はじめに

　これはブログに書き溜めた内容です。
2005/8～2010/7にかけて、ブログ上に不規則に書き続けました。

　ちょうど、社会的には、NPOがあちらでもこちらでも一斉にたちがってきて、参加を促すように色々なお誘いをいただきました。
　結局、NPO法人には一つも参加しませんでしたし、指定管理者制度にも係わりを持たないまま、自分では２つの市民活動のための任意団体に関わってきています。現在も同じです。
　その理由は、自分で株式会社を経営している関係上、その会計処理のあいまいさと目的がはっきりと分からない。その状況では危険性を感じたことがあります。
　より資金調達等で制約が強い任意団体でも、やりたい目的は果たせると踏みましたことも理由です。

何のためにNPOや指定管理者制度が立ち上がったのかを、現場目線で検証したものです。
　何の為のNPO法人、何の為の指定管理制度なのかが分かりづらいままでしたから。

2011年3月の現状とは
　基本的には変わりありません。一つ一部の組織では、10円間お節目を超えて、さらに「社会貢献型企業」としての道筋をしっかりと踏まえて頑張ってくれているNPO法人もあります。

これからの、NPO法人や、指定管理者制度の在り方を考えるうえでの参考意見として取り上げていただければ幸いです。

The Parasite is a novelette written by the famous author, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

The main character is a young man named Austin Gilroy. He studies physiology and knows a professor who studies the occult.

The young man is introduced to a middle-aged woman known as Miss Penclosa, who has a crippled leg and psychic powers...

THE PARASITE is an enjoyable novella that can be comfortably devoured in a single sitting and atmospheric literature that exemplifies Victorian behaviour and beliefs.

Highly recommended if you'd like to sample some Arthur Conan Doyle writing that is well off the beaten track!

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is, of course, best known for his Sherlock Holmes and Professor Challenger characters. What is much less well known is that Doyle was fascinated with spiritualism and the paranormal.

"Round the Red Lamp" features realistic stories and episodes of medical life, sketches of old-fashioned doctors, medical students and their pranks.

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wrote a letter to his friend regarding this book.

Here is a portion of what he wrote: It is the province of fiction to treat painful things as well as cheerful ones.

The story which wiles away a weary hour fulfills an obviously good purpose, but not more so, I hold, than that which helps to emphasize the graver side of life.

A tale which may startle the reader out of his usual grooves of thought, and shocks him into seriousness, plays the part of the alliterative and tonic in medicine, bitter to the taste but bracing in the result.

There are a few stories in this little collection which might have such an effect, and I have so far shared in your feeling that I have reserved them from serial publication. In book-form the reader can see that they are medical stories, and can, if he or she be so minded, avoid them.

Forget the Michael Crichton book (and Spielberg movie) that copied the title.

This is the original: the terror-adventure tale of The Lost World.

Writing not long after dinosaurs first invaded the popular imagination, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle spins a yarn about an expedition of two scientists, a big-game hunter, and a journalist (the narrator) to a volcanic plateau high over the vast Amazon rain forest.

The bickering of the professors (a type Doyle knew well from his medical training) serves as witty contrast to the wonders of flora and fauna they encounter, building toward a dramatic moonlit chase scene with a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

And the character of Professor George E. Challenger is second only to Sherlock Holmes in the outrageous force of his personality: he's a big man with an even bigger ego, and if you can grit your teeth through his racist behavior toward Native Americans, he's a lot of fun.

This novel introduced Conan Doyle's other great character, Professor Challenger.

The original "dinosaurs still living in a hidden jungle" tale, this timeless adventure has inspired everything from King Kong to Jurassic Park and is still the best of the lot.
