[2013-01-11] A Google User: WONDERING WHAT STAR A bell chimed so softly. The breeze ran like a trotter, Like some white flock of angels Soaring over the water. The captain beheld on the sea A small light as a guide And he wondered what star Was bourne here on the tide. FROM JAMES MICHAEL CHAPESKIE |
[2013-01-11] A Google User: Best sky app So smooth! Absolutely love this app. Prefer it to Google Sky without a doubt. |
[2013-01-10] A Google User: Really great I love this app. It's such a great way of finding your way around the sky. Support is really responsive too. |
[2013-01-04] A Google User: Works great! Used it to point my Dobsian telescoope & see M31, the Andromeda Galaxy for the first time! |
[2012-12-18] A Google User: Crashes almost as soon as it loads The original version worked ok but now it crashes soon after loading making it useless. The menus work but the starmap remains static or goes blank. I have trieduninstalling and reinstalling but it is still the same |
[2012-12-01] A Google User: Works again. Good customer service. I had a problem with a previous version. I emailed the developer. I got a quick response and it was fixed in about a day. I received updates in between. I like this app. It all so seems to be pointing in the right direction better than it used to. I enjoy finding stars at night. Good stuff. I recommend this app for both reasons. |
[2012-11-21] A Google User: Nexus 7 Vortex on my Nexus 7 was broken and with the upgrade to Jelly Bean 4.2 kaput. However, the latest version of Vortex sorted all the problems out and it now works perfectly. |
[2012-11-17] A Google User: Stopped Working after 2 Weeks Nexus 7 32MB - Vortex functioned fairly well for just under 2 weeks. Then, it stopped and now refuses to respond. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but it shuts itself down immediately. I want my money back, especially since several similar, but FREE, apps work perfectly well. |
[2012-11-12] A Google User: Bad purchase Would like a refund.wouldn't load at all.wasted$5, and can't even figure out how to get a refund |
[2012-11-12] A Google User: A great little app! I didn't have much more than a passing interest in astronomy - until I downloaded this app! Now I love going out into the garden when the skies are clear (although it still works when they aren't) and learning about what I can see! It was fun to use on holiday too when the skyscape looked completely different. A great little app! |
[2012-11-10] A Google User: Doesn't work right I bought this program a year ago and have tried many times to get it to focus on the planets and stars, but it won't. I would not recommend. |
[2012-10-23] A Google User: Great app |
[2012-10-21] A Google User: works great thanks for the update... now working great on droid bionic running ics |
[2012-08-27] A Google User: Very nice. I particularly like that you can adjust for stars that you can see with the naked eye. However, with city lights it still shows more stars than I can see even on the lowest visibility setting. It also seems to have a problem using Skymode in landscape. Otherwise it's perfect. |
[2012-08-27] A Google User: So-so |
[2012-08-16] A Google User: Love this app, has really helped me with my new star gazing hobby....fab! |

[2012-04-22] A Google User: Awesome App This is the app I've waited for ever since I got my android phone. I'm now using the Asus Transformer TF101 tablet running ICS and it appears to work perfectly so far. Very impressive. Thanks! |
[2012-04-11] A Google User: Bad app App turned off as soon as I opened it. As if that wasn't bad enough, it froze my phone up so I couldn't even return it. |

[2012-03-27] A Google User: Nice I just purchased so still playing with it, but so far very cool. Had to close as it didn't like coming out of sleep on my tablet. Black screen with menu buttons still visible. Not quite a crash. Bit rough coming back from a wiki search, but it did come back. Worth 5 bucks....Acer Iconia 200 rooted |

[2012-03-13] A Google User: Lionel E It only worked once and after that it just started to kick me out of the application. It's cool but It's needs to be fixed then I'll give it 5. |

