Good, not perfect This app is pretty good for a few reasons: Lots of comics, decent interface, not too slow. It could be improved with: better interface options (ability to sort comic list when choosing; hide comics; categories like Editorials/Newspaper/Web Comics), more comics (cyanide and happiness, hijinks ensue, etc), and an updated interface to match the holo theme in ICS/JB.

Great App, Would LIke to See Popular Comics Return This is the best Comic app available. Unfortunately, recent changes beyond the control of the developer have resulted in many of the most popular comics being removed. I understand the comic strip writers want to be compensated for their work like anyone else and I personally wouldn't object to paying a reasonable fee for access to those comics, but DailyInk's prices are outrageous and the app isn't half as good as this one.

Developer deaf to complaints Reader is good, but the developer clearly doesn't seem to think that claiming dozens of comics you won't actually get to read is false advertising. Maybe they should address the DailyInk problem instead of ignoring unhappy users.

BEST COMIC STIP APP PERIOD!!! *** Update 12-14-2012: Some of my favorite strips are no longer available on this app. I am assuming for legal reasons. But I still use this app daily to read most of my favorite comic strips including Garfield, Dilbert, Peanuts and Marmaduke. There is no app for the iOS devices like this for reading daily comic strips. All the popular ones are here! I wouldn't even mind if this app cost a few bucks but its free!

Good app, but updates after US servers even in Europe. Good app, many comics, but useless in Europe, ugly interface, needs large screen support. No options to set default strip and jump directly. On high resolution screens the strips are tiny and do not ajust, even in landscape mode the strips are out of focus. Takes a long time to get updated strips and there is often missing days. Also turns screen on for notification updates and syncing.

Still a good app Great app but King Features no longer allows their strips to be carried by third-party apps. If you want King Features, you have to download Daily Ink and pay the monthly/annual fee. I'd be happy to pay a fee to Comic Reader if they could negotiate a deal with King Features. This is a much better app.

As much as I love to read the cartoons I'll uninstall the app today Comic Reader used to be a convenient and reliable way to read my favorite cartoons every morning. But now this app is plagued by a lack of content (not the developers fault, I guess) and very very frequent FCs (might have the same root cause). Don't like DailyINK beccause it's a pain in the neck to use, but they are the only ones who have the cartoons I like to read (at least most of them). I don't mind paying a small fee to read and would rather use Comic Reader to do so, but the current (sourcing or business) model behind it just doesn't seem to work.

What happened, guys?! Almost none of the comics are accessible anymore - some lead to the dreaded 'network connection broken' error, while others lead to the Popeye message. One of my favourite and most useful apps seems to be completely useless now. I can only hope this will get fixed soon.

Needs a "remove strip" feature I like that it actually uses the cache like a cache should be used. I can read comics when not online (Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 wifi only). A lot of choices for comic strips. My only request would be a "Remove Strip" option when reading a Comic Strip. There are a lot of comics to choose from, and when I stumble across one that no longer is able to pull a feed, or I just do not care for, an option to remove the strip would be handy, so I do not have to scroll through all the possible strips to try and find this particular strip and remove it. Keeps running Works fine, full screen, not made by someone who wants to make money from someone else's cartoons (i.e., no ads). However, the app has recently started to pop up by itself, consuming cpu and memory, even though I keep killing it. Uninstalling until fixed... :-(

What Happened? This was easily a 4, or even 5, star app. But recently the feeds quit working, and now the entire thing seems to have fallen apart. I've dutifully sent in the required reports when a feed fails (which appears to be all of them now), and there is no apparent action on the part of the developers to fix the growing problem. Too bad, really; along with the news, these comics were an integral part of my morning.

Samsung Tab Plus The app used to be one of the best, but for some reason, app is unable to retrieve favorite strips. Extremely frustrated with the developer's rationale that the missing/broken links have caused the problem of missing comic. I found a number of apps which display comics this app no longer seems to have access. As of October 23, 2012, I uninstalled an app which used to be one of the best, now one of the worst. If you are looking for a good program, look elsewhere, this app is not worth the time or aggravation.

Mixed review High definition is good. Download process is slow and causes the device to hang. Keeps losing saved comics. Latest comic is generally only available about 18 hours after other comic readers have already released them. Lots of network issues where there are no network issues. Seems to be the most promising comic reader I have come across, but needs work. Especially around late delivery of comics. I have dropped my rating as the links to most of the comics don't work anymore. Been like this for weeks. Also the so called Blondie fix broke the previously working Blondie.

Great! (but a few strips need fixing) Very intuitive and good selection of comics. Noticed a few comics that aren't working lately: Girls with Slingshots, Zippy the Pinhead, and Zits don't work at all. Red Meat and Dumbing of Age are running behind. A few strips I wish you'd add: Cyanide and Happiness, Little Gamers, Megatokyo, Shortpacked, and Scenes from a Multiverse. Thanks for a great program!
