Better Mail grew out of frustration with Android 1.6's default e-mail application.  After countless e-mails stuck in "Sending..." limbo I decided to switch to the Gmail web-app as my primary e-mail application. Better Mail is the Gmail web-app integrated into a first-class Android application.

SWIPE TO SWITCH SCREENS! The app has contact list, dialer, call log, favorite contacts and group support. Press Menu key to pull out setting.

Existing users: Last update added group support as a separate screen. To enable, goto "Global setting" -> "Screen Selection and Screen Orders", select "Contact Group" as an active screen.  
Caution: Although we support creating groups, groups created in the app need to be synced with gamil first before members can be moved around. Otherwise it will not be synced correctly.

Based on phone book, the software realizes the communication on location and instant message by building relationship with contacts, which is easy to use and without the need to register, especially useful to locate friends while travelling, to find a suitable place for an appointment with friends or family, or to prevent children and seniors from getting lost. Converts your incoming text messages (SMS) to speech. It lets you listen to all incoming messages. The benefit is that you can stay safe on the road while driving your car. It also saves you time at home or in the office. By reading your messages to you as they arrive, you don't have to spend time picking up and fumbling with your phone. Great for screening text messages before responding to them.

Sometimes, it's just a lot of fun to hear your phone try to imitate your friends. Try this new way of receiving text messages now.

While this app is running in the foreground, the display can be off, and the phone will still receive and speak text messages. Quick and easy to configure the app to announce sender, message, or both.

On newer Android devices, this app uses the internal text-to-speech library.

On older Android devices, this app uses the text-to-speech (TTS) technology implemented by the free "TTS Extended Service" app. The Text Message Announcer app will check for the existence of the "TTS Extended Service" app on your phone. If it is missing, it will help you install it from the Android Market.

TelecoAV provides Avaya Communication Manager users with a remote control of EC500, and other remote access features. Unlike SIP clients stating compatibilty with Avaya systems, there is no requirement to have Internet access from your Android device directly to your Avaya Communication Manager in order to use TelecoAV. These features (such as EC500) are native capabilities of the Avaya Communication Manager when remote access via the public telephone network is enabled. As long as TelecoAV can call the system access numbers from your Android device, you can use TelecoAV after your system administrator sets up the features for your use. There is no data service required with your Android device in order to benefit from TelecoAV.

If your Avaya Communication Manager is connected to the Internet via a data network, please take a look at Avaya one-X Mobile. The last time we checked, Avaya makes one-X Mobile apps for Android as well as iPhone/iPad/iOS and Blackberry. If your Avaya Communication Manager is not on the Internet, then you can use TelecoAV by CALECO Ventures to get more value from your Avaya Communication Manager as long as your system administrator has setup remote access for you. Our website provides a link to the document from Avaya that details the configuration requirements for the server. If you are using EC500 today, you are probably good-to-go for using TelecoAV from CALECO Ventures.
