The Federalist Papers (v. 1.0.7) Разработано Ken Hunt |
The Federalist Papers are a series of 85 articles written in support of the new U.S. constitution which replaced the very flawed Articles of Confederation. Published under pseudonyms, authors Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay spelled out the reasons why the new constitution should be ratified. According to historian Richard B. Morris, they are an "incomparable exposition of the Constitution, a classic in political science unsurpassed in both breadth and depth by the product of any later American writer."
The Federalist Papers are a natural choice for inclusion in the American DNA section of the 'United States Constitution' app found in the Android Market. I did not include it because it would have doubled the size of the that app and I want to maintain a little size discipline, so to speak. So after many request I created 'The Federalist Papers'. It's not annotated like the Constitution, but it does contain a search feature which should make personal analysis a little easier. I'll be making improvements as I go of course, so for now here you go.

[2013-08-03] A Google User: Great Reference Tool 03AUG2013. Love this APP, both this and The US Constitution APP (documents) should be at every American's fingertips. I am probably preaching to the choir here, but check out the book, The Federalist Papers by Glenn Beck, one half is the original text, the other half is written in modern language, kind of like a Bible Concordance. I am sure I am among friends here if you downloaded this APP. |

[2012-10-21] A Google User: Amazing! Please do Anti-Federalist Papers too? I love your apps. This one is amazing. I sent you the complete Anti-Federalist papers too. I am truly hoping that you make an app for those too because these only tell half of the story. Understanding how the Constitution was born requires study of all of the Papers And the Anti Federalist Papers complete an important body of the writings of the Constitutional debate era. These are only half of them. Thank you! (Update: A few months have gone by and it seems like he just doesn't wanna do that app. This app is only half of the actual papers. There were papers written by the other side as well, they are called the anti federalist papers. Without them, only half of the story of our constitution is being told. Yet, for some reason, ken refuses to make that app. I just dont get it.) (Update 6 mo. later: This app is pretty much pointless now since it's incomplete and doesn't even have the Anti-Federalist Papers. Ken knows it, but he doesn't seem to care. Uninstalling because someone else has already offered to make the app. Subtracted 3 stars because half a rating for half an app seems appropriate then rounded down for him knowingly leaving this incomplete.) |
