[2012-11-03] PJ: Helpful App - Problems with Zip files This app is great for the business traveller; however, it appears impossible to actually open the zip file with the receipt pictures in it. We have tried several archive programs with no success. Without the ability to email the report with receipts attached, this good app is rendered useless for our needs. That said, if you don't need the snapshots of the receipts, it's quite useful. |

[2012-10-02] Steven: Almost great, need more currencies Please include more currencies...specifically Thai Baht!? Time selection is 30 mins off of actual time and selected time. Please add the option to customize/add non-listed currencies. Dropped to 3 stars until I can use in more countries...definitely had potential for 5. |

[2012-04-21] Tony Nexus: For business travel, right balance of features I tried many expense trackers to use on business trips. I didn't need budgeting or income tracking features of other apps.I chose Travel Expense as it's interface is fast and easy to use to enter expenses and take a photo of the receipt. The app will export to a .csv that is sent by email. The hierarchy of tracking expenses is you set up one or more "trips" (these can represent projects), then within a trip, you enter your expenses. You set up categories for expenses. There are default categories (airfare, hotel, meals, transportation, etc) plus you can create custom ones. For each expense, you select the expense category, enter the amount, the currency of payment, and enter a conversion rate. The summary of running cost displays the sum cost in the main currency, though the app stores expenses in the local currency. This hierarchy of project/expense category/cost is perfect for my small business. My main need is to track expenses as they occur so I don't forget them when I put together invoices back at the office. I tend to forget to invoice clients for mileage and cash expenses. 5 stars for minor improvements (have emailed them to developer). Price is right too. |
