Tips for Use
This App will help you plan for, navigate during, and connect to other people and organizations at BlogHer '11. Here are a few tips for using some of the features:
Favorites: Plan your attendance by selecting items using the "Favorite" buttons. You can then quickly and easily pull up the exact schedule, location, and other information you need during the event with a few simple taps.
Contact Exchange: Exchange your contact information with others easily. This is entirely opt in and you only share your information with those you explicitly choose. Prepare by editing your contact info with the display name you want others to see. All the other information you enter will only be shared when you choose someone in the "Attendee" list. They send you their information by choosing you on their device.
QR Scan: Scan any QR (Quick Response) code you see be quickly directed to useful information about products, events, to check into sessions, and many other functions.
Updating: All key data is stored locally on your device so it works when there is poor or no WiFi or Cell connection. When there is connectivity, the app takes advantage to communicate with the CrowdCompass EventCenter server to provide updates to you and save your favorites and ratings. This occurs in the background so your usage of the app is not interrupted. When connected, the time to update depends on the device and the strength of the connection.
Notifications: BlogHer '11 can provide you with important notifications. You will receive a notification on your device even if the app is not running. The message is also saved and can be seen again in the Message Center of the app.
