Norstedts Pocket Swedish Dictionary is a modern dictionary with a base vocabulary of 18,000 words and phrases. It is the perfect dictionary when you want to quickly find a simple explanation for a Swedish word. All the definitions consist of complete sentences in which the word in question is set in context. The entry for each headword gives the pronunciation and part of speech. Entries for nouns, adjectives or verbs also give the inflected forms.

As a complement, there is a very useful section on Swedish grammar and an overview of Swedish public holidays and festivals. There is also a digital map.

《古文观止》是清人吴楚材、吴调侯于康熙三十三年１６９４年选定的。二吴均是浙江绍兴人，长期设馆授徒，此书是为学生编的教材。除本书外，二吴还细著了《纲鉴易知录》。《古文观止》的原编者吴楚材、吴调侯，系叔侄，浙江山阴（今绍兴）人。他们均是塾师，以课业授徒为生，只具中等学历，在清代文坛和学术界算不得是入流人物。 乘权，字楚材。一生研习古文，好读经史。康熙十五年（1676年）就在福州辅助先生  民国版古文观止教伯父之子学习古文，后竟以授馆终其一生。除参与选编《古文观止》外，他还同周之炯、周之灿一起采用朱熹《通鉴纲目》体例，编过一个历史普及读本——《纲鉴易知录》。大职，字调侯，也是嗜“古学”而“才器过人”。他一生的主要经历，是在家乡同叔父一道教书。

The menu button shows these same four functions, defines their names, and offers two more valuable features:  access to the index and the ability to manage your own bookmarks, and access to audio recordings of the book.

Note the instructive messages that pop up reminding you of the menu and that you can set your own bookmarks by touching the screen while you are reading at the point you would like to place the mark.

The two small issues and how to easily bypass them.

1.  If you haven't already flipped a page at least once, selecting a bookmark will take you to the requested section but not actually scroll down to the desired position.

If you simply try again it will work and keep working for the reset of the session, or if you flip a page before accessing bookmarks then the very first bookmark will work properly.

2.  As currently implemented bookmarks are tied to the physical size of the screen.  Bookmarks you make on your device will go to the right place, but index entries are device specific and as provided work correctly for HVGA screens.

We beg your pardon on these two minor issues and promise to resolve them in future publications.

《格林童话》产生于十九世纪初，是由德国著名语言学家，雅各布·格林和威廉·格林兄弟收集、整理、加工完成的德国民间文学。它是世界童话的经典之作，自问世以来，在世界各地影响十分广泛。格林兄弟以其丰富的想象、优美的语言给孩子们讲述了一个个神奇而又浪漫的童话故事。在国内，日本，台湾也有根据《格林童话》创作的故事集。
作者简介：
雅各布·格林(1785年1月4日-1863年9月20日)，德国著名语言学家，和弟弟威廉·格林(1786年2月24日-1859年12月16日)曾同浪漫主义者交往，思想却倾向于资产阶级自由派。他们注意民间文学，搜集民间童话，亲自记录，加以整理。其中有许多幻想丰富的神奇故事表达出人民的愿望和是非感：贪婪的富有者得不到好下场；被压迫、被歧视的劳动者和儿童经过重重灾难，最后得到胜利；农民和手工业者在受人轻视或凌辱时显示出惊人的智慧，而暴君、地主自以为有权有势，实际上却愚蠢无知，在人前丢丑；忠诚老实、被“聪明人”嘲笑的“傻瓜”总是得到同情和赞扬。但这些童话的蓝本大都是封建社会的产物，更加以编纂者的唯心主义世界观的局限，其中不少是带有浓厚的宗教情绪，宣扬封建道德，鼓励安分守己的处世态度的。威廉·格林，德国民间文学研究者，语言学家，民俗学家。1786年2月24日生于美因河畔哈瑙的一个律师家庭，1859年12月16日卒于柏林。1803年入马尔堡大学学法律。1829年威廉担任了大学教授。1837 年格林兄弟和另 外5位教授因写信抗议汉诺威国王破坏宪法而被 免去教授职务 ，这7位教授被称为格廷根七君子。1840年底应普鲁士国王威廉四世之邀去柏林，任皇家科学院院士，并在大学执教。1848年雅科布被选为法兰克福国民议会代表。去世后葬于柏林马太教堂墓地 。

Benito Pérez Galdós, el más grande novelista y cronista español del siglo XIX, nació en Las Palmas (Canarias) en 1843. Ingresó en la Real Academia y falleció en Madrid en 1920.

Benito Pérez Galdós representa el punto culminante de la novela española del siglo XIX. Entre sus obras más famosas deben citarse Doña Perfecta, Fortunato y Jacinta y Marianela. Destacó también como dramaturgo; pero fue precisamente en sus Episodios nacionales donde desplegó con más brillantez sus insuperables dotes de narrador.

Este relato ambientado en el Madrid del 1808, donde una madre busca desesperadamente a su hijo Mundo. Una interesante reflexión sobre la Guerra y sobre el Hombre. El Levantamiento del dos de mayo, ocurrido en 1808 es el nombre por el que se conocen los hechos violentos acontecidos en Madrid (España) aquella jornada, surgidos por la protesta popular ante la situación de incertidumbre política generada tras el Motín de Aranjuez. Reprimida la protesta por las fuerzas napoleónicas presentes en la ciudad, se extendió por todo el país una ola de proclamas de indignación y llamamientos públicos a la insurrección armada que desembocarían en la Guerra de Independencia Española.
