Calculates Civil, Astronomical and Nautical Sunrise Sunset times. Has two widgets to show the sunrise and sunset times.
Also shows Julian Day, Right Ascension (RA) and Declination of Sun.

[2011-12-19] G: Not Impressed Too Much First thing it does is ask for GPS (fine) location, so you have to change your setting from "E911 ONLY" to "Location On", which pinpoints your location and helps you lose your privacy. After it knows where you are, it shouldn't ask again. But it does, and asks every time you start the app. It will not function unless you allow it to pinpoint your location. I also could not find a menu. I don't believe it has one and there are no settings to adjust. There is no help available within the app or any information about the data that the screens are providing to you. i.e. "Right Ascention", Declination, etc. The screens are simple, and cannot be customized in any way. I installed it on an LG Optimus M, (MetroPCS). Model:LGE LG-MS690 2 stars IMO |

[2011-11-17] subassy: Why no location remember? I just wanted to know the time the sun sets, that's it. But this app has to fatal flaws: can't just "set these gps coordinates as my permanent coordinates" so apparently you MUST have GPS turned on at all times. What?? (And if it isn't the screen to enable gps is constantly popping up.) And second half the time even when the GPS is turned on it won't even give me the sunset/sunrise time, just shows blank. Maybe GPS constantly would matter if I traveled a lot (I don't). To me this is a useless app. |