[2012-02-04] A Google User: Superb Night Sky Guide Beautiful & informative depictions of night sky objects & constellations. Love the animating twinkling effects. Very helpful for navigating & identifying stars etc. Outstanding app. |
[2012-01-29] A Google User: The map on this app agrees with the stars in my bacckyard. Great! |
[2012-01-21] A Google User: Absolutely great app! This is a superb app. Excellent Deep Sky Object images. Not unrealistic Hubble ones, but real life pictures of what you can expect to see on a reasonable diy image. Great app for the money. Great service too. I contacted the developer with a suggestion and he will make it happen! When CCD/FOV elements are added this will be a great app for planning my next imaging run when I am not at my laptop. Well done. Top marks. Buy it, you will not be disappointed. Better than google sky map! |
[2012-01-05] A Google User: Outstanding First blush is that this app is amazing. Especially the see through aspect using the camera mode. I very seldom buy an app without a free version first but this is one of the few I took a chance on and I'm glad I did. Keep up the great work. |
[2012-01-04] A Google User: Update error After every update, I have to add the app icon back onto my home screen. The icon is deleted when the app updates. |
[2011-12-27] A Google User: Doesn't work Does not work on mytouch 3g slide. When I try to open the application it will make my phone system restart. Uninstalling. Please refund |
[2011-12-14] A Google User: Nice app. Great app lots of info and looks good. Just wish the AR worked on my Desire HD which is running Android 2.3.5. |

[2011-11-17] A Google User: just exellent nothing comes close |
[2011-11-09] A Google User: Night mode not dark Night mode is useless as it makes the sky 50% bright red for no good reason and hardware buttons remain lit! HTC Desire 2.2 |
[2011-11-08] A Google User: Rick The best app of this type out there. Don't even bother w the others! |
[2011-10-14] A Google User: Love This! My kids and I have had much fun with this. Excellent customer service, as well! |
[2011-10-13] A Google User: Yes, NGCs !!! Very good application, rich with catalogs: Messier, Caldwell and NGC. These cover hundreds of clear sky nights for amateur stargazers. And new features are still going to come, the developer is open to suggestions and answers questions. |
[2011-10-02] A Google User: Grear app Closest thing to Starmap pro for android out there, plenty of settings to mess with,an upside back to front view would be handy for neut telescopes |
[2011-09-17] A Google User: Very simply.......amazing!!! Download it now or you will hate yourself for the rest of your life. Seriously!!! |
[2011-09-10] A Google User: needs larger fonts Please make font size adjustible. Mostly unreadable for old eyes. |
[2011-09-03] A Google User: Excellent app. Found more messier objects since installing this (2 clear nights ago) than in the last 9 months of star hopping! Very happy! |
[2011-09-01] A Google User: Better compared to all other programs here. Please show eq. and az. grids and their values also for selected object. Only goes down to year 1900AD. |
[2011-08-29] A Google User: Absolute crap. Not a patch on Distant Suns. Updates are slow and annoying, still tries to download updates even when you uninstall it. Avoid! |
[2011-08-20] A Google User: Really well designed Really fun |
[2011-08-02] A Google User: Nice, but not worth the asking price. For free, you get Google Sky. For money, you get this. It's nice and I like it. But, stick with Google Sky and save your dollars. There's no compelling reason to spend the money for this product. Period. |
[2011-08-01] A Google User: Very Nice Very good app and the developer is great |
[2011-07-30] A Google User: Great app and the closest thing I can find to Sky Walk for iPhones. Just wish it was smoother. |

[2011-07-26] Brynmor: Great app lots of info but the movement is jerky compared to Google Sky with the sensor speed on fast. Smooth the movement out and it would be perfect |
[2011-07-23] A Google User: Very laggy text rendering. Needs easy way to track and freeze while pointing (e.g. to zoom). HUD could have info. Needs sky map style pointing search |
[2011-07-23] Karl: Wicked Ap but won't let me update keeps on saying won't install to sd card or usb storage htc desire works ok on galaxy s |

[2011-07-02] A Google User: @King, You just need to point your phone at the stars to activate it. It doesn't get much simpler. |

[2011-06-10] A Google User: Absolutely amazing, it is so realistic. This is well worth the purchasing, very easy to use and a beautiful display of the stars. (My only issue is the live mode that tracks the stars cannot be disabled with all monuments of the phone). Defiantly 5*. |
