You will also be informed when a law is passed or when more help is needed.  
North Carolina Voters for Animal Welfare (NCVAW) is a state-wide grass-roots organization dedicated to improving the care and treatment of all animals. Support their efforts by downloading, using and sharing the Susie’s Law First Responder App. By doing so, you are the voice for the animals of NC!

In the beginning. I am not skillful in English. Please forgive strange sentences.

It is a home screen widget that observes the Web server life and death.(alive monitoring).
This widget will inform you of the operational condition of the Web server with the icon in the widget.
For instance, the icon in the widget reddens when there is no response from the Web server to be observed.

-  This usage
･It is possible to use it for the alive monitoring etc of home server (Web server).
･Especially, it is possible to use it also for the reflection check of dynamic DNS when Internet Protocol address of home server is changed.

-  Point of this application program
･Google App Engine is used for the monitoring . Even if the monitoring object is a home of opening to the public server, life and death can be confirmed from wifi in home.

-  How to use.
1.The widget is arranged on the home screen.
2.Because it will not be possible to use it the way things are going, the widget is set touching.
3.The setting is URL of the display name and the observed server (To the file name), and a watch interval (amount). *1
4.When the widget is deleted from the home screen and relocated once, the setting is reflected soon when the setting ends. Please wait during 10?15 minute when you do not do this.

*1:The function to judge the server halt condition can be selected even by "404 Not Found" as an option. This function is very effective in the DDNS environment. If this option is not made effective when Internet Protocol address before other machines that operate the Web server after changing Internet Protocol address of the server change is acquired, the event to which DDNS has not been renewed cannot be detected.
