On Call Alert is an application to help those who must be "on call" at work (ie: at a datacenter or ISP). It is an app to play an alarm if a text (SMS) or email message is received that matches a user-defined list of keywords, phone numbers or email addresses. The alarm sound can be any Android-accessible ringtone and the volume is configurable. The alarm itself has a "snooze" button to disable any scanning for the next few minutes after it is disabled.

[2013-02-19] A Google User: Great app for IT staff I am IT and on call for my company. I need this app so I don't have to worry about missing a call or SMS or email. I wouldn't be without it. I highly recommend this to anyone who doesn't want to miss important calls/SMS/emails. The only downfall is K-9 which doesn't work well with some versions Exchange at this time. I couldn't get it to work. Therefore, it would be nice to have it integrated with tasker or some other email client. I would also like to be able to turn the app off via tasker or a calender entry. |

[2012-11-26] A Google User: Great system for IT staff on call Does a great job of alerting me, with a variety of options (activating on subject line, other keywords, etc). Have been using it with nagios for the past year with no complaints, and have recommended it to many colleagues. |
